As someone who comes from a military family, may all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice rest, and know your loss was not in vein. To those still serving or who have served thank you from the bottom of my heart. Peace to the fallen.

War is a tragedy for mankind. no man or woman should have to endure such thing, but they choose too because they know and believe our family, freedoms, and country as a whole is worth more than themselves. Blessed be the brave men and women of the United States who are currently, have returned, and especially the ones who have fallen for this nation we call home. May God watch over them.

I do not know if a Good God exists, one would think he would save us, not offer a Rapture or tell us, you are a sinner and you must worship me or you will burn. These good souls, who march off to war, wars that are not fought for good causes, but these truly heroic souls do not believe that. All the lost heroes, died fighting to better this world, they give their lives for us and think that their life is not as important, as the lives they could save. I do not believe in Gods, but I believe in the spirits of our fallen heroes, I believe it is their energy and love that still protects and watches over us all.

We have done many awful things, to our own and to others. We have to remember all that makes America great, is us, not our leaders. We have never been led to the promised land, we have never been treated as people are meant to be treated, especially those who freaking died for us... We do not need to go to war, but we should protect the weak from the strong who would victimize them. We need a return to real moral values, not judgment, but Heroism, something that our country was founded on.

I remember listening to this song 2 or 3 years ago and having this same idea. I think it is definitely one of the beat songs to make a tribute to. Thank your for putting in the work to make this piece of art.
Whenever I listened to this song, I always imagined the same face. The face of a young person, 21 or so, first freezing around a fire during the Civil War, before dying from grape shot. Then in a GI uniform, falling while running on Omaha. Next crouched in the jungle of Vietnam, killed by a booby trap, then in Army Camo, up in Afghanistan. Same face, different uniforms, different places.
At then end, during the choir portion, I think of that face, and the face of every person to every die in any conflict, singing together. I believe that their souls will not be put to rest until truly the last shot is fired. They forever wait to see the day the peace they fought and died for comes, but cannot, and may never. It’s heartbreaking.

Their lives are wasted by a warmongering regime that seeks to keep this planet in a constant state of war. Brothers killing brothers, a lack of peace, because the world leaders want injustice and cruelty to thrive. Look around the terrorists are the ones controlling the UN, Dems or Repubs, they are all war mongers seeking to make the common folk suffer, for their own sick amusement. Good men and women, the most noble, the most honorable are sacrificed by the cult of war that the UN, USA, Canada and UK support. The only club is theirs, they act like they are not all on the same side, they are, theirs. They want us to suffer, or the world would look differently, the world would be better. Our vets would not starve on the streets, kids would not be homeless, this is all the fault of the ones in power, and all the powerful are evil cabal bastards who want a world of misery. I fight for freedom for all, for those who had their lives taken away, for those who gave their lives willingly to a corrupt, dirty, evil system. We must realize, it is us vs them.

Dude, you totally missed the point then. This is not about sides, this is about War being pointless, the pointless loss of life... All you want to do is cheer on or mourn one side, that keeps the cycle going, I want to see the last shot fired, an end to pointless hate and despair. All war is, are powerful people manipulating others to kill and die for them, when it is insane. Freedom, true freedom and equality is all that makes sense, hate is irrational and pointless. The powerful have the duty to provide for all, not to pick and choose, not to decide who lives and who dies, they want to horde resources and power, instead of granting life to all. A rat race, a dog eat dog world, is one ran by cruel masters who wish to watch the weak die and suffer, if you support that ideal, you are either pure evil or being puppeteered by pure evil. If you can reason that some should have plenty, cause they had the strength to earn it, you support a selfish society, the strong do not victimize the weak, they protect and teach them. Those who state Evil does not exist, are manipulating others, are trying to hide and convince people that it is ok to not care, to watch people die. That is absurd, while you do not have to kill yourself, you should be caring enough to feel bad on behalf of that which is out of reach, why would anyone given the chance to be Superman and save the day refuse? A bitter, or brainwashed being, that is for sure.
