Saudi Arabia's foreign minister met Pakistan's prime minister and president on a two-day visit to the country. The trip comes days after prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman agreed to expedite Saudi investments during a meeting earlier this month. Pakistan's top diplomat called the Saudi delegation the biggest he had seen in his political career. Islamabad claimed that the focus of this trip would be on Saudi investments. One of the projects is the Reko Diq mine in Balochistan, where Riyadh is investing around $1 billion. Will the Saudis make inroads into China-dominated Balochistan? Why does the kingdom keep investing in Pakistan despite its poor track record? Palki Sharma tells you.

Ultimately, Saudi / UAE will always help Pakistan because of the Muslim brotherhood even though initially they may not want to help Pakistan as it cannot repay those loans.
Pakistan has two Godfathers as - 1. Saudi / UAE - Financial help / Oil [and] 2. China - Military and financial help. [Even though there is no Muslim brotherhood with China - the common enemy (India) keeps them glued together and in the event of a war with India, they will be jointly attacking India using soldiers/manpower of Pakistan and military hardware/money from China]. The day India has friendly relations with China - the glue that holds Pakistan and China together will disappear. As Chinas fertility rate is declining and Pakistan fertility rate is increasing, it makes sense to use the soldiers of Pakistan as China will not want to get their own soldiers killed on the battlefield.
Unfortunately, India does not have both those options and has to work hard all by herself to stand on her own legs. If it was not for Saudi / UAE - Pakistan would have collapsed long back.
