In the US, when trump did the same thing (during a boomtime due to Obama it's worth noting), hordes of poor and uneducated people cheered, not understanding that the tax cuts were very much not for them, and that those cheered for tax cuts were actually a form of wealth redistribution, since the overwhelming majority of spending is done to help the established rich, charging them less when they derive the overwhelming majority of the financial windfalls/profits from the economy.
I think more and more of the most incisive, penetrating analysis of the current" body politic " in the USA is being achieved by comedy writers and performers like in part, the night-time shows of course ( Colbert & Kimmel and until his departure from "The Daily show", Trevor to name but the most successful. )

The State Department might also try putting wood pieces under theirs, maybe attached maybe not.
I was very impressed that disgust with the new British PMs position a la 'tax the poor but only spend on the rich', which is like they read Robin Hood and got the lesson very, very wrong. In the US, when trump did the same thing (during a boomtime due to Obama it's worth noting), hordes of poor and uneducated people cheered, not understanding that the tax cuts were very much not for them, and that those cheered for tax cuts were actually a form of wealth redistribution, since the overwhelming majority of spending is done to help the established rich, charging them less when they derive the overwhelming majority of the financial windfalls/profits from the economy.
omg he's so cute & adorable!
I think more and more of the most incisive, penetrating analysis of the current" body politic " in the USA is being achieved by comedy writers and performers like in part, the night-time shows of course ( Colbert & Kimmel and until his departure from "The Daily show", Trevor to name but the most successful. )
Goddamn national treasure!
