I have never been to Indiana. Wow, your soil is so very different from what I have ever worked with! 🇺🇸 Hello form north central WA.
I want a wall like this but angled back into the grade. You helped me to understand what I need to do and anticipate. Thanks
Nice operating Mike!
Cool to see you pushing the 10 wheeler to the limit in the back yard fully loaded....That's the sign of an experienced "driver" knowing the limits and getting the job done. Your skid steer is proving it's worth lately on these multi-task job sites, bet you're happy you invested in it after all...That retaining wall came out great, what's the owner plan to do with the facing of it in the future?
Work safe
Doug@ the "ranch"
Thanks Doug you the skid steer is handy for sure and possibly stone
Great ad placement ! A Pepsi ad is a natural fit .
😁
I love it when a plan comes together .
😁 me to
Indiana DOT used a screen shot from your video pointing out your tie down violations. Need more chains bubba, ALWAYS be safe when it comes to securement. Those are families your sharing the road with... Great vid's, keep up the hard work!
Yup check out video officer and a friend 😁
@@DirtPerfect haven't had time to watch the whole thing yet. Ill admit i stopped when i got to the screen shot point. Have a great weekend!

Quality time with captain kleeman ✅
Does it get any better? 😂😂
lol possibly will have to wait and see 😜
Captain Kleeman ... Stilt walking with shovels could become an Olympic sport! Make sure you practice it with the shovels turned backward so you can enter the 20meter medley event.
William Harris im thinking an annual dirt perfect vs captain kleeman olympics, driving skills, shovel walking....so many possibilities!! 😂😂
Captain Kleeman ... that would be awesome... maybe get Junior to fire the starting pistol, Wade can carry in the torch, Brandon can level the playing field and Jason can do the color commie-tary!
Cleaving Clods with Captain Kleeman!
Lol always great to see you and fire Marshal bill working together!😂!
Hello there. Henry Wilson here. You work in some lovely places like that the retaining wall job by that big River. I thought it looked more like a lake.
Thanks Henry
I love those blocks. You did this before you did the stream retaining wall, and that was great. This is going to look super. They can or have stuccoed it, paint them and the house to match and it will be very cool. Would love to see the finished product.
That really turned out Dirt Perfect. Really nice!!!
Thanks
I was hauling dirt a couple days ago and I was thinking about that old channel I knew you had some old content on here, or well kleeman did lol! Guess I’m a fan from way back! Keep up the awesome videos
Awesome and thanks
That wall turned out nice.
Thanks
All of the practice stacking bloks in preschool is finally paying off.
Yes sir
Love the voice over at 9:02
Lol
Nice Job Mike... My Hydrema would worked perfect to load out!
Yes it would
Good job, always interesting.
Thanks
I have always wanted to do that!
You must one of those “go ahead” drivers! Lol
😁
another unreal job mate.
Thanks buddy
Turned out great.
Thanks
Any ideas for running drain pipe through these block?
Great video, what is the felt or fabric used for ? I’m just curious if it is for soil stabilization or a weed barrier I’m up in pac nw and we get soft soil conditions and use the geo textile over pumping soil then pit run compacted using a sheep foot roller if the rock in it is larger than a few inches , that seems to push the larger ones down and give the blade a bit of room for sub grade prep before rock and water truck believe it or not we still need them out here even with all the rain . Hey I understand you can go broke if you try to have every piece of equipment on a job and renting is a loosing proposition if you want to keep a little margin for your future equipment needs . Your doing it right keep overhead low and equipment paid for. And make the apprentice grease equipment after he s off the clock ! Lol I remember those days good luck 👍
Allen in this video it’s waterproof
TFI grading would be a good new name for the channel
Good one
@@DirtPerfect pick what f meens lol
@@DirtPerfect that was my rc car and boat race team name lol
We loved it.
For those block walls is there any amount of slope you can “go with” or does the length need to be perfectly level and step the base up or down if the elevation drastically changes?
Always build walls level
Dude I click "like" on your videos before they even start they are always good. Keep up the good work!
Awesome Jeremy I appreciate that
Should have named the video "like a recking ball". Lol God bless
Thanks
Wall looks good Mike. Question, did the Derby Mayor have a State of the City meeting or a Community Development meeting? 😂👍🇺🇸
Lol not closing on a house we sold
Looks great, watch out for Kleeman lol
😜
Great job as usual.....Cheshire UK..
Thanks
He should call his channel "Hose draggers side job"
Don't forget the batter.
Awesome Job!!
Thanks
When the wife says get moving Boys ,,, lol ,, you know it is time to drop the tools ,, ,, HAPPY LIFE thing right there ,,, lol
Yup true
So, just how high can you go using blocks as a retaining wall? I was looking for some tie anchors behind the wall but you didn't use any.
If you use gravel behind the wall you are good.
4 blocks before you need to tie back
I like to think of this as a comedy channel.. also when will you open a Pepsi with your mini?
Lol will try
Kleinman the fire fighter trained by Dirt Perfect the great
lol doing my best with him
Like the video Mike .have good day .
Thanks buddy
My siding gets like that on the shaded side.......drives me nuts
Yup north side
I notice you don't bury any of the bottom course like we do with hand laid retaining wall blocks. What's the reasoning behind that?
Shallow frost line
Yes it looks good but how does water not go into the house/basement/against the wall and cause rot?
Wall is water proffered concrete 🤷♂️
I know what you have now, or almost have, that would have been handy on this job.. 😁👍
How do you finish the retaining wall when it is next to a house like that? Do you face it concrete? What about the top and ends of the blocks? They are a wee bit ugly and the hard corners need softening IMHO.
Stone
Perfect example of "Pushing Like A Dump Truck"
Yup got that right 😜
It' always the last one that gives trouble
You got that right 😜
I know this is an old video and I know it’s past, but I’m thinking Captain Kleeman worked out OK
man its like playing in a sandbox out there yall have no rock lol
Oh we do just wait have some videos coming soon
Hold my beer and watch this!!!! Smh 🤣🤣😎 poor ol Jimmy one tuff ass truck. Don't pay kleeman until Saturday he might stick around to help
👍😂
looking good
Thanks
I have a suggestion if Kleeman wants to change the name of his channel. The Adventures with Kleeman. That turned out nice.
Lol will let him know 😜
Just wondering why? Ya should use those for building a cinder or salt shed, Not a nice country home. Unless you cap parge and stucco them. Or maybe stone work?
Will get stone work
The blocks don't cooperate to allow you to show off your expertise. See?
Just as precise as the great Wall of China 😁
Exactly I think 🤔😜
Name suggestion: Dirt adequate
Thanks
he has one called captain kleeman
Yup good little channel
No skunk? ;-)
It's a shame it couldn't be symmetrical to the sides of the house (right side drain hose)?
Not on this one
superbe video,bon job.
Thanks
someone get this man a 6x6 dump truck
lol he’ll no could not afford to drive up and down the road 😁
What do those blocks go for out where you're at?
35 for the 6 foot ones
@@DirtPerfect preciate the comeback on that! Not a bad price and look decent!
Looks like you got to power washes house
Yup north side
25:00 sounds like a deuce and a half
lol it kinda does 😁
Well I see your help has dirt perfect shirt on ? How's the clothing line comeing pal
Slowly getting there been to busy to work on it 😐
@@DirtPerfect 10 4 pal
Nice
Thanks
Actually Sorry to say But I think it looks unfinished, those blocks sort of need to be tapered to follow the contoured to the ground. It looks like an industrial type of finish to me, as you would see at a trucking yard just done for a purpose, keeping a bank from slipping down, or a loading ramp. No actual finish. Put a few tyre rub marks and a few scratches on it, park a forklift on top and a trailer beside it and it will look right at home.
Thanks for you opinion but remember one thing you are not the home owner / customer just the lucky guy that got to watch a awesome video on UA-cam thanks for watching 😁
Looks good thought you was going to tie them donkeys to the dump truck to get it out but you just kept her moving
😜 damn jack a😜😜
👍
Did a similar job on a horse farm with 2 foot by 2 foot by 4 foot block. I think they weigh about 3200 pounds. I used a 1995 skytrak to place them. Sure wish I had an excavator to dig the footing. Had to use a shovel and a tractor with a front end loader. Skid steers will spoil you, not being able to see the front of the bucket SUCKS MONKEY NUTS
I wish I had a Swivel Hook then I could lay those blocks on my own Mike is saying to himself.
You nailed it with that comment
You called it. It's not a hard job, just a pain in the butt job. Oh well It's family so what choice do you really have.
Dirt Devil?
That dump truck driving was painful to watch. 😂🤣
But got the dirt where I wanted it 😁
This house needs paint badly. I’d make absolutely positive the water gets no where need the basement or its foundation, then I’d protect the house just like your doing with a better drain plan then it had before you got there. New name?; Cleeman’s scheam’n
Should've let him replaced the sideing
Before you put the wall up❗❗😱
Why 🤷♂️
So ❗😱 they could've put the siding on 😕
Do you thunk maybe the brother in law could power wash the wall???
🤷♂️😁
The blue-eyed titanium family refuse because frog regularly arrange over a deep raven. perfect, measly boat
That's a nice industrial look, for a country home setting, pfffft.
What kind of work do you do dipshit? What if that's what the customer wanted and its within their budget.
Tim heck, well that there is Charles schwab, the famous bank investor, few people know, but, on the weekends he trolls UA-cam comments for kicks to pick on the little guy 🤷♂️😂
Nice comment douchebag. I am pretty sure the job isn’t done.
The blocks may be the retaining wall but they may not be the final facade.
Even if they are they aren’t at your house.
I think I hear your mother calling from upstairs to let you know your pizza pops are ready.
😁
😂😂😂
Nice job
Thanks
That turned out nice I like the contour to it
Thanks buddy
it looks great! thanks for putting the time in to film for our entertainment. you got a new sub!
Thanks and awesome welcome to the channel
You can’t paint your marking because @CaptainKleeman left his “tape measure” at home.
I definitely will watch Kleeman’s channel. Even if he is only half as crazy 😜😝 as he is on this channel it should be fun to watch.
lol yup. Check him out good little Chanel
Most excellent job! Sure goes a lot quicker than the 4” X 12” blocks I used... If course that would probably have gone quicker if we hadn’t lost half a day rigging my grandson’s Tonka truck crane to set them with!
Nice job love the sound of the dump truck 👍
Thanks
Awesome job guys! Looked a little steep for the truck 😳🤣. Great work!
It was just have to close your eyes and go for it sometimes 😬😂
Dirt Perfect hammer down
My favorite thing about the Kubota skid steer is the hydraulic controls I love that over the electronic ones. And the hydraulics don't have a computer that can take a crap and cost you to $2,000 + dollars to repair
I jave a job just like the one you have in this video. My dilema was exactly as yours was. How to pevel a track-hoe on the bank of a deep cut. I think I'll do thr same with the fill as you did then dress up the creek after we're done digging. The property owner says the large concrete block looks too "industrial" so we'll have to make som adjustments, but your Idea for leveling the machine was spot on...
I see Hoover was not impressed with your Load Securement of the 4 blocks on the trailer.
There are 170 comments so far on his FB page, at least you are helping others learn.
Not the first won’t be the last
I love your work! I can watch your videos for hours just like I can watch Andrew Camarata. Most importantly I was sad to see that you are not located in my state. I have a huge retaining wall job that needs to be done as well as regarding my hillside with a french drain around my house and drainage in the yard. Seeing your videos helps your customers to see the integrity you show in your with. Thank you for your work and craftsmanship.
Thanks Trevor appreciate your kind words and feedback and bummer wish I was closer
Dirt Perfect it's all good man. No problem. I'll keep watching and learning. Maybe one day I can try it myself. Keep up the great work sir! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁
Me too!
It's not a hard job ....it's a family job so it's impossible and never makes cash.
Presure washer perfect? first video can be cleaning that siding.
Yup it needs it but not my house
Smooth as silk, getting better on the Kubota too!
Get on it then, no time like the present Mr.Dirt Perfect.
I do believe they will be “ retaining” your services for future projects Mr Dirt Perfect!😳😉🤦🏻♂️😆 As always it looks great , and it will greatly help with drainage!👍👍
lol thanks for the awesome comment
That’s your sinker.
Remember you trying to get semi turned around unloading with the little JD tractor that is a lot of tracking there. I thought for sure that first load of dirt was going to end up in the corn field nice job Mike 👍🏻
lol me to
I was watching, wondering if you'd put in a drain behind that wall, glad to see it! My dad needs this exact thing done at his farm house, the retaining wall put up by original builders has no drain and all the dirt washes in right around the wall.
Yup I bet not good
Looks like a job well done. I would have probably driven the skid steer through those sliding glass doors. Lol. Have a blessed and safe week.
Thanks and not yet 😬
Is that kin to an Arkansas
Once again another great video. How much do the cement blocks go for?
Thanks and 45 for a 6 footer
Would you believe that I use to buy them for $5.00 each 10 years ago but had to wait for the concrete company to dump their leftovers at the end of each day... I would put in an order for however many I needed on a Monday morning and would pick up the entire order on Friday night.....it was a great deal ! The following year...the price went up to $50.00 each because they figured out how much they were losing at $5.00..... I bought over 40 in one year and still have them for the 30x30 firewood bins I made.....all your walls look great Mike !
I think the house needs a little WASHING......
Yup
What is the weight on each block
