  • This is advanced negotiating for Guild Expeditions with more than 6 options to choose from. This shows negotiating the final 5 encounters on level 3 and the final few battles on the new Guild Expeditions level 4!
    *Please note* While I do say in the video I don't recommend doing level 4 due to it's cost, that was when it was first released and I do not hold to that anymore. Level 4 is the best way to win free diamonds on the game at the moment and it is well worth doing despite the costs of negotiating through it.

    This is fantastic, thank you! I never knew about the tavern boost for 4th round and I have been doing expeditions for 5 weeks now, finishing 2nd level and 3rd one once, as you can imagine I've wasted tons of resources and goods this way. And the eliminating strategy seems brilliant! Going to do it your way from now on, starting this week :)

    Thank you, you sharing this video, it's very informative. I just start it to play this game for a couple of months ago I'm in the Early Middle Ages. I have a lot to learn and this video helps me out. :)

    RE: the encounter that ends at 21:00. You actually can eliminate where the talc goes with confidence because both the silk and the brass can only go in slots 3 and 5. Which means the talc HAS to go in slot 4.

    In your very first negotiation, I feel you made an error during the 3rd round. You placed coins, your only unknown, in the column where you had no information. Had coins not been one of the final solutions, you would have gone into round 4 knowing nothing about that column. Even if you'd gotten all 4 other columns correct, you would have been guessing 1 out of 3.
    Instead, place your unknowns into the columns where you have the most information. That way if they are not needed, you will still have a better shot in the later rounds.

    Ok, so if you are a real GE newb this is a useful tutorial because it gives you a pretty good idea of what GE negotiation is.
    Once you got beyond the newb experience this tutorial has one single interesting idea to offer, one single real negotiating tip.
    Namely, when you negotiate with 10 products, the initial (first) negotiation is composed in fact of first two negotiations which together will select (and test) ALL of the 10 products, in two sets of five goods. The clear reason for this is to get as fast as you can the selection/elimination of the usable/unusable goods.
    Of course, there are alternatives to this choice of selection, but it's hard to tell which idea is better.
    Another useful, obvious conclusion is that you will need diamonds. Effective GE negotiation is done using diamonds.

    • @charlessmith6680
      @charlessmith6680 2 роки тому

      No, diamonds are not required for effective negotiations. Due to my city level's now I rarely need to negotiate but when I do it's rare I ever use diamonds. Do you need to sometimes? Yes. But it should be the exception to the rule.

    Very nice. Pretty much the same process I used to do.I fight levels 1-3 now.

    • @lokblaze
      @lokblaze  7 років тому

      Yes Imperiatus, I now fight levels 1 to 3 as well. But many people do negotiations and were doing it so wrong. Though with the changes they did to GE a few weeks ago I have started to have to negotiate the last couple battles of 3 again even with a 108% attack bonus. I'll be working on my attack GB's after I finish up my arc which will probably be a couple months.

    I just opened up a new city in the realm of Houndsmoor
    (I decided upon Houndsmoor because it was the only one I could pronounce)
    .
    My Guild is called
    Iron Age 133.3%
    Just a team of Iron Age players only who play the GE
    This video is very handy to help put new players
    .
    I encourage players to obtain the Achievement Award
    It's dangerous, I will go first (Volcano Icon)
    Bronze, Silver etc
    .
    My Guild members are ranked;
    .
    Cadet Bone Spurs - Just join, do nothing
    Lieutenant - Play the GE
    Captain - Level I
    Major - Level II
    Colonel - Level III
    1 Star General - Bronze - Level IV - x 1
    2 Star General - Silver x 5
    3 Star General - Gold x 20
    4 Star General - Supreme x 50
    5 Star General - Co-Founder status is awarded

    you state something like you dont like to do level 4 simply because the rewards are not that great. but, what about if your guild are running neck and neck with finishing in 1st place? it could mean the difference in winning and advancing a level which could level up your guild's forge points....could it not?

  • @thomasboomer9809
    @thomasboomer9809 3 роки тому +1

    You don't do level 4? You got to be kidding. The rewards are HUGE!!!! Max value of GE is only achieved by doing 64 encounters and most advanced players do 64 every week. I realize you are trying to help new players but perhaps you should revisit this and learn yourself. I have been playing for years without needing to buy diamonds because GE gives me so many.
    Also when negotiating ten items yes you want to eliminate as many as possible, so on your first two tries, you want to use all 5 items in your top and bottom rows if possible. Getting a red not needed result is very good, because it eliminates items. However, when I am short on an item, I will hold off on that one and try to only spend it when it is the only remaining choice. I will also buy an additional turn with diamonds, because GE will tend to pay back every diamond you spend and more.

      This video was done years ago and I agree with you. Level 4 is well worth doing. But at the time it was new and most of my guild was of the opinion the costs were too high versus the rewards. But that was edited into the comments on the video above awhile back. Diamond use though should only be if you really need to get an encounter done and you're low on goods on those higher levels. I probably only averaged 30 to 60 diamonds used for extra turns between all 3 worlds weekly back when I used to negotiate often. Now I pretty much fight through it all.

    You can win relics on Level 4 and that does make Level 4 worth it.

    • @lokblaze
      @lokblaze  7 років тому

      Yes Joel, this was made right after Level 4 had opened up and nobody in 2 different worlds guilds had won any which was odd. We were only wondering at the time. Unfortunately it's not worth redoing the video just to correct that.

    getting a match before last round is always bad since it eliminates options for you . if you hit 4 on first round you are in bad spot since you have 1 spot to check for 4+ options . and not selecting 1 good is the same as selecting it .
    I would disagree on lvl 4 being not worth doing if you have goods you go for it , if you have rogues you go for it . lvl 4 has amazing rewards you almost always get +net on diamonds and building rewardsa are amazing wishing well good , sacred sky watch good , terrance farm good .

    dude you make my head hurt the way you do your negs. i use patterns to do mine and it works so much better than how you do it. also you must be doing something wrong in your cities if you think that about all the buildings you talked about in this vid. i mean sky watch is great dude and so is terrace farm. ritual flame is awesome. i use to boost my city defense and plug holes in my city since they dont need roads. its awesome when i log on and see ppl trying to plunder me and fail when they try and suddenly realize my city is strong and not weak they instantly bail after they see hardly any damage done from their attacks lol. on a more critical note i dont hear any fun in your voice. its as if your bored with the game and only play out of commitment. like a job or something. i like to have fun when i play so i wont play any game im not having fun playing. it simply is why ppl play games. thanks for the vid but frankly i wont be watching any more of your channel.

      Yea, it's a bit odd. Also the way he thinks of getting greens in the first round as lucky. It's anything but. Greens in the first round can severely hurt your chances of finishing the negotiation. Reds are best. The more the merrier.
      About the city defense stuff. I dunno. In my experience, most people attacking my city fall into one of these two groups:
      1) Not committed/not much attack bonuses to speak of. Just combing through the neighborhood in search of easy targets.
      2) High combat bonuses, committed to fighting.
      The first group will bail at the sight of a defensive army of 8 units. The potential reward is not worth the losses for them. Any army of the latest age you got access to will do the trick. Defensive bonuses usually not needed.
      The second group. Well, they will get through no matter what you put in defense. Defensive bonuses are worthless against these unless you manage to get above 500% or some such. Which would be a colossal waste of space. You are way better off just putting production buildings there and accepting something going missing every now and then.
      All in all, my experience is that against some people defensive bonuses are not needed at all and against others they are useless. So I don't get any except those that come as a bonus with something I already want for unrelated reasons.
      The situation may be different on your server tho.

      Well hopefully after having watched this you learned how to quit doing that. Most weeks on 4 different worlds i complete level 4 and use diamonds maybe 1 to 3 times between all 4 worlds and many weeks none at all.
