I was about to give up playing this game bc of the awful PC optimization and lag

i like it has no innate controller support on phone, but the select button on xbox 1 controller works to bring up the message about exiting the game with no modifications needed so that seems programmed
@moonpig660 yeah on some controllers you can press a button that auto works for example on ps4 controller pressing 0 brings up exit game menu lol. Cheers.

I agree. I don't have an ios device currently so I can't help with ios for now.
I'll just wait to Beta test the PS5 version.
Mantis Beta as a free user only allows 1 linked App, which is fine, the issue is the Token system which limits your play. You get 10 and everytime you boot the game through Mantis, it deducts 1 token. Unfortunately, if the App crashes, which happens often during sometimes during intense fights and a few times when I was just running around. So I had to Uninstaller Mantis and reinstall, remap and go again. If that doesn't bother anyone, then it's perfect but the extra BS to play a game slightly more conveniently doesn't seem worth it. My Jiyan and his weapon will just wait for PS5 Beta, got on the Honkai Star Rail ps5 Beta so I got hope. Still hope this works for someone enough to make a difference.
I do have the pro version. I have to say I've never had a crash or hickup with the app, and I've been using it for years, which is why I always recommend it. I have read comments from others saying the same thing, which I find strange because I use mantis on a wide variety of different devices from some running android 8 all the way up to current android 14. The app is worth it for those who are like me and will use it on a daily basis, so getting the pro version is definitely worth it. It's strange to me about the crashes told by some of the comments. Obviously, if an app keeps crashing and not working the yeah, it wouldn't be worth it. Cheers.
Tried it, works properly. One thing that I couldnt figure was how to manage a long press input (for charged attacks), How you do that?
Sadly, that's one thing I couldn't get to work either. I think that might be a function Mantis needs to add as I can't seem to find a setting to have that type of input. I'm glad it's up and running for you otherwise. Cheers.
How's the impact lag doing it this way? I imagine the game would feel slow and unresponsive unless it's native?
Far from it. Very minimal to no lag. I use many different devices on different versions of android. And I've had no lag issues to report. So not an issue. Cheers.
The app only gives a few free tries, when it runs out then you have to pay for it. It's only $6 but my country set a lot of taxes on digital purchases so it's no longer an option

Can u please do a follow up ? The mantis buddy stopped working after the version 1.1 update of wuthering waves today . It was working perfectly fine but keeps crashing after a minute after the 1.1 update

@@PicasoEnt I'm guessing the 1.1 update got the optimization messed up again.. game was running fine but after update even without using the mantis buddy , it crashes every 5 minutes and it's lagging insane even on low graphics.
And the mantis buddy works for like 2 minutes then suddenly disconnects from the game , and the notification of (mantis ) being active keeps popping up and going away every 20 seconds and makes the game super slow and lagging
@mahanghafari4197 interesting, as soon as I can I'll do some testing. Shouldn't be too long from now. In the mean time try wiping mantis and the game cache from settings, and starting from scratch with the Mantis setup, if you have the time. Sometimes a full clean restart helps.
@@PicasoEnt I did the clear catch and Data and uninstalled both the game and mantis app . Still didn't help . Restarted the phone too . Didn't do a deep restart tho .
So my game is still on version 1.1.0, I don't see an update for it so the games running perfect. Once I get the game update, I'll give it a try and get back to you.

Get a gamesir x2 for iPhone. That's the only way you can play on iPhone.
Yeah, my phone will freeze sometimes on low, adding another app to map a controller would make it worse.
I will just keep playing genshin on PS4.
Since HSR, WW is the second game that completely lost my interestt just for not releasing on psn on day 1.

I'm sorry, my friend. Currently, I'm not aware of this app working with ios. Maybe check through the appstore for a similar app. I can't help with that currently because I do not have an apple device at the moment. I will look into though as many using ios ask the same thing.

It should work on most devices!

The game crash when i open that app
What device are you using? What version of android are you on? Once you've set up mantis app. You add the game to mantis like I showed in the video, then run the game from mantis. Have you followed all the steps shown?
@@PicasoEnt i using s24 ultra, yep i do all the steps, i can play but for five minutes and the game crash em Block my Phone... the mantis APP have any bug in s24 ... Block the Phone and have to reboot
That's very strange, I play on the z Fold 3 and the s22 ultra. It's not a bug with the mantis app but it could have something to do with the s24 ultra maybe. Tbh I'm not sure. Maybe check any of the social communities for help if you're interested. I use this app on device as far back as the mi mix 2 and I have no issues. In the app they have links to thier forums and social communities. Sorry I can't help more.

Controller works on iPhone for games that natively support controller like call of duty mobile, Gershon impact etc. This game is not one of them, and I'm searching for a way to use controller on games that don't support controller for ios.
