The story of the MV is that SHINee are kind of imprisoned in their idol lives, while in Thailand on a work event, a bunch of fans kidnapp them to give them a taste of freedom. That's why you see them running from the cops and avoiding the cameras. The song was written by Jonghyun and is describing experiencing love through synastagia. Apparently, it was written so well that universities in Korea use the lyrics to teach about the condition.
Ha, yes! I was just about to comment with this. 😻 Yes, this whole comeback was pretty groundbreaking at the time, with the introduction of deep house to kpop, exactly. In addition, the styling (at least in part done by Key) was at the time pretty revolutionary. From what I understand, it was really fairly groundbreaking (and not loved by all) to have boy groups wearing casual street wear like this, especially in their stages on music shows and stuff. Of course it’s now quite common. The video was not really the norm in kpop at the time, either.
Let me explain the phone thing. SHINee makes friendly fun of fans who kidnap them because they relax away from the glamorous world that tires them out. They don't like it when fans film them. They want to say that we have a connection beyond the virtual world and we can communicate in a friendly way. Let's have fun together face to face with us who are stripped of the glamor. In this mv, they conveyed their sincere expectations to their fans.
This was really out there for the time and for them, surprised a lot of people. Pause game on point as usual. And of course you would notice Minho and his arms-he was a Marine too.
Love them so much! But I can't wait for Roscoe to react to Onew's Circle. It's sooo good, I was mesmerized when I saw it for the first time and I keep replaying it over and over again.
Thank you for sharing your reaction to SHINee's View, one of my favorites. Riscoe, you are so funny! It's great that you warn people about hitchhiking now (not safe), but it was a form of transportation for me in the 1970s in California when the world was a happier, safer place.
I'm not sure if anyone told the story of this song in the comments yet, but Jonghyun wrote the lyrics for this song and SHINee was involved in the creative process. It was a pretty big deal, as the boys knew if it didn't succeed the company would never give them that freedom again. It was, overall, a pivotal moment for kpop sound and fashion. SHINee really pioneered more casual street fashion for performances. Minho once mentioned he was really embarrassed to be on stage at a music show wearing a sleeveless shirt, while all the other idols were wearing flashy bling. I think this was, and probably still is, one of the top cover dance songs among students and aspiring idols. They're legendary and timeless and I'm a shawol for life 💎
What I've understood about this is that this is more a discussion about the balance between being a good fan and taking things too far. The girls see that Shinee is trapped in their idol life and decides to kidnap them for a day of fun. In the process, they chloroform Taemin and almost drown him in the pool, end up injuring Key with the cut over his eye, get Minho into a bar fight and tries to seduce him in the bathroom, the one fan tries to kiss Onew because he's her bias and I don't remember how Jonghyun is injured. The point is while it's supposed to be fun, what they are doing is putting them into greater danger. The Japanese version of the MV has more of the story if you want to look it up. I also feel like there is a bit of Stockholm Syndrome too because the boys don't want to go back. They obviously are having fun, any time they are recognized as idols (being on TV, the guy with the phone, the cops) they run or avoid the situation. They also aren't entirely aware of the damage being done either, which I find interesting as well. That could be a commentary in idol life either that the freedom is worth the risk or that the life has desensitized them to the pain and danger that are in.
i love your reaction! please react to Circle by ONEW. it grabs the top spot on Billboard’s ’The 25 Best K-Pop Albums of 2023’! Billboard praised, ”ONEW directly participated in the creation of his album 'Circle’, showcasing mature reflection.'"
This was kind of experimental in kpop coz before this deep house genre music was not a thing in kpop..view started that trend and Jonghyun wrote down the lyrics
ROCOES Gracias por tus relaciones a SHINee VER es ícono marcó un antes y después en el kpop ..pliss reacciona a 1000 YEARS AMIGO MV..Y a sus presentaciones en vivo SPOILER PICASSO. RING DING DONG LUCIFER REMIX ROCK

The song was actually pretty experimental at the time, from what I've heard. View introduced deep house to k-pop, which was a new sound back in 2015.

Well idols sometimes fall in love really with a girl who is a fan is not like can't happend but not with who kidnap you 😅
@@jasminpizarro6702 haha there is nothing about love in mv, they are so naive that they even turn down girls' requests 😅
One of my favorite Shinee songs.
This was really out there for the time and for them, surprised a lot of people. Pause game on point as usual.

Our original boys! Jonghyun we are going to miss you forever
When the young KPOP kids know this song, I give them props - this song is ICONIC! Jonghyun, we love you forever!
Jonghyun wrote the lyrics ❤
One of my favourite SHINee songs ❤ View is a statement and it's timeless
Ni un sólo grupo ha retratado la necesidad de libertad, crecer y experimentar de los jóvenes. Me encanta❤

What an interesting comment! Now I need to watch the video again to find that parts...plus the japanese version 😊🤝
Please and Please react to SHINee
"Excuse Me Miss" 🔥R&B vibes
I think at the time, they were the first idol group to try this genre in Kpop.
SHINee's MV is good, but the practice dance is better. You can really see SHINee's dance moves much more in the practice.
More shinee..... Moooooooooooooore
