I just bought a 2010 dts a couple months ago looks just like this one except i have black interior I got 5% tint all the way around and 35% tint on the windshield. The tint made the car look 10x better!! Would love to find a dts group
@@christianhandal 145K, it started leaking water, then over heating but dealership didnt see it, so I went outside the dealer, i worked for GM/EDS so I can get a car, it just went down hill fast, so any leaks get it someone to look at.
@@christianhandal I blew my motor out at 124,000 I had bought it with only 80,000 miles sad it only lasted me 40,k + miles of use I noticed it burn oil and if needing an oil changes on time was very important with the northstar, you gota pay to play with them
Yeah, you’re right. The new owner of this car still calls me and tells the car is running great and no engine issues or leaks. He told me the 2011 V8 doesn’t have the same issues as the years prior, but he also said he takes really good care of that engine.
Watch the car wizard and other folks. The Northstar is way prone to head bolts popping out and overheating and blown head gaskets. It is not a good engine if you talk to mechanics. In fact you should be able to buy anything with a northstar in it cheap! It's not if it's going to happen it's when. They even have kits to bore out the head bolts and put in new sleeves and bolts
the name is called a "column shifter". After the year 2006 customers had an option to add a bench seat in the front, which allowed for an additional passenger, so because the "floor shifter" could obviously not fit they put the shifter on the steering wheel column instead.
That’s the only thing this car was missing. I can’t believe Cadillac let this car out of the manufacturing plant without the heated/cooled seats for the driver and all the passengers.
@@christianhandal m No they do have them my 06 has them in the front and they have heated in the back I have the luxury three so I have the massage seats in the back as well
This car must not be a premium model then (those are the premium trim level wheels)…it should of had heated and cooled seats…the levels from 09-11 are luxury,premium and platinum…06-08 were luxury 1,2&3, and performance (basically a platinum )…
I've owned 2. First one was sold off with 195k, the second one which I still have has 240k. They both leak oil, but never enough to add between changes. It's all in how you keep them.

I got o8 they have bad oil leaks from oil pan gasket every time
Yeah I heard about that. They said the 2011 they finally changed the design so they didn’t leak like the earlier models.
Only 25% of people maintenance there vehicle after and before never matters what engine they have

That's the earlier ones GM got rid of the torque to yield bolts and started using LS head bolts around 2002, problem solved

With these motors it burns oil naturally its a v8 I say a quart every 500 miles
