A Great wee video and so informative around your life together. I think you two are good together. Your enthusiasm is infectious and every journey is an adventure. Thanks for taking us along and answering all those questons ATB Big Dave Scotland.
I’ve never been keen on Q and A’s it’s usually just two people sitting in front of the camera for thirty to forty minutes, I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed this. Good call doing it while showing the beautiful scenery.
Really enjoyed this video Amy. Absolutely love the Peak District and you're lucky to be so close to it. Got to agree with Kyle about Switzerland. Took the motorhome to the village of Lauterbrunnen in the Swiss Alps last year. It is just incredible........ and the cycling was absolutely unreal. You guys would love it there. Must be a thing with bricklayers......... I'm always saying to my kids "I built that wall, I worked on that house, I tiled that roof" etc, etc. Been watching your videos from day one Amy, and you thoroughly deserve all the success you're achieving now.
Ahh thank you so much!! Wow that sounds like a great place to ride, defo one to add to the bucket list 🙌 Yes haha constantly get that from Kyle 😂😂 at least you’re proud of your work 🙌 Thanks so much 🤍
Thank you for this video & sharing more of yourselves with us. Enjoyed getting to know more about you both. The similarities between you guys and my wife & I are eerily close, even with how you guys met (we're 21 years in now). Hope the channel continues to grow & hope you guys are recovering well from that incredible performance at the weekend!
When I did Triathlons the Tribars made a 2mph average speed difference over a 100 mile ride. Take some getting used to but are great once you’ve mastered them.
Love the sound of your trip back from Italy. I will likely pass you in France as I will be solo riding a Vespa down to Valencia region and back in September. Everyone says I’m mad, but I think you two will understand if you have to challenge yourself. Good luck.
you totally right about that ! i had a very VERY busy job, was never home..... 6 years ago i drastically changed my lifestyle, stopped working, moved from the city centre (the Netherlands), to the woods in Sweden..... me and the wife had our income cut in half, but we are 150 % more happy ! so i went in pension when i was 42. ofcourse you cannot buy as much as before, but you learn to live very frugal with less income, we get a lot of food out of the woods (berries, mushrooms) and buy local meat at the farmers around us.... life is bliss !
I would recommend Switzerland and Austria before Girona to be honest (I've been to all those 3), by the way, the Aerobars for long distance is not really for the aerogains but because it gives you an extra position, in the Tour Divide for example everyone uses them.
Tri bars were originally all clip on, even on TT bikes until handlebars got more integrated with the rest of the bike. I think they were first used in RAAM (they were actually invented in the 1930s but never became popular then, same with recumbents) and it's because they're more comfortable but it was Greg LeMond using them to win the Tour de France that made them mainstream for time trialing. Meanwhile in long distance racing, they are set up a bit different. Most people stack them pretty high above the handlebars for RAAM and Transcontinental. They're usually set wider as well. You can probably find some pictures if you Google "RAAM bike set up" but not for Hoppo and Strasser who use pretty aggressive set ups like in the 24hr. You can't just put them on a bike and be faster. You use your core muscles a bit different so they take a bit of getting used to. Tri bars are great if you set them up right and get used to them. Not much different from riding on the tops of the bars as far as getting to the gears and brakes is concerned.
this video is so me, the stepping across the rock and going off route and the mumbling to yourself. My husband likes off roading and I'm literally sulk 😂😂😂😂😂 your dad is hilarious, although he needs to be careful 🙈🙈
That was such a lovely walk, well for the most part until Kyle took you through the jungle😂Your dad is crazy, in a good way😉Very cool informative video, all the best and I look forward to your next adventure😊I had a lovely 100 mile ride today with 6500ft of climbing, I will sleep well tonight😉
Question is, are you goin out out ? Or are you goin OUT OUT for a Walkabout ? Loved the scenic detour through the allotments guys ! 🥕🥒🍅🥔 Some of the best dogs walking the 🌎 are rescue "Heinz 57 varieties" full of unconditional ❤ Virtual hug to Chester
Not sure if I'm right or wrong but my definition of a lurcher is 'a cross between a greyhound and something hairy' !!!! Love you and your fur baby family 🤗
Nice to see you in our neck of the woods! It’s weird from the comment you made on your last video comments that this was the Hathersage Hilly Triathlon day and it’s highly likely given the walk you did and my start time that I would have cycled past you at that cafe on the bike section!
Funny no offence meant but I found this girl quite annoying when her videos came up on my feed , but after a few views, I am into cycling she has grown on me , and love watching her cycling escapades, she's actually a very nice person and great fun .
I giggle when I hear British people pronounce route. Being Australian of course. You might like riding in Australia. We got some nice climbs here as well.
I always wondered why road cyclists never opt for gel seats for extra comfort, or suspension seat posts and handlebars on gravel bikes. Is it something you have considered.
Off topic, donkeys. Just finished second multi day trip riding around the New Forest gravel. Pretty much everyday came across free roaming donkeys. Each time I rode past them thought of you and how much you like them. So perhaps a long weekend trip idea for the two of you with your gravel bikes.
For got what I was going to say with that last bit never ride with out a helmet to late when it happens. Oh yes Kyle a job does not define a person it is the person you are that defines you the person in side you so you are alright mate. Well I better say Amy is as well 😍no but you are Amy 👌👌
7:45 might be the worst impression I've heard 🤣🤣 Sadly it's late in the summer, else the Kattegattleden route from Denmark, through Sweden into Norway is a cool trip. Some people go all the way from France to North Cape. If you happen to have a lot of time off (probably not) 😆
Amy's Dad, unfiltered. Pure gold....
Lots more fun than I expected! Your Dad is a legend.
I'm so glad I'm the only one to say so but Amy's Dad is a scream! Love it when he makes an appearance. 😂
What a great video!! Had me grinning from ear to ear......your Dad is a star!
He is! Always making us laugh, that’s where I get my silly side from 😂😂

Ahh so glad we could brighten the day with a laugh! Dad is always making us laugh 😂😂🤦♀️

Ps. Does Kyle do the map reading on your bike rides?? It would explain why your 100k route ends up as 200k instead 😅😂
Haha 😂😂 I usually plan our rides so you can blame me for that!
