    The book was awesome... don't understand why it has just a 5,9 on imdb.... but I'll definitely watch it :)

    Manhattan and Long Island is NOT upstate NY.

      She corrected him when she said, "Long Island, Oyster Bay, actually..."

      True. I mentioned this more for those not from NY. Seeing as anywhere I've been saying, "I'm from NY." The next question is always, "Your from the City? How fun is that." or some derivation there of. : /

    Her lips looked so dry in that clip at the beginning I wanted to reach out and put some lip balm on them

      I personally found her to look terribly dehydrated in the entire film. Even before the hijacking in the film. I also thought she totally miscast.

    I love Julianne Moore, she's beautiful, but she also has a radiant personality, on and off screen. However, that short little clip of that area convinced me I won't go and see the film. I remember Jill Clayburgh doing a film La Luna some 30 years ago. A stunning film as such, but the lip-synching on those songs was just too much to bear. Sorry, Julianne.

    Disculparme. Con todos mis respetos a vuestro idioma. Pero no quita, Que teneis una forma de hablar muy particular. Os percibo perfectamente y soy consciente Que. Al hablar vosotros, lo haceis de tal manera. Como si estuvieras arrastrando una zapatilla en vuestra boca, y os fuera realmente imposible, no os la podáis sacar. Por mucho que lo intentéis. Lo dicho Con todos mis respetos. Pero no deja que para mí, vuestra forma de hablar me suena de esta manera.

    Renee Fleming? Not exactly the best choice for Bel Canto...

    • @zuri2002
      @zuri2002 6 років тому +6

      LOL I get what you mean, but it was Renee Fleming the author was listening to when she wrote the book. Besides, in the novel, the opera singer's most-requested aria was Song to the Moon from Rusalka, so not bel canto, either.

      Oh...got it then. Still,sounds like an interesting movie. Thanks!

      He'd have been better off listening to Amelita Galli-Curci

    • @zuri2002
      @zuri2002 6 років тому

      Holy retro reference, Batman! You bypassed Callas and Rosa Ponselle, went straight to Galli-Curci! LOL you could've gone further to Adelina Patti, though
