I hv this tractor, and I don’t even think my salesman could explain the synchro shuttle , that what advantages it has over regular gear shift and what u could do with it , even manual is sparse in this area - comments ? This video seems to nail it , still need clutch but don’t hv to be at a complete stop , is that everyone’s understanding?
I’ve got the 3902 and looked at the 4701…..for me a 4701 was too big even tho I like the lift capacity better on the 47. Although I did increase hydraulic pressure on the loader for my 3902 😊
That’s where I’m stuck deciding. I found both L3901 & L4701 used(great condition)for similar price. Although I’d like the L4701 because of “more bang for my buck” but it is slightly larger size wise and I feel like things will be more costly like maintenance and implements. Do you regret getting the L3902?
@@ocho27hd I love the L series size for my needs! I had a 2501 but I do a lot of loader work and the manual trans got old constantly shifting, plus I ran into many situations where I need more hp grading my driveway….. The L series also fits in my 10 yd dump trailer like a glove …perfect when I need to do some work at a couple of my other properties! If I were to have bought the 2501 in hydrostat I probably would have kept it and just dealt with it being slightly under powered for my needs. I also like some of the refinements of the 3902 vs 3901… I also shimmed the pressure relief valve to get more lift capacity …originally around 1100# and now I get 1350# of lift….in the bucket. The 4701 will lift 1500-1600# I’ve been told …..
@@markcole6475 awesome…yeah I had a B3200 and do a lot of PTO stuff like mowing and drilling and lots of loader work as well. I know “there’s no such thing as too much tractor” but also don’t want to have pay for bigger equipment just to use all the tractor I can put of the 47. Maybe a coin toss 🤷♂️
@@ocho27hd the 3901 or 3902 will run a 6ft brush hog (maybe 7ft if the grass isn’t too long) post hole diggers , 6ft snow throwers and most other common attachments …..most any attachment 5-6 ft … Unless you have acres and acres to maintain where you need very large implements I would think the 39 hp would handle it.
I’ve been told the 4701 is all by itself ….a bit of an oddball if you will.. The only one between the Regular L series and MX series! As far as utility tractors go…

what can't a kubota L4701 do
Looks like the L4600, not much difference in specs but the L4600 doesn’t have all the government b.s. No computer, no regen.
Pretty much, I like my 3400 but I'd love to have that 8x8
