Glad to see Alice Cooper's back on, there's a lot to get into. In my opinion, his early music is best, songs like "Unfinished Sweet", "Under My Wheels", "If You Want To Be My Lover", "Generation Landslide", "No More Mr. Nice Guy", "Hello Hooray", "Welcome To My Nightmare" and "Billion Dollar Babies" and more. Thanks for the deep cut from Alice, so cool!
@@africanfartingfrog Oh,yes it was. The girls just went nutz over him back then. We all went to see him at the Hollywood Bowl for this concert and every one of them down front were losing it. lol. Same thing when I went to see him for the School's Out tour.
Had that album when I was a teenager. Alice Cooper is one of the greats. His music ranges from simple to really complex, making him a great composer in my opinion.
In my own opinion, Killer is Alice Cooper's best album. You should also note that at that point in time, "Alice Cooper" was the name of the band as well as the lead singer. I love Alice Cooper solo, but for me and for most old-school Alice Cooper fans it's the original Alice Cooper *band* that released the best albums, including Love It To Death, Killer, School's Out, Billion Dollar Babies, and Muscle Of Love.
Hey Biz, love your reviews man! Alice Cooper is one of the most theatrical rock stars ever. He does write all of the lyrics for his songs and is an excellent lyricist. The first 7 albums were the Alice Cooper band and then Alice went solo. He legally changed his name to Alice Cooper early on as well as it being the original band name. There's so many songs, but here are a few more you have to check out, Halo of Flies, The Ballad of Dwight Fry, Muscle of Love, Welcome to my Nightmare and Billion Dollar Babies. Keep up the great work!
Ha ha. You know it’s going to be a wild one when you walk in and see the stage decorated with spider webs, crutches, a wheelchair, a tombstone, a refrigerator, and a life size doll named Co.d Ethyl lmao. Biz, I will join Tom here in suggesting The Ballad of Dwight Fry to see him at his most imaginative crazy self. I can’t say harmeless…but he does pay a price for his antics. Look for a live version 6 min or longer, prefarably from before 1995. He sings 90% of the song in a straightjacket with a microphone jammed in there somewhere. You recently did a list of rock anthems. School’s Out and I’m 18, both of which you have reacted to, would be good on such a list. He has other songs that fit the description well but are not as widely known. At his shows, you know when the anthems are being played; that’s when the “audience-blinder” lights come on lol.
Alice Copper you saved my life do to my job and personal life i had to hear that song from the movie frozen [let it go ] several times a day for 2 years. To keep from losing my mind I started to pretend it was sung by Alice Cooper. Now I'd like to hear a cover by Alice Cooper. If your out there Alice Copper please cover that song from Frozen❤
You're KILLIN" IT today Biz with these reactions! Love me some Alice Cooper, he's got so many great songs, and there were quite a few hits that were love ballads. Plus, you need to watch the Cint Eastwood "spaghetti western" films "For a Few Dollars More", Hang 'Em High" and "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" (the best of the 3).
Thank you sir. Alice tells stories. Always good vs. evil! Always choose good is the is the moral. Thank you again young sir. Much love and respect. Ronald Beckman....
Alice is a king with lyrics. This album is perfect from start to finish. I think his album Flush the Fashion is one of the greatest albums ever. The song Pain has the greatest lyrics I ever heard.
Now this is an album to do track by track. This is a masterpiece. There's not a weak song in the batch and the band is firing on all cylinders, with just enough wild edge to make you feel like you're up on two wheels. A seminal band that influenced many but nobody sounds like them nor got it right like they do every time.
alice cooper learned that story telling style from jim morrison, alice used to hang out with morrison in the 60s, he even called morrison his "older brother". parts of the song desperado even refer to morrison..."i wear black lace and i wear black leather". morrison used to wear a white lace shirt with a black leather jacket and pants. alice cooper was famous for being a heavy drinker, and jim morrison pretty much drank himself to death.
saw them long ago in st. louis,, real showman..charisma just draws you in.. its like a broadway show..he guillotined himself on stage among many other things.beginning the show had balloons with money in them and threw them into audience.. people went nuts and hes says and you think im crazy!lol
My Alice Cooper story: the first time I saw him was 1978 in Kalamazoo, MI. I was a student at MSU with not enough money for tickets and gas for the trip, about 75 miles each way. I sold my text books back to the book store - at mid-term - to raise $100. Went to the concert and had a great time. I spent the rest of the weekend playing backgammon for money and won enough to buy my books back Mon. Morning for three times as much as they had given me for them. Never missed a class or assignment though. 👍🏻 Since them, I have seen him 15 more times under more comfortable financial circumstances. 😅 Alice’s shows are like adult Halloween where he is always the victim of his own misdeeds on stage, is the best wayI can put it. As an actor/entertainer he is most convincing. I really believe he slips into his stage personna for a couple hours every time there is a show. He employs top notch musicians, his shows never disappoint musically or theatrically. The Killer album is a rocker start to finish. If you decide to do it entirely, know ahead of time there is a song called Dead Babies. At this point in my life, with 5 grandkids, it’s kind of indefensible and I no longer have it on any of my devices. Whatever problem he was mocking or point he was trying to make, even humorously, just isn’t something I can have any more. It is a very good album with the original band members and an exceptional quality recording for its time. I enjoyed your take on Desperado, Biz.
this song always reminds me of Val Kilmer's take on Doc Holliday in "Tombstone". Fits the bill perfectly. Not the most physically imposing man in the room, but by far the deadliest, doesn't even matter what weapon. "I'm your Huckleberry." ;)
If you want to do a whole album from Alice Cooper, I highly recommend "Welcome to my Nightmare." It was released in 1975 or 76. It's funny, it's scary, it's moving, it's deep. And best of all, you can dance to it! It's really one of his best!!!
So many great tunes from Alice Biz. But he is a live performer for sure. I have seen him many times and he is always on point. The old stuff is great, but the new stuff is also awesome! Thanks for this one, and for doing a great job diving into it.
I was just thinking we need more Alice Cooper reactions, especially the early stuff, when it was the name of the band, not just the guy. Classic album front to back.
I'm a new subscriber. I love Alice Cooper, he's my hero! His concerts are the best I've ever seen. Try Welcome to my Nightmare, I'm Alice, Brutal Planet, etc....
The best line was right before you paused "You're at peace, and I must hide". The instrumental break when you came back in is his escape into the desert, where he gets lost and dies.
I remember that he mentioned in an interview that he wrote this song for a befriended woman who was dealing with one bad guy. So this song probably even has a deeper meaning - like many of Alice's songs.
As a young teen my Southern Baptist mom would ask me not to buy Alice Cooper records because he looked ‘of the Devil’ 🤣🤣. I’m glad before she passed she learned he was Christian and involved in many worthy charities. 🤣🤣🤣
Alice and his manager Shep Gordon spoke about his onstage persona as "Killer",in 3rd person. As if he was possessed by a different person onstage. Killer would do this,or he would do that, etc. There wasnt much Killer wouldnt do. Including Necrophilia. (Cold Ethyl)
Nice to see Alice Cooper again...there are lots of suggestions below, but here's a deep cut (from the same album - IMO their most complete) that everyone seems to forget - "Halo of Flies" - a must hear: ua-cam.com/video/fGOD1-NtxH8/v-deo.html
You're becoming one of my favorite reaction channels. You're covering the classic rock I grew up with! Awesome job! Try Jeff Healy. A blind guitarist singer that will blow you away!!!!! Check out "See the Light" from Night Music tv show in 1988...PLEASE!!!!!!!
Biz you mentioned doing an album review. Hey I was thinking about that when I watched your review of BOC veteran of psychic war review. That song was written and recorded for the Heavy Metal movie sound track. That would be a freaking awesome album to dive into. So many great bands did songs for that one. Sammy Hagar, BOC, Devo, Cheap Trick, Don Fagen, Grand Funk Railroad, Black Sabbath, Trust, Don Felder, Nazareth, Journey, Stevie Nicks, Riggs. A deep dive on that one would be just fantastic! Anyone else in here agree? Think about it Biz..... Rock on!
You should see the inside of the album cover! I would love to see you react too the rest of this album. Other than that you should check out Muscle of Love.
I picture evil is what I get. Same energy as sympathy for the devil. I’m a priest that’s gone to town he’s talking the same thing sympathy for the devil is
Glad to see Alice Cooper's back on, there's a lot to get into. "i'm a picture of ugly stories" one of the best lyrics ever written.
Beaten out only by, "...we got no class, and we got no principles, and we got no innocence, we can't even think of a word that rhymes."
"Cold Ethyl" can't be overlooked or "Is it my Body". Alice never disappoints.
It certainly wasn't his body
@@africanfartingfrog Oh,yes it was. The girls just went nutz over him back then. We all went to see him at the Hollywood Bowl for this concert and every one of them down front were losing it. lol.

Is it my body is absolutely brilliant

Only women bleed is a phenomenal ballad with that Alice Cooper twist and it shows his range IMO. One of my favorites.
I like this tribute of one of Alice's songs. ua-cam.com/video/yTF5QaUNTx4/v-deo.html

ALICE COOPER-
GUTTER CATS/JETS 💥💥💥
This song was a tribute to his friend Jim Morrison...just after Jim died...long live Alice Cooper 🕷

Yea ,👍ALICE COOPER《《《《ALBUM》》》》MUSCLE OF LOVE music video🎼🎩🎸🎶🎶🎶☮️
I think I seen Alice like four times live, first time 1972 OKC, billion dollar baby tour, kick a__!

He is from Detroit Michigan a real Detroit rock star. His Halloween show back in the day was the best.
The production of Coopers albums was top notch for the day..
this song always reminds me of Val Kilmer's take on Doc Holliday in "Tombstone". Fits the bill perfectly. Not the most physically imposing man in the room, but by far the deadliest, doesn't even matter what weapon.

Alice Cooper "The Black Widow " ( studio)
Alice's pen game is legendary...Hit "Go To Hell" when you can. 😎😎
I was just thinking we need more Alice Cooper reactions, especially the early stuff, when it was the name of the band, not just the guy. Classic album front to back.
great tune i haven't listened to in a long time. for another great storytelling tune by Alice listen to
"The Ballad Of Dwight Fry"
Bloody hell you read my mind! I had AC BDB on earlier and I was hoping a reaction would come up on a deep track of his

STEPHEN-ALICE COOPER. 🎖
Alice Cooper - "I'll Never Cry"🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Alice and Michael Bruce wrote a lot of the songs, in the beginning and I believe they wrote this together.
Halo of Flies is probably his most amazing song. you could do the Ballad of Dwight Fry it's a nice ballad
Something about the phrase "As my Colt begins to rust" just struck an Ozymandias vibe with me.
I remember that he mentioned in an interview that he wrote this song for a befriended woman who was dealing with one bad guy. So this song probably even has a deeper meaning - like many of Alice's songs.
Written For Jim Morrison. Awesome Album by the way
$20 was a months income for most in the 1890's
Possibly the nastiest, coldest lyrics ever sung (spoken).
"I'm a picture of.... ugly stories"....
I Never Cry
Under My Wheel, Be My Lover, Caught In A Dream & We Still Got a Long Way to Go
Great track.
Bob Ezrin had them in their prime. Flawless
As a young teen my Southern Baptist mom would ask me not to buy Alice Cooper records because he looked ‘of the Devil’ 🤣🤣. I’m glad before she passed she learned he was Christian and involved in many worthy charities. 🤣🤣🤣
Only Women Bleed... Amazing song.
lace n leather refers to a gambling dealer who wore lace arm sleeve holder bands on their arms like garter belts

Yes on the full album review of Killer!

The song was purportedly written about his friend Jim Morrison who died that year
Alice Cooper has a Classic Car Collection you won't believe. Like Reggie Jackson.🤠🇺🇸🏁👍
All the songs do not have "this" vibe, but they sure do all sound like Alice.
You really should do a live clip. the climax of his show. Either Steven/dead babies/i love the dead or Ballad of dwight fry/killer/i love the dead
Legend !
Other rock n roll westerns are the cowboy song,, blaze of glory, wanted dead or alive, wanted man.
Every album is a whole scary story
And in his show he is taking shoots fake but he gets shot in the show. Oh back in the day it was kick ass he is a moving show live.

I think the best song by Alice is called Cold Ethyl. For some reason he never scratched my itch, lol.
☮️🤘🤙
That's not even his best song about necrophilia
Be my lover off of this album has story about one of the band members
When I saw Desperado I thought it was going to be a cover of the Eagles song.
Under my wheels.
Back in those days 20 dollars was an ounce of gold...
I always thought the standout cut from this LP was "Dead Babies"
Desperado is a Tribute to Jim morrison
Halo of flies.
It's about Jim Morrison of the doors
You should see the inside of the album cover! I would love to see you react too the rest of this album. Other than that you should check out Muscle of Love.
Halo of Flies. My husband said to tell you about this one. I haven't heard either.
"Halo of Flies"
BLACK OAK ARKANSAS-WHEN ELECTRICITY CAME TO ARKANSAS 💛

Oops meant Balid of Dwight Fry
🤘😎🤘
Back in 1850 I think $20 would buy you a ranch and amunition
It's about a gunfighter..
I think this song is about Jim Morrison
Somewhat more recent but, "Sunset Babies (All Got Rabies)" 🙏
I'll subscribe. Listen to Billion Dollar babies.
under my wheels
Is this about the song or bizzmatic listening to himself?
Amazing feedback sir, very clever. 👍🏿 Enjoy your day
Alice wrote that song for Jim Morrison 😐
Twenty dollars was a nice spot of change in the late 1800s in the West...
...but then again, pretty damned cheap for a life, even back then.

Cowboy ..come on man.
