My wife and I have a art table in the bedroom. We have our paints in dish pans and when the muse strikes us we set up each other's equipment. She is a portrait painter. I am the tree and mountains kind of person.
😂 yea, I learned the hard way about fan positioning. I have 5 German Shepherds, a TON of fur flying around, and of course lil flying vampires (mosquitos) I've had everything find its way onto my canvas. I've since positioned it behind and to the side of the easel, it has actually helped keep things from finding my canvas! as far as the liquid courage.... You're right, it will loosen you up, but watch out for that fine line, I've finished/ruined paintings by crossing that line....
Yes... animal hair is the true bane of all painters out there ha ha ha... You know I never have though about putting it behind the canvas - Not a bad idea, Have just enough to cut loose it all you need... cheers ::)
In your videos of making cheap bob ross kits, you said you can get the 200ml titanium white for $13. Where are you buying them for $13 and i wasnt suspecting them to be a typo because in both of the bob ross kit videos you say they're 13 bucks
I am sure prices have gone up due to inflation and cost... BUT I just checked amazon for me here in California and 200ml Tit White was $14.50 so still close to $13. Other advice I can give is look for coupons... Micheals will have 20% to 30% off all the time.
Hello, Ryan! Not sure if I was the one who inspired this video, as I did ask for exactly this... but THANK YOU! This is incredibly helpful! As simple as it may seem, and even though nearly all of this has been covered throughout your other videos, it really helps to see it all put together. As I promised, I am now a new paying member on your channel. You have been an exceptional resource for a newbie like me, and the main source of confidence building to get me going. Thanks again, and know your efforts are greatly appreciated. Cheers!
I think a few people ask for something like this... So happy to help :) Hell ya buddy - I appreciate your support and I will do what I can to help you out on your painting adventures. I can't wait to see what you create :)
This video was so cool and informative! Even though I already do a lot of the tips you mentioned, it was very neat to see your setup. And also reassuring to say "Hey, I do that just like that cool guy does!" LOL Thanks for the video and all your videos, Wild!!!
Sometimes its just nice to see how others do something OR even just to see that what you are doing isn't wrong cause others are doing it too ha ha ha. Thanks for watching and supporting buddy 💪
After I started painting, I wanted a bathroom next to my "studio." Easy access for water to clean up. Is there something you recommend to hold the paintings to the easel? I have a tabletop easel, and kinda irritating holding the canvas while using acrylics or oils. Also, is the bar to hang the brushes adjustable? It looks like the bristles would curl.
Get yourself some A clamps or bar clamps. Those work great for holding the canvas to the easel. I think you can see an example of them in action in the videos below: H easel: ua-cam.com/video/xB1CD9yFFrM/v-deo.html BR easel improvements: ua-cam.com/video/bjvOo7cuPII/v-deo.html If you are talking about the metal magnet bar.... You set the height and drill it in. So make it whatever height you want.
I kinda wish i could get an acrylic paint pour version of this lol i do fluid art but this video was amazing and I loved every bit. I can definetly use a lot of this to help organize my little work area, just with a few differences for flat work station. Keeping things dust free can be hard and good drying spaces too. Thank you for the awesome content!
Hey Mr Wild - where did you get that hat! I need a hat just like that to keep my long golden locks out of my eyes and painting - 😂😂🤣🤣- now check out my logo!
Nice vid . On a side note, my son was given a Bob Ross rock paint kit recently. Have you ever done a review/ vid on it? It doesn't come with everything you need but had some fun with it.

Very cool, I place all my paints on a pegboard board . This also helps my keep an eye on the paints I'm getting low on.
I kinda do the same thing on my indoor painting room. You can also easily organize them by color too.
Excellent tips. I like the wax paper idea.
Wax paper is awesome - Makes for cheap and easy clean up at the end of the painting day.
Alot of great artists painted sitting down.
Very True
This was REALLY great! It's great for newbies like me to see what people who know what they're doing do. Loved it. Thanks man.
Glad I could help you out. You dont need much to get started BUT I know it helps others to see how I stage my area.
