I have to remark on the trooper kicking his boot at those 2 women. I don’t think it was necessary the first time because she didn’t even touch the trooper. At least, not that my eyes saw. And moving the horse away from the women was a bit much, too me. I felt badly. Am I wrong?

The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery is the Saluting Battery to His Majesty’s Household. It fires Gun Salutes to mark the grand occasions of State, including The King’s Birthday Parade, Royal Birthdays and Births. Commanded by Major John E Baileff RHA, the unit consists of 165 officers and soldiers, being the most diverse regiment in The British Army, with a demographic of 52% female and at last count boasting 9 different nationalities and 14 faiths and Christian denominations represented. It was a gun carriage of the Royal Horse Artillery that bore the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II, her father King George VI and Princess Diana from Buckingham Palace to Westminster. As the monarch’s Mounted Ceremonial Battery, the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery also fires Royal Salutes for grand occasions of State. The King’s Troop is now the only remaining mounted unit of the Royal Horse Artillery. The Troop proudly stands at its barracks in Woolwich, Southeast London, comprised of 170 personnel and 120 magnificent horses.

So sad to see the Blues leave😢😢 but they did it in style, through the front gates👍👍 I'm happy, though, that they are going to stay away but just for two weeks. Almost had a heart attack when i saw the Artillery bay follow after the Cavalry black in the box, because of the difference in size🙂. I didn't realize how used i had become to the Cavalry horses in the 8-9 months i had been following Horse Guards. At least visually. And i did see the Artillery horses at least 3 or 4 times during the rehearsals as well as Major General's review and Colonel's review and King Charles's review of the troops, but they were among other Artillery bays, while the Cavalry ones were among themselves. So i had the impression they were a lot taller/bigger but it was not based on comparison to the Cavalry horses. I hope the Artillery horses and guards will have two nice weeks at Horse Guards, without too much hoopla and nasty tourists. And the Blues&Life Guards get some much needed rest!(as time allows it)
