Detroit, Michigan | WORST Areas at Night

- Here's some of the worst, most abandoned and dangerous areas at night in Detroit, Michigan. Detroit has a population of 603,378 and has been steadily on the decline for many years. The crime rate in Detroit is still one of the worst in the United States, with violent crime rates being 450% OVER the National Average. Homes have been simply up and abandoned. The real estate market is awful as you would expect, unless youre in the midtown to downtown area where things are actually growing. For the rest of the city, it's looking rough. Let's check out some of those places at night!
I really appreciate the info you provided at the beginning of the video. It gives a fuller idea as to what we're seeing. So many of these homes were spectacular in their days and it's so sad to see them in such decay. Great video 👍🏻
I’m digging these nighttime rides. While the areas don’t look nearly as sad, depressing, and scary at night, we know that these neighborhoods are inherently even more dangerous under cover of darkness. Especially creepy, in a sad king of way, knowing that some of them may be “occupied” after dark.
It definitely has a different vibe, honestly I like doing night time way more. It’s on my time schedule lol
@@hoodsnhollersDon't you get nervous though?
I bet that place is an absolute nightmare when it gets warmer out.

Seeing the night time videos feels right at home for me. I work graveyard and watch most of my UA-cam at night just to stay awake. Reading doesn't help much.
So many of these houses look like they could've been grand old homes back in the day. I still love all of the old trees, even at night. Thank you and be safe!!
I'll be posting many more soon, thanks for watching Vicki!
The night is scary no one on the streets . Please be safe Hood and Hollers
I love doing night videos. Now that I have made some upgrades I can definitely do them a lot more
When you look past the blight it’s clear these homes were once glorious a long time ago. So sad to see the decline.
Jus think how vibrant it once was, sad to see these beautiful houses burned, boarded and neglected
I love night time rides.. Its so beautiful. 👍
You can see those square brick homes that have been turned into apartments, in Indianapolis, that are really nice.
You can tell how most of these houses must have been gorgeous and much sought after homes years ago. Very sad to see this city as it is now.
I'm going with 50-50. You get a different feel at night but it's equally as sad.
Never saw a tour at night-Very good choice!
Thanks so much for watching! If people like the night videos I’m more than happy to do more of them!
I'm surprised by how many occupied homes keep their porch light on. The streets/curbs are very clean I must say.
First - what was the light in the sky at 20-25 seconds on film? It didn't look like a plane!
I held my breath every time you stopped at a stop sign. So dark, desolate and scary looking. Be safe out there!!
yeah that was really weird looking, there was 2 things flying through the sky with a weird glow
may have been a light reflecting off the windshield
The low light on your camera is really good.
Are you riding a bicycle? That adds a whole other dimension to it. Great video. I didn’t expect it to be so quiet in the neighborhoods.
I've been waiting for this one. I haven't been in Detroit for a few years.
I have been ro central Michigan last week. Thank you.
Hi, thanks for the video. Very interesting and creepy. Please make sure, for safety's sake, to have your gas tank full, tires inflated to their needed levels, and a well maintained car in other ways.
Thank you for watching!
Exactly what time of night was this? Since I see lights in most of the houses that aren't (yet) abandoned I assume it was between 9 and 11...
awesome and mega footage best channel going .
Thanks for watching John!
It's kinda eerie, to be honest
What happen to you Detroit? Why did you let this happen?
Sad really.
Ford Motor Corp invested Mult Millions restoring historic train station as venue, museum and has Amtrak up and running June 2024.
Believe it will all breath new life into Detroit❤
Great video!
I am interested to know what crimes happen there. Local people commit it, homeless or someone random. What type of crimes? Can you say sth more?
Dexter-Linwood area is def one of the worst westside areas...I hope you stayed and got some nightfootage of the East Side because it's really wild over there at night. It's literally no lights up and hard too see on a lot of the streets. Van Dyke and 7 Mile, most of Chalmers ect
Yeah (New) GREAT VIDEO!!!!
Thanks so much for watching!
thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Lot to see thank you for being so brave!
Thanks so much for watching!
Strange - no people visible. In all the other night-time Hood videos I've seen, every street corner has a crowd of people standing around talking and wandering aimlessly around.
Great video! You may have caught UFO activity in the first minute of the video. Probably just an anomaly or reflection, but still cool nonetheless.
i follow your channel from libya in north africa i hope you good times
Thank you so much for watching!
wow ty very scary I pray you safe
thank you so much
Looks like a great set for a horror movie. Or zombie apocalypse.
Talk about being deserted!
I wouldn’t even drive or walk or ride my bike there during the day!💀
Небо какое то фантастически красивое . очень на контрасте с тем, что находится на земле
Which side of the city is this on?
Westside Dexter-Linwood
Why does almost every tree look dead gotta be some demon spirits living in those areas
And you're driving there !
Fallout vibes.
😮
Taking your life in your hands making that video 😮😮😮
Where's all the homeless people ?
in my country they call it a quiet and peaceful place!
