Liking this round of mods on my 1LE 😬 Still gotta figure out whats wrong with the flex fuel sensor. The C8 cover look is clean 😍
Its sounds so clean running not like the stock rattle from lifters or injectors ..i dont here that nasty rattle ..awesome do you nottice the difference?
Put some f11 on that cold air hose it mite shine it up a bit or Is armoral
No difference on the sound. That stock cold air hose def is 🤢
@@DroppinGearz my 2019 sounds like old school lifter tapping noise does your do this ..
@@DroppinGearz i bought it brand new but the engine has a noise at idol i hate..
Really slick looking manifold.Glad you used the Corvette cover.Thx!
How have the mods been performing since the install and tune? Just order mine this week. Definitely watching this to install!
All good so far! Performing really good at the track too.
For the flex sensor, my kit came with a piggy back for the evap solenoid on the manifold as a power source. That way if something fails, it'll be on that solenoid rather than a coil. That'd be my recommendation for the flex fuel sensor.
I looked it up and found that but just ended up powering it from the fuse box.
Yes,got mine from Leathal Garage, love the evap power connector and the oem factory fuel line connector, didnt like how he screwed the fuel line connector from behind the crimp in the fuel line rail
Cool project! Thanks for the informative video! Friendly FYI the music was significantly louder than your voice. Thank you.
Thank you, I will work on the music sound volume 🤘🏽
Any issues with the manifold cover rubbing?
It rubs a little for sure.
Just installed mines and dyno tuned but ever since I installed it I hear a rattling sound by the firewall any idea what it could be ? The car is running fine but the rattling concerns me
Not sure. Check and see if anything is touching the frame up top. If it has the C8 cover it’s close but doesn’t touch thou.
With the brake booster is it just using a little bit of hose to connect the two? Also what size hose did you use to connect the 2? 1/4in? I feel like I’m over complicating it then what it needs to be. Trying to get an understand of everything that goes into it before I attempt it. Thanks
To be honest I don’t remember the sizes. If you search for other install videos, there’s another video from another channel and it has links to the items he used. I took the brake booster with me and got what I needed at the local auto parts store with what they had available.
@@DroppinGearz okay thank you for the reply
Where are you ordering your tune from and did you clean up the ports?
Not ported and I’m tuned by GPI (Gwatney Performamce) Ryan Stevens.
So when u go on e85 did your Camaro stop making the pop noise or it stayed ?
Stayed some. It’s all in the tune.
How did you hide the sensor wire did you put it under the manifold ? Or under the corvette cover
Corvette cover
Do the camaro side engine cover plates still fit with the Lt2?
No, but I think some have modified them so they do. Check out the forums
You might need a better quality flex fuel kit dsx is the way to go
How does the hood close? Any issues?
The hood closes fine. The cover touches the liner of the hood. Other than that no issues
Sounds nicer then stock ..i dont here that nasty rattle from stock lifters witch sound like lifters ..
hey bro can you link the 90* connection for the lt2 intake?
For the front vacuum?
@@DroppinGearz yessir
Man it sound cleaner ..can you explain this?
Different air flow. I really don’t know.
Did you notice any loss on the low end power?
No
Do you have to have headers for this setup ?
No. You can just add the LT2 manifold. Or just the flex fuel kit.
@@DroppinGearz I have both but I was just gonna add a cat back exhaust with a ported 87mm throttle body I should be still ok shouldn’t I ?
Without a tune? I’m not sure about the throttle body.
@@DroppinGearz I’m gonna get a tune after all is installed I was just wondering if it was gone run funny without the headers
No, all good.

It will not touch the hood.
It touches the liner. Gotta see if it will eventually cut through the liner and touch the hood.
@@DroppinGearz Yeah, I made that comment not realizing you were using the corvette cover on top of the intake. You can run with out the liner and remove the water tray from the scoop, it will evacuate heat better sitting and while driving.
@@donbjorkland1386 thanks, I’ll check this out!
@@DroppinGearz I realigned the plastic tubing to look better and used a rubber hose elbow after cutting 1/2 inch off the plastic fitting sticking up out of the intake. I can send you a pic
@@donbjorkland1386 got it, thanks!
That line will rub a hole if your hood liner.
The fuel line?
@@DroppinGearz I believe his talking about your line where you said you will get a catch can in the future.. btw good video, I like your e85 setup, I am building my own and will mimic the same setup
@@BLUPRINT1LE I see. I got the elbow for that connection. I took the fancy cover off as it was rubbing into the hood liner and hood it self. Nothing else rubs tho. Glad you can use the video for reference! 🤘🏽
@@DroppinGearz ahhh I noticed that with mines as well. Did the fuel line with you have the cover did it rub across top too or was it just the front nose of the liner. That’s where I seen it on mines
@@BLUPRINT1LE just the front.
