Listen on the Go! distanceprep.podbean.com/ My podcast page is live, so that you can take the lectures with while biking, driving, exercising, etc. I have been told that my voice is a better sleep inducer than Ambian, but I cannot vouch for that. If that is the case, then maybe operating heavy machinery while listening to the lectures isn't such a good idea. Well, listen at your own risk. Access via iTunes will happen soon. Thanks for the interest, Chris B.
T G 0 seconds ago I have a question on Sentence structure- How will you teach simple compound sentences, or active passive sentences to EL learner, advanced or students with disability ? Do anchor charts help? Should we teach first simple sentences and then compound or just both together ?
1/3 See this video on the Language Experience Approach: ua-cam.com/video/lcukuvIcU4U/v-deo.html I would teach go from simple to complex always, and check for understanding along the way.
2/3 Sentence Frames are also useful for this purpose. I don't have a video for that one, I did a search and found this site. blog.edmentum.com/why-you-should-be-supporting-your-english-language-learners-sentence-frames
3/3 Anchor Charts for Writing are certainly useful. I would suggest using them systematically - teacher modeling, guided practice, student independent practice, then apply in a real context. Here is a site that I found that might be helpful. educationtothecore.com/2021/10/anchor-charts-for-your-primary-classroom/ Hope that helps.
