Loads of jobs in one day, always found that satisfying, and your right Tom not everything goes to plan, but you can get over most stuff, great vid , keep them coming always look forward to them. 👍🚽
Hi Tom, a nice few jobs there getting sorted, I don’t mind jobbing around occasionally but definitely not all the time. The worst part for me is the driving between jobs and finding a parking space etc. Hope you’re now feeling better mate, have a good weekend and as always take care. 👍👍👍
Good call Tom. I used to be in reactive maintenance, with various social housing contracts. Dripping taps, float valves, dodgey syphons etc. Don’t mess around changing parts, change the full unit for new. Then (hopefully) no call back, to do the job, that you wish you had of done in the first place. Many new parts are cheaper than call backs/hourly rates!
I have learnt the hard way in the past, by the time I have messed around trying to fix it, I could have been in the van and onto the next job had I just changed the lot without the fear of a call back. Thanks for the support mate
Nice video Tom, thanks. I’m always surprised to see a system full of magnetite (as you showed) still working! (I suppose it wouldn’t have been the case for microbore.) Hope you have a relaxing weekend.
don't blame the plumber for poor fixings on radiator on new builds builders can't be bothered to put a sheet of timber where radiators fit and secondly plumbing company you work for can't bothered to pay for decent plaster board fixings because the plumbing company has given really cheap price to get the work go work on new builds for a month and try it you will end pulling your hair out they want top quality plumbing for crap pay
Good content Tom, I like the jobbing ones👍🏻 one of the reasons I like doing bathrooms from scratch is that you know where you need additional timber for rads, screens sinks etc so you can always get a decent fixing. I hope that screen in the teaser was going in the skip mate🫣
I used to love going out on the jobbing jobs Tom as it out and about during the day instead of being stuck on the one job. I think i told you before our firm used to do these jobs on a Friday.
It is good fun, the only thing is sometimes on small jobs you have to work a bit around customers schedules, for instance can you come after a certain time, thanks for watching as always mate
It's not the best place in the world but not the worst, it used to be so nice but it's gone down hill. The Christmas market was today and consisted of just a few stalls, I don't even think the council have put a tree up, thanks for the support as always mate
Yes mate those cavity fixings are rubbish. I won't use them . Jobbing jobs always test you as all unknown what you are going to need . You rattled through them Tom .👍👍👍👍
You could be right. I put screws through the non slidey holes in the brackets, I have never been back to one I've done like this, but that doesn't mean it will never move, it's just I've not had a problem, thanks for watching
@@PlumbLikeTomno worries! On a separate note, know how many gas engineers I've contacted over the past 2 weeks asking for the opportunity to complete my portfolio?!? 20!!! 17 no replies, 1 said already working with sons and the other 2 said no but good luck. Soul destroying!!!
Hamworthy, when they send out the commercial PCBs now they don’t preprogram them. You have to call them so you can set it up either 0 to 10 V or volt free signal from the BMS it’s a right pain.
It turned out to be a problem with the interlock onto the gas solenoid, until that proved it wouldn't move onto letting the boiler go through it's sequence, putting the boiler in service mode was over riding that stage. They changed something in the panel and it's all be working fine, thanks for the support as always James
Hi Tom I have a beautiful red toy cockapoo her mum is having another litter with the same dad we’re getting another one as she’s such a lovey Dog. Do you want me to ask to put your name down for one! carnt promise you’ll get one I could ask for you tho!
Timber = best plasterboard fixing ever invented 👍
Got to love a low level cistern 😀😀 so easy to work on

Any flavour in particular, I have used one of those plastic folders you put paper in before, thanks for the support as always mate
Been emptying a bathroom sink trap today. You'd be surprised what I found in there🤦♂️. Have a good weekend tom. 👍👍

It is easier to do it that way sometimes, thanks for the support mate
Nice verified jobs Tom well done mate.
Thanks for the support as always mate
Quite right chief. Curly wurly plasterboard fixings don’t belong on a plumbers van. EVER! 🤨👍
They don’t even belong on the shops shelves totally useless.
They are rubbish, thanks for watching mate, have a great weekend
There ok for pipe clips that’s about it.
great vid as always 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always mate
Those powder coated towel rails always go to shit , knew it was going to be swapped for a chrome one when I saw you taking it off 😂
I hate the white towel rads, like you say they all go rusty, thanks for the support as always mate
Another great video Tom, town of Sleaford looks worth a visit sometime, any Christmas markets like at Birmingham?
It's not the best place in the world but not the worst, it used to be so nice but it's gone down hill. The Christmas market was today and consisted of just a few stalls, I don't even think the council have put a tree up, thanks for the support as always mate

That towel rail looked minging lol
Thanks for the support as always Tom, it's much improved now
Modern cost saving construction methods really are utter garbage. Totally puts you off buying a "new" home.
I have worked in some new homes that are built quite well, some are just built for cheap though, thanks for watching mate
The radiator will slide again if someboby presses on it !
You could be right. I put screws through the non slidey holes in the brackets, I have never been back to one I've done like this, but that doesn't mean it will never move, it's just I've not had a problem, thanks for watching
those pushfit rad valves...... aaaaagh.... if the rad gets moved even slightly, i find they can start leaking!!!!
I hate them, the whole building was done like it, thanks for the support as always John
