Yes and I'm glad that Luke was trying to help him hit certain notes, and how he played the piano for him and was singing along in certain parts to let the guy know what notes and pitches to hit. Great job Luke that was very thoughtful of you. I agree with more training and hard work he will just get better and i believe he has the potential to, that's why they sent him to Hollywood.

Just wanted to hear the man sing without all the spectacle. Treating all people well should be the norm not an exception segment of the show.
Best comment in this section. People are so blinded by these obvious attempts at pulling on your heart strings. They don't give a single fuck about this guy, it's just for ratings. The producers probably went, wow look at how dumb this guy looks, let's make a whole bullshit segment about him.
Gaylon exactly right. It would be a miracle if some or most here would just grow up and focus on the topic they came here for, the eye singing abilities. The judges always asks people what they do and God forbid they say something remotely different and they just take it and run with it. They seriously need to grow up for real. They're hear to be judged by they're singing abilities, not by they're jobs.

I let go of American idol a long time ago, but this was the most wholesome audition I’ve ever seen. And the most kindness from the judges. When he said “they made me feel like one of them” that reached my soul
