"Mr. Sandman" is a popular song written by Pat Ballard which was published in 1954 and first recorded in May of that year by Vaughn Monroe & His Orchestra and later that same year by The Chordettes and The Four Aces." But let us not forget the cover in 1981 by the trio of Dolly Parton/EmmyLou Harris/Linda Rondstadt, which I'm pretty sure inspired this version by the lovely Barbettes. But let's face it, its lovely melody invites beautiful harmonies like this. The hard part is finding a group that can do it. The Barbettes are definitely up for the challenge!
