  • A full unboxing and setup video for The KeyCase from The Ridge. My KeyCase is stylized as Forged Ember, and I really love it! I recommend putting your keys in smallest to largest, as this helps the small keys flip out. Also, the tension is quite strong, so take your time making sure you have a firm grip on the keys.
I have had my KeyCase for a few days now, and I enjoy it! My keys are so silent now, and the whole thing plus my car key fit comfortably in my pocket. I especially like the pocket clip so I can attach the keys to my pocket if I want quicker access to them.
The tension works really well with keeping my keys together without making the flip out stiff at all. The forged ember look is especially awesome! I love the way the red shimmers and the fractal nature of the forging.
The KeyCase by itself has a nice heft to it and feels very sturdy. I look forward to using this KeyCase for many years to come, and accenting it with other Ridge products.

Yes mate, you’re absolutely right there. I got the fire ember last week and all I can say is absolutely fantastic just what I wanted does exactly what it says on the tin however as you know it wasn’t cheap

Thanks for the video. It appears the website lied about having a tutorial video ( I just checked). I understand how the keys go into the case with the screw, but what was the point of the two plastic key rings included in the fancy case?
There is no mention of the rings in the instructions, so what are they for?

Glad this video could be of use! I think it's just a personal preference if you want a larger key ring or a smaller one for like your car keys. Mostly the Case is for organizing your smaller keys but people might have other items attached like maybe a gym fob or whatever.

Can I put a car key in this? It does *NOT* have a key fob.

If it isn't too thick or too long, then probably! If the key is no longer that 65mm, no wider than 20mm, and no thicker than 5mm and you'll be fine!

Hey! Another thing to ask. Do you still use the wallet and key case?

I never had the wallet, but yes I'm still using my keycase! I quite like it.

What's that metallic stick you attach at 1:48?

Personal item, it's a miniature "iron rod", not part of the KeyCase pack.

This is cool and all.but why after buying a keybar wouldni ever want to hang another key ring and spare keys ontop of it? I want an organized group of keys not something you jiggle in front of a toddler

I ended up taking the metal rod and ring off because it was indeed too much. But my car key can't fit into the bar, so I have to have that hanging from the end. To be honest, I only have three keys so using a bar didn't exactly save me space but it does lessen the volume because no more jangly keys! But the bar now hit the car when going over bumps. It's a give and take.

Wish it was a little shorter.. I mean how long can keys be

It does offer an extra 3/4" of room for a standard house key or mail key. I think the length isn't necessarily for the keys, but rather the pocket clip. If that clip was any shorter I don't think it would feel as secure. -Carly
