Hey thanks man it was nice to know everything I needed for the job. First time doing the job and took under an hour. I taped the joints to all of the ducts the duct tape. I did the same back in the bunk it helps it blow harder
You'll have to replace the blower, it was easy. Don't do the diode thing. When you compare motors you'll see the old one dont turn and has a drag to the touch as compared to the new one. Had Volve dealer across the street from me, walking over and getting the part and installing it myself was under an hour. Just dont lose them little clips that hold the cover together
Same issue going on with me but when I hit the lower panel it does not turn on. Fuse is fine as well. How would you diagnose the blower motor resistor?
The blower fan is supposed to hesitate before starting. This truck has electronic climate control. Notice that it has actual temperature settings, not just red for hot and blue for cold. The computer figures out what the ambient temp is so it knows what speed the fan should be turning. This will occur when the fan is set to ‘Auto’ or set manually to the speed you prefer. The a/c on and off switch was probably sticking because of the poor decision to locate it near the cup holder and it has liquid splashed into it. Spray some contact cleaner around the button and work it a few times. The control unit behind the controls is very expensive and it can wreak havoc with other components if you change out blower motor or resistor with the key turned on. A new one has to be programmed in with a laptop. I found this out the hard way. $$$!
its just a Samsung tablet with blue link eld programing and the mount is I believe lockbox. They can be mounted anywhere but for this company I just mount them like that so there uniform
