I still remember the day Only Built 4 Cuban Linx dropped. I was a teenager growing up in East New York, Brooklyn, the belly of the beast. A friend had bought the CD and came into the park blasting it. We stopped the basketball game and listed to the album the rest of the day on repeat. And when Ironman dropped, I was there that day and still have Wu on a separate playlist for the car and gym. The 90s was such a good time in hip-hop, also tragic too, but a decade I'll never forget. Blessing to these brothers who are aging well and can look back on what they accomplished.

Hip hop is the prevailing art form of the masses over the last few decades and it doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. When historians look back on this period, emcees might be viewed the same way we look at novelists from two hundred years ago or playwrights from the 14th century.
If that’s the case, and it might be, these guys will be among the absolute best. In my opinion, they’re the absolute peak of the art form. It’s hard to imagine how they were even able to create something so different from the rest. Thirty years later and it still holds up the same way it did when I was a kid.

That Raekwon statement about Wu-Gambinos is something you would only understand if you lived near the mafia like I did in Canarsie, Brooklyn. That movement made you look at what gangsters was in a different way then most.

I remember hearing “One” on a Clue mixtape just before Supreme Clientele dropped… Been banging that song almost everyday since then, literally… But a couple weeks ago I was high af on a edible and realized that I didn’t actually understand wtf he was even talking bout… So to hear him say that he purposely didn’t make no sense saved my childhood from devastation😂😂😂

Ghost was trying to be disrespectful and ignorant about it, there are others ways to show you do not listen to Pac than to pretend to not know a 2pac song that features inspectah deck and Meth, Rae knew it's inappropriate to say that.

Enda the day..There's Clear Footage Of "Pac" say'n in a interview While having a bbq in Oakland, "If there is 1 hood I'd claim, 1 city, It's Oakland.. it'll B Oakland They showed me the game".e.t.c. Loud and Offical!

Great interview. Nore is so much better when he doesn’t get totally blitz. The ODB and Delfonics stories classic.🤣
I disagree with GFK on Ironman though. It was dark, but it was classic and one of a kind. Probably my most listened to CD in the mid 90’s. This was a well spent 4 hours with my brothers. Salute to the Wu and Drink Champs!!🏆
