This is one fine song I used to hear a lot when it was released in 1954. I was eight then and wondered a lot of things when I heard this song. The language is very good and clearly pronounced so although I am from Guatemala and speak Spanish I understood most of the song as Mrs Perusina my English teacher had taught me a lot from a book "The King's English #1".
its so weird to think about it that they became old, had families, and eventually died, one by one, all of them looking over everyone else and smiling from heaven singing together waiting to be all together again.. Death is just such a weird thing, we don’t expect it to happen and when it does its a shock or relief.

Literally doing the same thing
+DC2k Music I actually thought it was in Fallout 4 but then i remembered it was just included in the youtube mix with the diamond city radio songs
Чудесно! Очень красиво поют. Изумительный квартет!
Perfect harmony and perfect syncronization makes this, one of the most beautiful songs ever ❤
I still wonder until this day whether that yeeEESSSS?! was improvised or not
acredito que não porque naquela época as coisas eram mais formais do que atualmente. yesssss
Na verdade faz parte da canção originalmente.
It’s not
I think it was ... watch how the camera switches to him!
Zel Coleman it’s literally in the studio recording
It sounds even better at x1.25 playback speed
Try x2
that actually sounds better
@@sleak1961 thats scary
Playing it at 1.25x was cool.
Playing it at 0.25x was extremely creepy.
Out here nightcoring
Reminds me of Arther Godfrey , we listened to the sandman everywhere loved the ladies singing it thanks for the memories
Sandman brought me here. These ladies are fantastic!
Oh my gosh, this song just gives me happy feels, I love it so much! It makes me think of driving at night while it's raining
Intro+background music+ voices= MASTERPIECE ✨
this song makes 62 years in 2020 62 years ago my grandmother and grandfather were childs
these women are someones great grand mothers
That went deep real quick 😐✌️
Man, this song is 65 years old and this song is still great😊😊
its so weird to think about it that they became old, had families, and eventually died, one by one, all of them looking over everyone else and smiling from heaven singing together waiting to be all together again.. Death is just such a weird thing, we don’t expect it to happen and when it does its a shock or relief.
I BELIEVE THEY ARE ALL OUT THERE SOMEWHERE IN SPIRIT.
Мне очень понравилась, получила удовольствие, благодарю!
This song reminds me of my nan and granddad, and my granddad passed away sadly. I think that's the reason I love it, because it reminds me of them. 🖤
Woah RapMonnn It reminds me of being about 6 or 7 years old and my Mom singing this to me. I still miss her a lot too and it's been over 30 years, but I'll take those memories to my grave.
My 6 year old son heard this song come on my playlist on the way to school this morning and he hasn't stopped singing it since. I pulled this video up for him to watch it and he sang along!
That's adorable.

I really love this song !! It's my all time favourite ❤ Love from India 🇮🇳🌾
This tune became a classic before I was born. Fell in love with it when I was only a child. Sweet.
I know this sounds really odd, but I'd rather spend a day in the 1950's than in 2016. Just to see how different it is.
yep
+Khaotic because the 50's had no problems what so ever when it comes to youth.
***** After reading up on billboard's hot 100 for 2015, really only a third of songs are about the above mentioned themes. Most of the songs there are about things you'd here in the fifties and sixties.

Mr.Thicc Thot ... nicely placed joke.
Cristal clear female voices and perfect harmony, that's what made great songs to sound so good. This video is a time machine tribute. Greetings from Brazil.
These women are so beautiful, with amazing voices. Such angels.
My teacher’s name is Mr. Sandman and every morning he would put this on and we would all sing altogether as a class
Damien Jacob what the heck that’s the cutest
It’s true I was their desk
it’s true i was the floor
It’s true I was the walls
It’s true I was the ceiling
This is beautiful. Sounds like bells and as if I'm slipping into a deep dream

My great grandfather recalls a spring afternoon in 1954 he was laying down having a nap and this song played on the radio as he woke up, he said he felt like he was back in France during WW2, he settled down in a convent where nuns sang to his platoon while they awaited orders to move into the Ardennes.. their voices he said, angelic and soothing..
Was this on a movie?
@@ChuckNorrisUltra The Golden Girls sang it in one show.
i cant stop hearing this for some reason
Because it's a great pop song with an actual melody.
Because it's an SCP. Did you think Mr. Sandman wasn't real? No!!!! You asked him for a dream, but you don't specify day or night dream
Much Love =)
Thank you for this amazing music!!!!!!!!!

Nice to see some Halo fans out here 😂
My favorite song when I was very, very young. Thanks for sharing!
Most aesthetic song in the 50’s :D
Elisah Steer underatted comment.
Well, i would respectfully disagree. Nothing against this song, but I think "Everyday" by Buddy Holly is just a little more pure and wholesome. ^_^
Usagi1992 I’m going to look at that song! 😁
@@brunomcleod Thank you, It's worth it, I can assure you. ^_^
Usagi1992 I like it! It sounds nice!
