- what's up guys! we're back today with a reaction to blonde by frank ocean. technically it's not a first reaction since molly tried very briefly to listen to it when it first came out 7 years ago, but she hated it at the time and never gave it another chance since, so we thought it would be a great idea to revisit it now. sorry the songs are cut down quite a bit, the video was really long and i’ve tried uploading videos with frank ocean samples in the past and ended up getting blocked every time - apologies in advance if we cut your favorite parts. as always thanks for watching and please give us a like and subscribe on your way out ✌🏼

My first listen of Blonde didn't really blow me away either, I only came back to Pink+White and Nights. I let it rest for a hot minute, came back to it, and it started to click a bit more. On my third listen I was absolutely sold on the whole project, one of my fav albums of all time now.

Yeah same here. Only liked the hits and a couple deep cuts. Came back like 6 years later as an adult having actually gone through real experiences and i could appreciate everything about it. Frank tapped into the realest of real to make this
Seigfried is one of my favorite and most personal songs of my life, the distant chords, the different sounds that come and go, Frank’s delivery, everything just takes me to another dimension where I’m just with my thoughts and feelings. I love it so much

@@Randhawa241I know I wasn’t asked, but I too consider this album life changing. I don’t think I’d say it changed my perspective on life put more so it just gave me music and an experience that I’ll hold close to my heart forever. That’s really what I think most “life changing” media does.

"Frank Ocean - Blonde tribute" it's essentially a supercut of the album with accompanying visuals. It's a must watch. Really helps put you in the right frame of mind for the vibe of the album. The transitions are super smooth and the 2nd half of the album really opens up IMO.
Great video though. I love Frank. I always switch between this and Channel Orange as my favourite but think I'm on the Blond side for now. Maybe it's a mood thing. This album is brilliant for a late night drive or sitting out on the porch after dark

@@roem443I watch it several times a week. Usually in the morning when I'm waking up or at night when I need to chill.
One thing that sets this album apart for me, in comparison to some of my other all-time favourites, is being able to vividly remember my first listen. I think what struck me was the way in which the album expertly goes back and forth between vibrant creativity to moments of restraint when you least expect it. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

you just unlocked a memory of mine. I didn’t know that I even remembered my first listen. A girl that I really liked had told me to listen, and I put this on during my walk to her house. I remember the route i took im everything, kinda crazy. And then I remember listening to it in a different light shortly after she started dating another guy, and how the album meant something different to me at that time. and ive always associated it with the sadness of my second time visiting the album. just thought i’d mention it😅.
Blonde is probably my favorite album of all time and I love seeing someone listen to it for the first time, as I wish I had that opportunity again. I've seen a fair share of Blonde reaction videos but I must say this one might be my favorite! I loved the facts you've provided as well as your interpretations. Thank u

I remember listening to this classic when it came out. Like all the best music puts me back to that summer in London. White Ferrari and Futura Free are my two favourite songs. Absolutely timeless.

This album is a masterpiece and there aren’t many reactions to it on UA-cam.
Injury Reserve was a rap collective of 3 people, and while working on this album, sadly one of them passed away. This album was then finished by the two left.
RIP Groggs, and I think Molly will really enjoy this album but also be sad afterwards.

This album was truly ahead of its time, really doesn’t feel like it was released in 2016. The album feels like something that would be released in todays modern music. Blond truly is timeless and one of the greatest albums oat.

I feel like I had the same thing with White Ferrari - first listen I thought the lyrics were cool but wasn't crazy sold on it. Second listen I thought "maybe this song as actually genius??" and before long it was my favourite song. 6 years later, still is. Nothing can top it

When I was first getting into really deep-diving into music I stumbled across Frank really for the first time after he performed at the Grammies. When Nostalgia dropped my initial thoughts on it were the same as Blonde, confused by the direction in which he was taking his music in. After more and more listens I found myself immersed in song, I had never felt that before. Like me brain was was following the words and the outside world was non-existent. Frank has always received flak for his lack of music out there. I can’t say to anyone that I don’t wish there was more, but at the same time, I don’t want it if he doesn’t.
