Thank you for this! It rained in California non stop last weekend and I noticed that there were water marks on our closet wall and ceiling, I suspect it’s coming from our laundry vent, I will try this and hopefully it works ( I’m scared of heights so pray for me☺️)
You know, that never hurts if you have a lot of hard rain and you are worried about the runoff running up the flange and still getting inside the crack. I would just get some 100% silicone and fill the crack.
What kind of furnace do you have? I have an older one so the whole pipe is metal. No rubber flanges. But if you have a newer high efficiency then some come out in PVC. If you have the PVC then I don't see why this wouldn't work for it.
Thank you! Good idea to check roof before rainy season
Yes, yes it is.

🙏🏻Will do.
Did it work?
Great video and tip! Really appreciate you!
You are very welcome.
do you need to seal it on a slanted roof where we get lots of rain?

Do they make something similar to go around your exhaust from your furnace?

It's older so I would assume it's going to need metal. Thank you for your response. I really enjoy your videos
