For the Hacksmith Kart Cup Season 2, it would be hilarious if cameras and controllers were added to the karts so people could play on a TV just like the original game. The only thing is, the karts would still have real drivers. They just had no control over the driving itself.
And the person with the controller can’t see what’s happening, the person on the go kart their piloting has to tell them where to go, imagine the chaos
James just like turned his aggression stat up to previously unheard of levels XD Just driving the kart at full beans no chill maximum effort, but sadly that only works on wider sweeping courses rather than tight technical ones lol This was fun to watch guys, y'all did well and had fun too 👍
I don't think "more realistic" is the correct expression here. It doesn't get more realistic than real life. "More like the video game" would probably be more accurate.
This was fantastic! I'm impressed how you were also able to implement offensive item sensors as well. I 100% feel you on farming the PCBs out. When I watched that the first time, I was just thinking how much work you had to do to get that fun, little OLED to function as intended. Props that the karts could take many a crashes!

Would attaching the bumpers a little better help prevent it from rubbing your wheels and stopping you? Idk, but this is seriously a dream come true haha. I've always loved Mariokart! Putting the tactile joy of chucking things aside, a functional way to do attack pickups could be something akin to laser tag, with an emitter on the front of each cart and a sensor on the back, still using the existing powerup colour code system but adding additional ones for the pickups. Then just putting a second button for "weapons" on the wheel along with the speed boost button?
damn, cant believe you guys took the time to do this! it all looks amazing, you should take bigger breaks and do some videos like this more often. Instead of always doing something new, you can make a low effort video with cross testing projects or something like that so you dont get too fatigued of building things

I've only seen one guy make it for real, which was a Russian youtuber, but that wasn't a very informative video and it was very short. He didn't make the actual arm either, only the blast shooter so it would be cool to see a complete arm. Btw, love that you actually answer unlike other channels.
Gotta and another thing, taking the idea of using power tool batteries for a mockup of a project I am working on in college that has an NDA. Can't wait to finish this project before I graduate December 2022!

You guys need to put a tracking system on the carts and use beamers over the track. Then you can have the carts deploy virtual shells and all the other fun stuff from Mario cart. The beamers project the items on the floor.
I have a challenge for you Hacksmith Industries... Now we know you made Batman's Grappling hook and Battarangs, the Mandalorian armor, your own spy car, and the Power Loader from Aliens. But here is a challenge for you to do: The Batman Beyond Suit as a whole with some, or most ( but not all) of its major functions. Examples of such are Infrared vision, mini battarang launchers, long way communications in headset, very durable and can protect the wearer, collapsible batterangs(in the batman beyond look of course), and it's most Iconic feature deployable wings that can work.
I thought that I was having fun by tying balloons to my kids' belts to run around popping like Mario kart. This looks awesome. Thank you Hacksmith for always making it real.
It would be really cool if the karts could communicate with each other via Bluetooth so if a player is in last place can launch a Blue Shell towards the player in first. Then when the first place player is hit it either temporarily disables you from using items/boosting OR it could randomly apply boost that can be activated by the last place player. Really cool idea, I appreciate the craftsmanship.
This was a great prototype. Now I think you need bigger karts with better rail padding to absorb the impacts. Track wise, it might be better to do outside so you're not hitting very heavy objects. The boost sounds were awesome and throwing actual shells was great. I didn't think a real life version would be possible but I think you have a great proof of concept. It would be cool if this turned in to an actual real life sport.

Man this had to be a beast to organize it looked like crazy chaotic fun. Maybe next time this needs to go to a full scale go-kart track.
