i’ve also noted in a interview Gucci said “back in the 90s i was trappin listenin to Memphis Rap which influenced me” bc imo the true origins of trap accordin to Wop is from Memphis.. ppl like 3 6 Mafia (which made the beat for 745 Jeezy Diss underated asllll), Tommy Wright III etc
i love this video mayne.. Gucci is my favorite rapper im born in 2001 so i was encapsuled in the trap era to the point it was regular i didn’t feel a difference but as i get older and also watchin this video really made me realize how important Gucci is.. i already know about all the artists he helped but sum i either forgot or simply didn’t kno.. he is undeniably the most influential from the 2000s and he helped careers of many but the main one who i think is like a mini Gucci or a successor of Gucci is non other the Chief Keef
lil b has followed his model on another level
