Absolutely a great video just got through doing this in the Volvo parking lot this afternoon in a hour and half in 98degrees..man what a job but I wouldn't have nearly the insight on how to gone about it without your video great job!Thanks a bunch
Useful video took for me 2 hours to replace mine whole motor blower including wiping dust inside duct and put all back together saved at least 300$ labor it was easy fix

I have a 2016 Volvo 670 and drove it all week with the AC blowing high. Got in town last night and went off duty, turning the truck off. Got to check on truck next day doing pretrip, and when I turned truck on, the cab ac would show it was on, but it wouldn’t blow at all. The sleeper blower worked fine. Is this likely the resistor or the blower itself? Thanks.
@@nestorrico5431 it’s been working this week nonstop, but I do plan on replacing blower motor anyways, because it’s too damn hot out here for it to go out again and me being somewhere I’d have to pay a premium for the same part.
I just got my first truck 3 months, a Volvo of course and I love it! Sad to say the blower just died on me yesterday and I've been trying to figure out how to access the blower thru the dash. I just discover your channel today and I'm so grateful that you guys are around. Now I learned how to swap out my blowers but I'll do the sniff test first incase it's just a bad resistor coz I thought I did start smelling something burning before I gave out. I was hearing a knocking sound coming from the blower compartment for a couple of weeks before I went bad. Have any clue what was causing that faint knocking sound? It stopped now that it's not blowing air. Keep up the good work. Kudos to your whole team!
Great video, very well done.! I would say a good 4.5, a brief closeup on which way the blower went back in (I actually had to stop and think to make sure it couldn't go in backwards) would have made it a perfect five. Like the tools required part so I know if I have everything I need BEFORE getting half way into it and can have them all ready. Keep up the good work!
But what are the signs of a bad blower motor? Mine, just decided to stop working all together one day. It had issues at times, when turned up past 2 where it would cut in and out until finally staying on. When it quit, when I pulled it out I could get it to come on tapping on it with a ratchet, and it made a kind of knocking noise. Guess I will find out when I put the new one if that was the only issue, or if the resistor was bad too. I also heard when it would be set on high a kind of whistling noise, usually only when it was on defrost though.
Great Vid! How about one on how to replace the entire circuit board, the one that controls the A/C speed and the Cold or Hot temp. (Not sure what it's actually cald) I looked for a vid on that from you but didn't come up with one. I figured it out though.

I have air flow switching mechanism not working properly. It doesnt switch it all the way to windshield or feet but blows front vents just fine. Anybody knows how to fix it on Volvo truck? Link me solution or instructions how to fix this problem please. It barely blows on windshield and my feet are cold because air flow doesnt switch air there but blower works. Installed brand new climate control unit and no changes still the same.

will the blower work if the resister is bad. I have changed the control module on dash and blower motor itself with no results.
I've just installed a new blower motor. I used a test light and have power at the plug. But it's still not working.
+OTR Performance I have not tried to replace the resister yet. The blower does not work on any positions.

My blower blows sometimes and then only blows when diving down road. is it the blower motor or a fuse?
