- Hey friends! I hope you enjoy this little tutorial on making one of my favorite meals, breakfast! I explain how to make easy homemade biscuits, cheese grits, and sausage gravy! It’s my first cooking video, so be kind 😅 We love you all! As always, be blessed and happy junkin!

That looks delicious! And yes it makes a mess 😅 I don’t have a dishwasher so I try to wash as I go. My husband would love that everyday but once a week is plenty. That meal holds you over all day 😁

Try cooking bacon in 400 degree oven in an a foil wrapped pan doesn’t make such a mess ad bacon stays straight. I also use pet milk for mashed potatoes , gravy etc. loved the biscuit receipt

Love a little coffee in my cream too. Grits with sugar were never appealing I love fixing breakfast for my hubby also. I ended up cooking for this Memorial Day. My husband is retired Air Force and I really appreciated your acknowledgment and recognition of all the service men and women who have served and serve to protect our country. It was a blessing. Try cooking your bacon in the oven, it’s a game changer! Hardly any mess and you can get it as crispy as you want and it leaves you free to cook other things like your eggs and grits.
Loved your video. I have always wanted to make biscuits and I will surely try the cat head biscuits. We use our cast iron pans alot. Keep your videos coming they are a joy!!

Kayla I really enjoyed your cooking video. I always split some of my biscuits open and add some butter inside for a good jelly biscuit. I also line a cookie sheet and bake my bacon. I just cant stand that popping lol. Cheese grits are my favorite too. I learned from an old southern cook to add a little Chalula hot sauce to my cheese grits and mac and cheese. I have never seen anyone use buttermilk in gravy before. Thats a first for me. We had a close friend who died from injuries when his hummer was blown up in Iraq. All 6 Buddies were killed when they volunteered to do a road check. His name was Richard Marshall. He was a true Hero. Did 3 tours over there. He was in one of the tanks that over took Baghdad the first time. Patriot Family here too. 🇺🇸

Ain’t nothing like a country breakfast! Looked delicious. I’m not much of a grits girl, but love biscuits and gravy. I’ve just about had to give them up but indulge every so often. When you work hard and go go go, you need some comfort food. This was fun. Let’s cook some more. 😄

I do pretty good but i sure do miss my mama, grandma, and old granny.. and my husband's grandma B😔 Food just don't come no better than there's! I think all southerners have those older family members that have passed on, that could cook like no other! Nothing like A good seasoned cast iron skillet for cooking! Mmm love me some cheesy grits! You can also add water to the eggs if you don't have milk it works good
I like to cook my bacon in the oven, less splashy grease, and it’s always crispy, try it, if you have a stone cookie sheet it’s even better
We could've been best friends, but I'm so much older. I always tell my husband, "Kayla's got a video to watch...you know, the one that I love her voice". Then he knows who I'm talking about!
Oh l loved your breakfast, those biscuits look to die for…….. going to attempt to make them. My brother was killed in Viet Nam in Sept 1965….. l was 9 years old and l remember what my parents went through…… God Bless our military. In 1973 my other brother was injured and hit with Agent Orange now suffering with Parkinson’s and is slowly lost his ability to walk. Pray for those Veterans who are suffering from mental illness and illness due to Agent Orange and PTS……. Thank you so much.

God Bless both of your brothers. My daddy died of cancer due to agent orange in 2007. He had terrible PTSD. He was the youngest of 9 kids from Georgia, the only one to finish high school. The day he graduated he signed up for the Marines. He was and always will be my hero! God Bless all of our veterans past and present!

Have you tried adding a little water to your eggs if you don’t have any milk. My Mom taught me that and it’s pretty good. Also I love you videos
