The genesis coupe beats both of them in handling i just think that but 370z is fast dont get me wrong I don't even like the mustang it looks ugly as fk. 2013 genesis coupe was the best model out there 2014 and up genesis is just the same fucking car. I am disappointed they got rid of them but if your just making the same car their is no point of getting a newer version of the genesis coupe. A tune makes a big difference to a car and I love the genesis coupe and I raced a 370 and beat it by a car length. I beat the 2014 370z nismo. I don't care if its from a hyundai they did a great job on the genesis coupe and if they put a v8 in the genesis coupe no competition to the 370z, mustang gt, camero ss. Genesis coupe would destroy them. People had problems with the genesis but I never had a problem with them, its mostly towards the 2.0t tho. so stop hating on the genesis coupe and now they discontinued genny will be rare.

Highly doudt you beat a 370Z even with a tune, N/A cars dont make much on a tune so i believe youre making things up to just to make yourself feel better. Only turbo cars do get the most gains out of a tune which is 50-100whp . Most what a v6 N/A can produce on a tune is 18whp which is not that much. I owned hyundais before and there no where planted as the Z i got, and the Z is about 100-200 lighter. For my preference ( everyone has their own, i dont bash other cars just because i dont prefer their looks) I prefer the Z's looks over the gen. 370z is also capable doing high 12's in the quarter mile which is almost on par with 6th gen mustang GT or older.

letsroll high 12s is also achieved on higher trims such as the Nismo, the base model is a low 13s car just like the Genesis, and you’re crazy if you think all you can get is less than 20whp from an NA motor, both the Z and the Genesis have 260-290whp (370z) to 270-300whp (GC 3.8) stock and both can make anywhere from 330whp for the Z to 340whp for the GC 3.8 with fbo and a custom tune without cams or heads, that’s about 40-50whp gain on an NA motor and even a bit more when both have e85, i’ve seen both do this NA without cams and heads or boost, how much do you even know about both cars ? you say you’ve owned a hyundai but that’s vague, i could own a ford doesn’t mean i’ve owned a 5.0 and know what it’s like

What an excellent review as far as clearly explaining Why you chose the Z! The things you mentioned are the very Same things I noticed myself when testing one and are what endeared me to it.. sadly, its that damn lack of visibility when driving,changing lanes,parking ect, ... That Really make this choice one I'd probably pass on.. not sure I could live with that on a daily basis...its a shame becuz the car is so freakin cool... if Ever a car needed blind spot monitoring technology added, its this one.
I own a 2014 Z base and 2017 WRX STi Limited, both 6 speed manual. For me, it comes down the weather and how I feel that day. The cars handle and drive differently. Bad weather, winter, back roads, mountains...WRX. Aaaaah, a nice sunny day and lots of highway driving...the Z.
After seeing the 370z at the Pittsburgh Auto Show for 4 years, I finally bought one, manual, base. Definitely no regrets. Those of you have recently purchased one...you are going to love this care once it is broken-in.
I drove a Nismo 370, settled on a 370 w the sport and touring package. The Nismo is NOT a daily driver. Hard as hell, harsh clutch, low clearance angles (good luck not scraping it up on speed bumps or random entrances to gas stations, etc.). Better off tweaking a regular 370, saving 5 grand $ and putting some mods on it (start w an exhaust,). Yes, 22-23 average mpg is normal. Nothing better than a normally aspirated V6.....turbo 4-bangers don't know what they are missing.
I just bought a Daytona Yellow 370z after writing off my 350z a few weeks back and loving the upgrade! Previous to the 350z I had a 300zx which was my pride and joy but was just getting a tad to expensive to maintain and keep roadworthy. I have to admit i do love the look of the 3.8 Genesis coupe but sadly these seem to be oddly unavailable in New Zealand.

Yeah I was considering the WRX but the insurance was sky high for a 4 door car, and from what I understand it attracts a lot of attention from law enforcement. I actually wanted the 370 more anyways so it kind of worked out for me haha.

I'm going to pick up my 370z this Saturday xD I had a 2006 350z before with only 36k miles. You should look into getting stillen gen3 cold air intakes, they're supposed to be the best on the market. Same with their true dual exhaust. I think each is supposed to add 15 whp which is crazy.
The Z is the best choice. To me, is the real sports car. the others are family sedans. the Genesis doesn't have a history like a true icon sports (Z) I have a 2016 370z nismo. and its the best handling out there, next to the Porsche.

I saw you were interested in becoming a pilot on one of your posts. You should go to your Air National Guard unit and apply for a pilot training slot. This is the best of all worlds, fly a fighter, work for the airlines or farm, whatever. You go to active duty air force training both basic and advanced then return to your state unit. Even if you don't choose to do this, take the test for officer and pilot training. These test are very predictive of success. Fast cars, fast bikes, fast planes are required.
I just got a 2019 370Z sport coupe with 6-speed manual transmission in magnetic black with a black fabric interior. It was the best choice I could have made for the $33K that I spent for it. The only other car I would have been happy in would have been a Porsche Cayman S, but I would have had to get a used car with about 50K miles on it.
I had found a great 2012 hyundai genesis coupe 3.8 grandtouring with 18k miles for less than 17k, had custom grill and exhaust with diffuser. It looked great and planned on buying it, sadly it sold so now I'm looking at a 2013 370z touring, gun metal grey, race exhaust, air intakes, and black rims, literally my dream car. sadly it's about 5k more but in my mind worth it when you're getting everything you want. (btw the cars a pretty great deal it's about the same price as cars with same mileage, but has about 3k in mods).
Only Z i'd touch is the Nismo. It's nismo or nothing. The 3.8 Genesis was the best choice but you needed to get the Track version with everything loaded, the r-spec is too bland

i have driven a porsche. my friend owns one. but i am talking about 370z NISMO have you driven a 2016 NISMO the handling is way, more different than a regular 370z. the NISMO is very stiff. it's actually close to the porsche
i was in a similar situation last yeat in a 06' sti the average dealership will suck you dry so i sold it on craigslist for reasonable price, got a 03' s2k for half the price spend the rest on a 6262 turbo kit and a great tune @15lbs making 486whp now i smash on my dads 15' 370z nismo and my boss 14' coyote 5.0
I owned a 2005 Redline 350z. It was fun while I lasted but i wouldnt buy one again. Bolt ons are expensive and dont gain much power without a tune. then when they switched to dual intakes with the vq35hr engine a simple cold air intake is $425
frs are for girls. and don't compare to a Z they don't have the history the Z has. it has not earn it. until then don't compare a legend to a rookie. as far a modifying you can make any faster if you have the money. i can make a pinto beat a ferrari if i have all the money in the world. but don't be ignorant to compare a race proven car that has history against a car with no history to prove itself yet.

The goal with that video was so I didn't have buyers remorse. I genuinely liked each car, and I wanted to make sure, what ever car I bought, I liked it more than the others. When I bought my tC years ago, every time I saw an RX-8, I always thought 'what could have been'. So I wanted to compare 4 cars I really like back to back, and also see what viewers liked the most. It worked out well that the vast majority of ppl liked the Z, and I truly determined that really was the car I wanted with no regrets.
well i also had a 350z and it was a pain. but when i buy my 370z NISMO it was day and night. a different world and was way faster. way more powerful. no comparison
if you have read. i own the nismo. the handling is not better than the nismo. the frs and miata are nit in the same class. my nismo was 50k while the frs and miata are about 20k so don't even compare them. besides the frs and miata are girl cars. they look wimpy. they really look like a low budget 20k cars. you get what you pay for

370z will most likely be the highest. Due to not having a backseat. The Genesis would be next with the high crash rate and highest hp number. Frs is most likely the cheapest because of the lowest hp number.
Not sure about the Genesis but I got quotes on the WRX, BRZ and 370 from my insurance, for 6 month policy, I'm 35 and I'm on the insurance company's good driver list. Male. WRX: $335 BRZ: $313 370: $280 So the insurance was cheapest for the 370 for me, way my insurance company explained it, many factors go into what decides your rate, obviously age and driving record is going to play a big part in it, but also not specifically the car itself but the group of drivers that tend to drive said car. For example the WRX is the highest ticketed car on the road in the US according to a study done by insurance company's, it is ticketed 33% more than the next model on the list. The demographic that likes the WRX tends to be the young boy racer type with not too much driving experience, and they like to drive FAST, this results in a large number of collisions in the WRX, this coupled with the fact that the WRX is turbocharged makes the car astronomical to insure unless the stars align in your favor. Interestingly enough the BRZ/FRS/86 was 3rd on the list. The 370 on the other hand is a bit more expensive, more powerful, and driven mostly by middle aged to older people with more experience driving, who else do you think could drop over 30k on a two door two seat rear wheel drive sports car, or pay over 600 a month car note, so in the end it wasn't all that surprising to me that the 370 ended up being the cheapest to insure, even though it is the most powerful car on the list.

Did you really say that you didn't see the Evo or WRX as sports car but instead as economy sedans? That is, in my opinion, a pretty incorrect statement. The WRX and Evo are some of the best Japanese performance cars. The AWD, torque, weight, horsepower combination of these vehicles makes them superb vehicles. I'd say they were probably the two best options you were looking at. Just my opinion.
I said at the basics they are economy sedans. A Lancer and Impreza are basic little cars. While the Gen and Z start out as true sports car platforms. I'm not hating on them, just pointing out what they technically started out as.

It was a great car. You learn get used to the visibility. And with your mirrors poked out a tad, I never had issues. Fun car!

I saw you were interested in becoming a pilot on one of your posts. You should go to your Air National Guard unit and apply for a pilot training slot. This is the best of all worlds, fly a fighter, work for the airlines or farm, whatever. You go to active duty air force training both basic and advanced then return to your state unit. Even if you don't choose to do this, take the test for officer and pilot training. These test are very predictive of success. Fast cars, fast bikes, fast planes are required.
I just got a 2019 370Z sport coupe with 6-speed manual transmission in magnetic black with a black fabric interior. It was the best choice I could have made for the $33K that I spent for it. The only other car I would have been happy in would have been a Porsche Cayman S, but I would have had to get a used car with about 50K miles on it.

I had found a great 2012 hyundai genesis coupe 3.8 grandtouring with 18k miles for less than 17k, had custom grill and exhaust with diffuser. It looked great and planned on buying it, sadly it sold so now I'm looking at a 2013 370z touring, gun metal grey, race exhaust, air intakes, and black rims, literally my dream car. sadly it's about 5k more but in my mind worth it when you're getting everything you want. (btw the cars a pretty great deal it's about the same price as cars with same mileage, but has about 3k in mods).
Only Z i'd touch is the Nismo. It's nismo or nothing. The 3.8 Genesis was the best choice but you needed to get the Track version with everything loaded, the r-spec is too bland
G37 is a great option for the practicality but all the sharpness as the 370z

I dailyd mine for a month before the auto trans valvetrain shit it self. I was filling up every other day/every day depending on how much I drove. Had it on 29-30psi + e85 + open dump

i have driven a porsche. my friend owns one. but i am talking about 370z NISMO have you driven a 2016 NISMO the handling is way, more different than a regular 370z. the NISMO is very stiff. it's actually close to the porsche

I owned a 2005 Redline 350z. It was fun while I lasted but i wouldnt buy one again. Bolt ons are expensive and dont gain much power without a tune. then when they switched to dual intakes with the vq35hr engine a simple cold air intake is $425

Yeh mine is the sport. I wanted that package because it gave me the big brake kit, rear spoiler, upgraded wheels and a limited slip

The goal with that video was so I didn't have buyers remorse. I genuinely liked each car, and I wanted to make sure, what ever car I bought, I liked it more than the others. When I bought my tC years ago, every time I saw an RX-8, I always thought 'what could have been'. So I wanted to compare 4 cars I really like back to back, and also see what viewers liked the most. It worked out well that the vast majority of ppl liked the Z, and I truly determined that really was the car I wanted with no regrets.
well i also had a 350z and it was a pain. but when i buy my 370z NISMO it was day and night. a different world and was way faster. way more powerful. no comparison
if you have read. i own the nismo. the handling is not better than the nismo. the frs and miata are nit in the same class. my nismo was 50k while the frs and miata are about 20k so don't even compare them. besides the frs and miata are girl cars. they look wimpy. they really look like a low budget 20k cars. you get what you pay for

It really depends on the driver. Just fill out an online quote with Gieco for each car.
370z will most likely be the highest. Due to not having a backseat. The Genesis would be next with the high crash rate and highest hp number. Frs is most likely the cheapest because of the lowest hp number.

Not sure about the Genesis but I got quotes on the WRX, BRZ and 370 from my insurance, for 6 month policy, I'm 35 and I'm on the insurance company's good driver list. Male.
WRX: $335
BRZ: $313
370: $280
So the insurance was cheapest for the 370 for me, way my insurance company explained it, many factors go into what decides your rate, obviously age and driving record is going to play a big part in it, but also not specifically the car itself but the group of drivers that tend to drive said car. For example the WRX is the highest ticketed car on the road in the US according to a study done by insurance company's, it is ticketed 33% more than the next model on the list. The demographic that likes the WRX tends to be the young boy racer type with not too much driving experience, and they like to drive FAST, this results in a large number of collisions in the WRX, this coupled with the fact that the WRX is turbocharged makes the car astronomical to insure unless the stars align in your favor. Interestingly enough the BRZ/FRS/86 was 3rd on the list.
The 370 on the other hand is a bit more expensive, more powerful, and driven mostly by middle aged to older people with more experience driving, who else do you think could drop over 30k on a two door two seat rear wheel drive sports car, or pay over 600 a month car note, so in the end it wasn't all that surprising to me that the 370 ended up being the cheapest to insure, even though it is the most powerful car on the list.

Did you really say that you didn't see the Evo or WRX as sports car but instead as economy sedans? That is, in my opinion, a pretty incorrect statement. The WRX and Evo are some of the best Japanese performance cars. The AWD, torque, weight, horsepower combination of these vehicles makes them superb vehicles. I'd say they were probably the two best options you were looking at. Just my opinion.
I said at the basics they are economy sedans. A Lancer and Impreza are basic little cars. While the Gen and Z start out as true sports car platforms. I'm not hating on them, just pointing out what they technically started out as.
