THANKS YOU SO MUCH VEENA For sharing..its the most easiest way to make a cake lace mix and more durable too.. i tried it so many time... and i was so happy that i dont need to buy those ready made one..that are so pricey.... thanks so much ..godbless u ..for u shared it...
Thanks for sharing your talent to teach others!! I am also a cake artist and we do this to help others not to be seen and give a speech!!! Really hard to believe how opinionated people can be about how something is done! Be thankful for what you get 🙄😜 Just enjoy she is willing to take her time to teach!!
This was awesome I have wanted to do lace and actually bought some which was expensive, my project fell through so it ended up going out of date, this is perfect for the home caker, as you just make it when you need it, thank you.
I have made this recipe a few time's and I really love it! Thank you for sharing this recipe Love it! I recommend it to everyone out there. You are Amaizing! Thanks
I just came across your video and it was a game changer!! Thank you so much for this recipe. I finally found the one that really works for me after trying more than a dozen of other recipes and failed miserably and this one really works. God bless you! :)
Thank you for your most informative video. I have stayed away from this technique for silly reasons ... fear! However, you have restored my confidence and will try it soon. Thank you.
Hi Veena! Thank you for saving my sanity and my cake! I use tylose from CAI and it seems to have a much stronger gelling effect than the tylose you used in your video so I ended up starting with 1/3 c boiling water and adding a couple more teaspoons to get to a spreadable consistency. I baked my lace and it worked perfectly but my lace did not have the pliability and stretch that yours does. Do you know what ingredient I could add (non-vegetarian ingredients are okay) that would give it some pliability? My leftover lace because crunchy and super brittle after a few hours, and I'd love to be able to pre-make pieces and store them. Thank you for sharing your talent and expertise!
Sherri, Usually the quantity of the water depends on the consistency more than the recipe. If you can get a good spreading consistency is all that matters. Having said that the more water you add the weaker the lace - cause the stretch has less elastic. I hope I'm making sense to you. I would not recommend adding any more ingredients but rather trying to work with the exact formula I have given you just once. I think even with your strong tylose it should the same. I have used many different brand with this over the last 5 years and stuck to this formula almost all the time ..
I had the same problem. I used CAI brand and it was very crumbly. It did make an interesting paper consistency lace which i used on wedding cake cookies. It was pretty, but NOT flexible.
Hello Veena Mam I’m not able to find measurements of the ingredients can u help me with it? I read ur blog post too! Waiting for ur rply Recipe seems super easy but didn’t find out measurements
Thanks so much for sharing with us... I'm indeed feeling grateful for watching your work. .simply and well explained. Will try it out sooner. Thanks God bless you pretty good for this.

very proffesional. receipe.work.and very organised, clear information such as printing receipe or watching video. thank u sooooo much. learned much fm u💞💞 can we put in microwave?
Thank you so much for the video! Your video helped me a lot! First time using lace for my cakes! Can i ask, if we able to use the lace on buttercream cakes besides fondant? Will it melt?
Thank you for the tutorial! Looks amazing.. one question though, can I replace tylose with CMC? And corn syrup with glucose? And if I can, will they be the same amount? Thank you sooo very much!
Love how you explained the technique, but did not say how to place them in the oven, and the ingredients. Could you tell us please, do u place the forms on a baking pan? Thanks
Please click on the link to my blog. There is a lot more information there. There is only that much I can put on the video - it's already a LONG video!!
Thanks for this beautiful tutorial. If I make 2 lace borders, can they be joined together & how - by brushing some edible glue or plain water along the border and pressing the two ends together? Thanks
Hi Veena, I just made some laces with this recipe and was experimenting with 2 different consistency. The first being thicker and second being thinner. The mixture was very thick in the beginning, almost like a dough, so I had to add a lot of water to make it spreadable. I guess it could be the matter if different brand of tylose or cmc powder. Apart from this, am puzzled if this lace to hold up well against cream cheese frosting? I know it is perfectly alright with fondant, ganache and buttercream, but cream cheese is a different ball game, I am very curious. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experty, am very grateful and hope to hear from you soon.
Lace tends to soak up moisture over time. So it will become soft when you put it on the cream cheese but I don't think it will melt. So I think you can still use it. I highly recommend chilling the cake really well first.
Hi Veena, am reporting back on putting laces on cream cheese frosting. I took the risk of putting the lace on the cold frosting, at the very last minute possible. Adhesion was a breezy. The lace didn't dissolved into the frosting like how fondants would be. Just like what you said, it turned soft since it can absorb moisture easily. Hope my comments will come in handy for others. Thank you.
Hi dear Vienna I want to ask you thanks 🙏 so much for your receipt. I am from Armenia 🇦🇲 and buying sugarveil it's so expensive and you are having help us it's very cool 😎. Thanks so much and new creations
Thanks veena ji. I was looking for a veg version. u solved my problem. I hv a question. can I dry it in microwave. I don't hv the oven.do these mats bear the microwave
NO the microwave won't work. bu you can air dry it. In the video I showed you the Pink lace that was air dried.. Just left it on the table over night. Depending on the humidity in the weather may take a couple of hours

One more doubt if you would kindly help me with it. By experience, I know that fondant accents can't stay longer on a whipped cream cake. What about gumpaste flowers? Will they melt as well?
I did it! I tried this recipe and the lace came out perfectly! For self-teaching, I tried this recipe in two ways. great tutorial. Looks so easy. I bought some lace powder "Magic decor" and I am so frustrated as I unsuccessfully try to get my lace out of the silicon mold. Actually it came easily out of a simpler, narrower and I think thicker mold that is green. But I have bought one beautiful lace mold in pink, veeeery thin, and wider and longer than the green one. There are some parts so thin (almost filigran) and dense that it seems impossible to get it out with any other material as the mold is not deep enough so there is nothing to hold on. As you look very experienced do you maybe know what angm I doing wrong? I did everything like they said in their written tutorial and also on youtube, tried to bake a little longer........but it just keeps breaking on these extra parts although I am veeeery careful.
NO need to add white if you going to make it black. Sometimes you may need a lot of gel to get to a good black so I suggest using gel in the liquid ingredients first(try to use less water)
Veena Azmanov Thanks for replying. I actually tried it and it turned out really well!! I used black gel paste (Wilton). I do have to say though, like another commenter here, it took another 1/4 C of water. Still very happy :).
Hi, first, thank you so much for the recepe, and I have a question;can I use silicone mats that I bought from AliExpress? I'm not sure if it would work same way... I tryed to use it with sugar Vail and it's failed, lays just cracked. Thank you.

Hi Veena, thanks for the video.. i had a problem with the recipe..after drying the lace has turned brittle :( what could have been the problem? I have used wilton tylose powder..
Hi San - Sounds like you live in a dry weather. You need to keep it less in the mold. Once dried - remove and place between parchment paper to protect it from drying. It is sugar so it has the tendency to dry when left out.

Thank you Veena for sharing.....do you have the recipe please?
Hi veena... Very informative video. I wanted to know if to remove lace while the mat is still warm or after it has cooled down to room temperature?
The lace does not become hot - the temperature is really low - as soon as the lace releases from the the corners you can start removing it gently.
Thank you veena miss
Good afternoon. Love the video, thank you for uploading. Can i store the mixture in an airtight container to be used at a later date?
Yes I speak about storage on my video as well as my blog thanks
I believe Jazzles 77 wants to know about the leftover batter not the baked laces. even I have the same question. how to store the leftover batter?
Good job. Please do we preheat the oven or we just bake at ones?
The oven is too low to bake. just dries it out
Thank you for sharing your knowledge x
You are very welcome Caesmum

Yes, you can use it on buttercream or whipped cream cake.
Thank you so much for your prompt reply, mam :)
