Insane value, super tanky for their price, excellent at secondaries while guiding and making our best damage unit extremely scary. They can even be used as relatively sturdy move blockers on turn 1 thanks to infiltrators. Tetras are amazing and will probable be costed at 100 points soon haha, 80 points is just disgustingly cheap. I've run 3 pairs in some games and their value is amazing.
I played against someone with Tetras, and they felt really strong. I was playing’Nids, because it’s the army I have (mostly given to me, as I’m poor.), despite me actually loving the T’au the most.
Its only one thing that keeps tau competitive 🤣 Full reroll with sustain 2 is deadly, tetras is OC 2 T7 7 wounds its suprisingly durable, its fast 14" can be where you need it and you can have 3 unuts. Shadowsun its only one. Math is ok in this case but we need to remember about positioning, Los. Also tetras are awesome to do action because they spot and do it. As a move block. One of the best utility unit we have in tau.
Yes, that was the point I was trying to make in the middle part of the video: there's a place for shadowsun and stealth (I think broadsides and maybe hammerheads if you're bringing them), but otherwise tetras have so much to offer in those few areas.
Question from new Tau player? Is it possible for Tau to get down to a 2+ to hit? Am I right in thinking you can only benefit/suffer from a single +/-1 to your attack roll. So best you could achieve is +1 from either Guided or remaining Stationary? Maybe I’m missing something!
ummm...what wound reroll of 1's do you think Breachers get? they only get full wound rerolls against targets on objectives. Hammehead with Rail would have made another good 2+ to hit example, especially how the built in reroll somewhat negates either the hit or wound reroll abilties
I think I will be sticking with Tetras and not going with other multi-unit combos. I personally have found that keeping things as simple as possible in game works best in the fast paced small point games I play in my group

definitely. I'm guessing they aren't long for this world though - codex comes out in a few months

Exceptionally good unit, one of the best units in the game and arguably the best FW model currently

yeah, its time for mathhammer 🔨
They will be nerfed in our codex.
Shhh sh sh sh shhhhhh. Just let us have this while it lastsssss
You assume they will make it to the codex
Eh we’ll see! We’re currently one of the most valences factions out there to be honest, but hopefully the tetras stay this way!
@littlefoot4417 only way they don't get nerfed is if the other options get buffed to be equal... Right now Teras are number 1 guiding unit by a mile.
@@Leonix13 but the stealth suit is also a great option but I agree they are the best rn

Sorry, yeah, I misspoke. It’s just the full rerolls

Same, and having a unit I don’t mind not shooting is great for secondaries
15:41 Was there an update to Breachers? I thought they could re roll wounds only when they target something on an objective.
No, I just misspoke after being in the stealth headspace and talking with buddies about similar re-roll rules for other factions recently. My mistake.
As I have said to my friend that plays Nids, if you can get the models, then the unit doesn't exist. Tetras do not exist.
Wartablegames do excellent sculpts of them better than the GW ones I've gotten
@@shekel2356 I'll have to check them out
