Oh dear Jimmy...its Bakewell Pudding all day, so many great rides, like Calver to Froggatt climb, round , upper Derwent Valley is a good easy gravel loop, majority traffic free.
Shropshire? sigh. Gun Hill, in the *Staffordshire* Moorlands has been the King of the Mountains challenge in the Tour of Britain and you still regularly see cycling clubs have at it of a weekend. Also, Tor means hill.
I’m really loving the new episodes so much I’d love to see a week’s worth of films (3 or 4) about each location. They do seem a bit rushed to get everything in. Longer or more films would allow them to ‘breathe’ a bit and you can include more of the interaction with other riders and the banter between the two of you.
The reservoirs north of Hathersage are more lovely gravelly rides and you can see where they tested the bouncing bombs used in WWII. You also didn't mention the famous Monsal Viaduct which you ride over on the trail of the same name, which is also beautiful. Then you've got some climbs like Cat and Fiddle out of Macclesfield into the Peaks, and Snake Pass (although best at times when they occasionally close it as it can be really busy).
I would add Holme Moss Summit as an amazing climb with views towards Sheffield at the top. There is also a B2 Bomber Crash Site which is hard to get to via bike, more of a walking thing.
Stand up paddle boarding has a fundamental part in the title.... Stand up jimmy!!! and grip the T. Enjoying the "wish you where here" vibe of this series.
I love living in the Peak District. We're not short on punchy climbs here. My rides tend to average about 250m climbing per 10km. It's such a great place for outdoor sports.
Great stuff team Cade. Catching up a bit watching the last two podcasts (enjoyable) then the four best things videos. Understand the complexities but I wish they were longer! Really cool and yes I'd love to ride in the UK one day. Top stuff!
I'm so glad you included Thorncliffe bank. I grew up near it and featured in pretty much every ride I did growing up. If you keep going along the ridge you can drop round the roaches, to Tittesworth and into the back of Leek. Top speed descending thorncliffe was 55mph - not recommended!
Love this format. I'm attempting Simon Warren’s top 100 climbs and like this series, discovering the UK has incredibly diverse and fun places to ride. The “Matlock top 10 route” is a great route for anyone wanting a great climbing route in the Peaks.
Staffordshire Moorlands part of the Peak District always gets overshadowed by the Derbyshire and Yorkshire section where cycling is concerned so it's great to see Thorncliffe included, that whole area is stunning, Just last weekend I road across the Peak District through Black Brook Nature Reserve (just up the road from Thorncliffe) up to "Flash" the highest village in Britain
Another great video gents. Another great ride in the Peak district pulling an old railway line and some other special stuff is following Sustrans Route 62 from Penstone to Buxton (and back). Starts with a fairly flat gravel traffic free path up to a road called Windle Edge which takes you up to the Sheffield to Manchester road. From there you cross over the road and ride on the opposite of the reservoirs than the cars (so traffic free again). It's fabby see the world from the opposite side from where you drive. This path descends into Glossop. A lovey village with loads of coffess shops etc. Can return to the start from there, but for a full days riding you have to do a bit of riding on the road until just the other side of Hadfield and then on to Whaley Bridge. Some of this will make a good cyclist puff (a tubby old one me wheeze!). Then it is more trails until you get to the spa town of Buxton. Either stay over and go to a nice resturant or even the Opera House (designed by Frank Matcham - first building in UK to have door with fire panic bar) or head back to the start. This is full days ride there are back but you get to see a real mix of Peak District scenery. Next places to look at (suggest) could be around East Grinstead (surrey/sussex border). There is a gravel trail ride to Eastbourne (Forest Row and Cuckoo trails) and also one to Shoreham by Sea (Worth Way and South Downs Way). For those who want to there is also North Downs which goes right across the South Coast (picking up Ditchling Beacon amongst other 'high spots') Keep up the good work gents :)
Great video guys. I live here, love it on the bike and would really recommend anyone new to the area to take in a loop across Beeley Moor, through Chatsworth (as it's pretty spectacular to pass on a bike) and into and around Hathersage/Bamford and climb past Stanage Edge (the descents are great). Komoot has LOADS of Peak District routes you can adapt from your start/end point. Enjoy!
The ride around Upper Derwent and Ladybower Reservoirs on a gravel bike is well worth a look too. Peaks, outside of the Scottish borders, is one of my favourite easily accessible places in the UK to ride.
There is fantastic rock climbing in the peak district, many of the gritstone edges have some fantastic old classics mapped out by some real legends of the sport. I speak as a former climbing instructor and mountaineer. Look after your hands though, hand jamming in some of those cracks will rip your hands to pieces.
All of you back together in one vid !!!! We need more, how come Jimmi looks shorter doing stand up paddle boarding than he does standing up lol!!!! great informative vids look forward to trying some of your recommendations
Just started getting into cycling, had been planning a trip up to edale and castleton but broke my arm coming off my bike. But it is just a minor setback and i will get there in a month or two.
Liking these new videos. Any chance of a North-east Wales/Shropshire one. I live there and don't know the best gravel trails. Nice to see George, Jess and Chris.
No doubt I’m not the first to say this, but Winnets Pass is pretty much never quiet, and your lungs will be full of clutch dust from cars trying to overtake by the time you get to the top! It’s a must-do climb once, but don’t expect it to be quiet or pleasant!
These guys are great, from their podcast I knew I’d like this series. Jimmy is 100% a non-BS cyclist, if you want an honest and informed take on just about anything cycling he may be the best!
I think a shout out for the gravel group jess runs "peak gravel gang" great little community that! Also some incredible gravel riding out towards that way over by dronfield and sheffield. Im fortunate enough to live on the edge of the peaks so have the choice of riding out towards sherwood forest as well!
Love this new format. You could improve it by putting links of what you're talking about in your description, such as the rail trails linked together you're talking about.
Great vid and cool to see the back garden look so lovley. Loads of epic climbs too many to mention in a short vid. Never heard of the paddle boarding place. I need to check that out. Cheers.
Do you have a link to Chris's trail rides? Been looking for a reason to do the Monsal trail, but never found a route long enough to warrant the trip from my usual haunt of Damflask.
Holme Moss and Snakes Pass I think were two essential climbs that were missed. Only problem with them is they tend to be busier roads, but it doesn’t take anything away from the effort required and the views you get.
Great vids! I wish you would have done these a few weeks ago as I just rode the north york moors 3 days ago(it was spectacular) on a trip from the US! Also disregard the Instagram message😂 I rented a biike from an absolute legend at the rusty bike cafe in Swainby & did the hawnby loop, got caught in a thunderstorm & John the shop owner came & picked me up 2 hours after closing!
Nice to see George & Jess again.. been ages
Seeing the Bun, the Beard, and the Walrus all in the same video again automatically means this episode is A-1 !!
I’m sure there’s a good T-Shirt opportunity there…
Exactly what I was about to say... all the players!
VERY LOVELY TO SEE YOU BOTH!!!
Hi Chris, have you got a link to the trails route Francis mentioned in the video - a few of us are after it for a look- thanks.
The way that the sunshine catches @chris' tache - sensational.
🫶
Ha, loads of familiar faces! Extra joy!
Shoutout to Leek! 🎉

Bring back George, Jess and Chris! Must be worth a regular guest slot?
So nice to to see Chris again.
My local roads❤I live near Matlock . Bank road, ribber hill - proper hard climbs
Same here. Matlock all the way down to Belper is full of lung busters.
If I'm ever in a situation where I have to trust either Bun or Beard, I'm afraid I'm going with Bun.
Great to see Chris again.
Very cool to hear George & Jess' glamping site is running well. It looks great - _vision achieved_ - I wonder if he still has his mini farm
It’s like a Jam Cycling reunion. We just need the “we’re in a lift song”
This is a great format - keep em coming!
Great to see George, Jess and Chris again. Just like the old days
I literally was just out cycling the peaks this afternoon, tiring but totally worth the effort
Liking these a lot - would really appreciate a tangential video w Justin where you look at accessible cycling destinations and routes.
I love living in the Peak District. We're not short on punchy climbs here. My rides tend to average about 250m climbing per 10km. It's such a great place for outdoor sports.

Love these trips around U.K. hotspots. As others have said, great to see Chris, George and Jess 🙌
Great film very informative, nice to see Chris George and Jess!

Loving the new format, you and Jimmy are the new Ant and Dec :)
Agreed^!!!
Good to see the Jam Crew back together.
Thank you for the video Francis and Jimmy. It was really nice to see Chris, George and Jess.

Love the new format chaps. Best cycling channel on the Tube!
Im loving this new format, keep it coming. Glaisdale in North Yorkshire is definitely worth a look. Crazy punchy 30% climbs and very picturesque
Thanks for the details. A fellow YT creator can't stop talking about The Peaks and that 20% climb. Great coverage of the good and bad parts.
There are a lot of proper 20% climbs around here. Go off road and they get even steeper as well as rougher.
It was the peaks you were on the Roaches, one of my favourite spots
outstanding content! Helping plan my 2024 holiday . kind o af reversal of your intent, I'll be coming over again from the states
Love the different areas you are showcasing, I am more inspired to visit England to ride. Thanks so much
Can't believe you didn't include Bamford Clough! 38% road climb - used to be the world's steepest road!!
Love the new format, great addition. Please continue it.😊
Great job boys! Makes this Yank want to visit. The geology bit was much appreciated!
Hi guys, I love these videos.
Is there a link to Chris’ route linking the Trainline trails?
🤞
Old school team !! Back together again !!
The ride around Upper Derwent and Ladybower Reservoirs on a gravel bike is well worth a look too.
Peaks, outside of the Scottish borders, is one of my favourite easily accessible places in the UK to ride.
Great to see Chris back in the front of your camera! Miss seeing you guys together!

I speak as a former climbing instructor and mountaineer. Look after your hands though, hand jamming in some of those cracks will rip your hands to pieces.
Yep. The Roaches, just up the road from Leek, is probably my favourite climbing spot in the whole park.
Buns, Beards and Walruses... the Peak District has it all.
Liking these new videos. Any chance of a North-east Wales/Shropshire one. I live there and don't know the best gravel trails.
Nice to see George, Jess and Chris.
Great to see the Band back together..

Love it. Plus we got a random Chris Hall.
Great to see George & Jess again!
Good to see the bun and beard again. It’s been a while. Miss their channel.
Skip the Bakewell Pudding (like eating raw eggs in pastry!) and have a cheese and bacon oatcake in Leek instead!
I think a shout out for the gravel group jess runs "peak gravel gang" great little community that! Also some incredible gravel riding out towards that way over by dronfield and sheffield. Im fortunate enough to live on the edge of the peaks so have the choice of riding out towards sherwood forest as well!
Fun format - helps me plan a future trip to the area.
Danny on the paddle board - yeaaaaaa.... 😅
I like the format of these videos. Keep up the fabulous content lads! Come on England!
Love this!! Peak District is my favourite place to ride 🙌
Love this new format. You could improve it by putting links of what you're talking about in your description, such as the rail trails linked together you're talking about.
Great one! Really want to go bike packin in England!
Enjoying the new 6 of the best vids. Peak District trail rides are great.
Great vid and cool to see the back garden look so lovley. Loads of epic climbs too many to mention in a short vid. Never heard of the paddle boarding place. I need to check that out. Cheers.
Thanks Francis , Jimmi , et al.....looks really cool. Someday ..
I’ve walked around the area. I will now return in a few weeks to cycle!!
Wiarboarclough in the peaks feels like it's not even in this country it's a mix of gravel covered tarmac steep climbs and Rolling hills with sheep 🐑
Around Wildboarclough is where Land Rover did a lot of their testing, due to the steep winding roads
@@lassievision i did not know that ... makes perfect sense though tbh thats pretty interesting .
What about the Maniforld way old railway line, get to see Thores cave.
This was great, best one of the series so far
Do you have a link to Chris's trail rides? Been looking for a reason to do the Monsal trail, but never found a route long enough to warrant the trip from my usual haunt of Damflask.
Holme Moss and Snakes Pass I think were two essential climbs that were missed. Only problem with them is they tend to be busier roads, but it doesn’t take anything away from the effort required and the views you get.
Yep agree…
snakes pass is an absolute death trap 70mph cars brushing past, much prefer holmes moss.
After watching that new series, it feels like I have to go from Europe to England
You guys have fantastic camera chemistry
Great to see the legendary George
I live in Canada so very far away from all these places but I love to see the landscapes in the uk 🤣
I love the format^
I agree with others. You guys certainly have chemistry. Refreshing to see. 👏
Nice made my 83 year old mum very happy guys she used to walk all over peaks her fav . I need ebike no hub motor creo sl or fazu ?
Kudos to George for the geology lesson. Bring it on!
"Local Business Owner"--while accurate--would not have been my first thought when describing George!
pym chair too love the peaks
great. really like this sort of content. will plan a bike trip around there soon.
Monsal Trail is gorgeous
I love this new format
Love this! Please keep them coming!
Loving these videos, looking forward to a Wales one? Surely?
I'd avoid Winners. Too narrow. There is a back road out of Castleton takes you up to the main road. Tissington trail is in the Peak District.
Loved the new format - more please!
I love this channel, the Scott bikes you have are amazing. I don’t even have a bike haha
Love this. Getting good ideas for places to ride in the UK 👍
Really enjoying these videos and definitely think you should do more. I’m from wales and would appreciate these informative videos of wales. 👍🏻
Loving this format. More please.
That’s was fantastic cheers guys.
Really enjoy these videos. Keep them coming
Another excellent video guys
The subtile for Chris should have said 'Chris Hall moustache owner'
Chris is posting some cool stuff, but what’s happened to Bun & Beard?
