  • Zion was the first national park in Utah, established in 1919 to protect the sheer
sandstone cliffs centered around Zion Canyon. At 229 square miles, it's a considered to be
a midsized national park, but one that draws the crowds attracted by its mesmerising , photogenic scenery.
Only 3.5 hours drive from Las Vegas and we are in Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. This 4,000-acre oasis sits right on the border of Zion National Park And this is our home for the next three days.
The main office is located right at the entrance to the Resort. In the same building you can find a souvenir shop and little convenient store where you can buy the necessary things for you stay here . A restaurant is also located in this building. Ponderosa ranch resort provides complimentary breakfasts and also offers lunches and dinners for purchase. The coffee shop is also at your service throughout the day.
Zion Ponderosa offers variety of lodging options; including Vacation Homes, Cabins, Glamping tents, Conestoga Wagons, RV and Tent Campground. That is, here you can find accommodation for every taste.
A small farm with horses, goats and even a small bunny named Jeep is also located on the territory of the ranch. And you can always come here and feed them from your hands.
If you are traveling with children, they will be incredibly happy to visit this little farm.
As I mentioned before the breakfast restaurant located at the main building.
And served complimentary breakfast buffet featuring scrambled eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and assorted bagels and donuts.
Complementary beverages include fresh brewed coffee, juice, and variety of local milk and creamers.
The breakfast buffet is included for all Zion Ponderosa guests staying in Cabins, Glamping and Western Wagons. Other guests can enjoy the breakfast buffet for just $8.49 per person ($4.49/child).
One of the lodging options here is Conestoga wagons and in my opinion they are very very cool, so let's go ahead and explore them!
So just for $159 per night you can Come here and stay in your own Conestoga Wagon patterned on the great pioneer wagons used in the 19th century.
Cowboy Cabins is another lodging option avalaibale for 169$ per night.
Please note that Cowboy Cabins do not have bathroom facilities within the cabin. So guests can use the public restrooms and showers which are literally 1- 2 minute walk from the cabin plaza.
The laundry room is also located in the same building. You can do your laundry here for $1.75 per one load and if you didn't bring your own detergent and softener you can buy it right here from the Laundry Detergent Vending Machine.
The beautiful swimming pool and jacuzzi located Right behind the showers and restroom building. It is a great place to relax around the gorgeously landscaped deck area and Enjoy the warmth of the Jacuzzis after a full day of activities and hiking.
And talking about activities, you’ll never get bored here! Zion Ponderosa offers a vast array of free on spot activities including tennis, sand volleyball , kayaking, paddle boarding and even mini-golf course located right in front the main office building.
If you came here with kids , then believe me, they will never get bored here!
Zion Ponderosa Kid’s Camp will guide your children through a fun day of activities and adventures. Your kids can participate in a variety of recreational activities such as climbing wall, bungee trampoline, zip lining and horseback riding.
And actually horse back riding was our activity for today. Just For $98 per person, you’ll get opportunity to watch the amazing sunset in the mountains of Zion while riding your beautiful horse!
Zion Canyon is the most visited part of Zion National Park and hiking here is perhaps one of the most rewarding things you will ever experience. Zion features over 90 miles of trails that vary in difficulty levels as well as scenic views.
And the rest of the day we spent at the small town Springdale , located immediately outside the boundaries of Zion National Park. Here tourists can visit many souvenir shops, grab a coffee or dine in a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars. We visited several places here, but in this video I will mention just 2 that we liked the most.
First one is the FeelLove coffee located at the Visitor center On the main road to zion park entrance. This coffee shop has not only a huge variety of delicious coffee, but also an exclusive and interesting Medieval interior. And also they have a lovely patio outside where you can enjoy your coffee in the shade of the trees.
And second place called Zion Prospector. It’s Rock, Fossil, Jewelry and souvenir store
Specializing in Utah TiffanyStone and all the great Utah minerals, crystals and fossils.
I definitely recommend to stop here and buy some souvenirs that were discovered and made right here in this beautiful national park.
