good question. most of the gold business persons in india are nothing but cheaters and looters only. in dubai gold coins you can exchange to current gold value, but in india (TN) few shops not accepting other shop coins and not providing full money. 24 ct coins almost in packed condition only no one using so how come they can reduce the value.

However I still don't understand the Logic of Charging 1% wastage for coins in the name of Value addition by all Jewelers . You keep charging for every coin sold , Your die cost is one time only where you produces lakhs and lakhs of coins Year on Year , But still you keep on charging the consumers don't you think it is a kind of burden you load customers over and above GST , when already You have a Huge margin in every gram that you sell in a Given day . Atleast for coins you can exempt that 1% what is over charged . Any how All Jewelry shop owners have there own convenience of wastage for every Ornaments the Public buy where You float the wastage as per their wish and marginally reduce as if they are reducing since there is no standardization which is the cushion for sellers to keep floating .
