Nice job. Those are some of the sharpest walls on a basement hole I've seen in a long time. Most people around here dig basements with a track loader and they dont look near that good. I like how neat and organized the job site is, it makes working on the site a lot easier when its organized. Well done sir.
That's a good looking( clean and organized ) job site . That turned out to be a great looking driveway . I love that footer drain form stuff, I have never seen it before, neat and efficient setup for building footers . This is a great informative video, so thanks Mike . I will be looking for the next videos to go with this one . 🤗👍💖💫
Sir, I love your explanations. My daily grind couldn't be farther from your profession and I have no idea about building. The way you explain it is straightforward and highly informative, I find myself watching more and more so I see something outside my office stuff. Cheers!
Fantastic video Mike! Great to see the drain system go together, and nice recovery of your drone in the tree. Your guys certainly work hard and know what they're doing. Truck driver spreading skills are impressive too. Enjoy your weekend, work safe. Doug@ the "ranch"
So glad to see someone that understands draining outside to a drainage instead of into a sump pit as is common even when fall is available some idiots don't,have never understood it either they are lazy or cheap. A bad deal for a homeowner if they don't be it crawl or basement put a drain to the natural outside sumps fail during storms because of power failure,a sump connected to natural drainage now that's a plus!
Hell of a video Mike. Never heard of those forms before very interesting. My hats off to you man, keeping them boys working, your other crews going, keeping your self work, civic duties you do, family life and friends, and to top it off you tape it now and share with the world.
Mikey you have some talented operators there. As you kept saying " perfect "! Guess Dirt " Perfect " trained them ! Thanks for vid buddy. You all do great work.

That looks so much faster and better than the old footers we always had to build by hand. Great video Mike and thanks again for sharing this all with us. Great job on making the driveway look wonderful. Every place I have lived in seems to always have narrow entrances and pull trailers and I've so many times almost lost them in the ditches. Now if I build a driveway I make them much wider now but most people dont do that. They think oh a car make this but never consider trucks with trailers or stuff like that. I wonder some times if the people dont think about that or what.
I just watched a 30 minute video of some dudes pouring concrete, crashing a drone and building a driveway. You fine gentlemen have earned a sub. Cool and very interesting and super informative
Mike. I'm impressed with you and your crew as usual. Never seen that drain before, but havent done a basement in a while. I put radiant floor in my shop 60 x 66 and used the2" egg crate looking tongue and groove sheets for the pipes. I loved it.
Good driver her spread that rock like a pro. The foundation looked great and really like the form/drain and the icf what a great start to an energy efficient and strong home.
Good work Mike.. I tip my hat to ya sir! I sure love the sound of that truck well both of your trucks actually.. I seen the video when you were talking about the exhaust very unique but that lil red dump truck screams it's loud and proud in this video lol.. Keep up the great work Mr. Dirt Perfect. I can't wait to see the finished project...
I never really thought operating heavy machinery would require much skills until I watched you swing that bucket over the truck at 07:28 in one consistent motion and just barely missing the dumper by like 6"

Hello, I am assuming the interior form a drain ends up under the floor slab? Not sure how you work that and have a screeding surface on the inner footing surface? I hadn't heard of them before. Might not be suitable for our particular soil and rock? Take care. Doug
Mike I like the way your doing this job. It looks like a good quality work. I had never seen the form-a-drain product. I will look into that for some future work. I use the ground fabric a lot but not many of the other contractors around me do. I think it is worth the extra cost. The only thing I have a question about is using screenings/crusher run right on the cloth?? I usually us clean 3/4 -1 inch stone right against the cloth. I want to have the water drain from under the drive. I then finish with the crusher run rock on top.
We had the slightest wind when we laid the road fabric down on our driveway and it made it nearly impossible to keep in place before we got any stone on it!
While you have the hi-hoe there dig a pond on the lower end slope and connect the rain spouts to it at a later date. Just a little idea to do now instead of down-the-road later. I'm not talking anything large, simple flowing pondless kit or a 12 x16 three feet deep , think landscaping now , little bit of a pain with my older home. I'm building a 20 x 25 shop now and evesatroughing big O pipe to the backyard to my little pond beside the garden. Thinking ahead will help. I have seen those drain boards pop off after years!! Run some 4” stainless screws that will help hold to concrete
Looks great ,what size rock did you use on the road
53s
