Plug the 3.5mm output of DJI mic into mic input jack on hdzero goggles. Set hdzero dvr audio source to line in. There might be some interference from the dji mic on hdzero video if the receiver transmits
I miss audio on my O3 too. What I sometimes do now is just record sound with my phone that lays next to me and use that in the footage. But onboard sound from the quad is nicer imo.
1:18 we need audio feedback in FPV. Makes it 10 times more immersive. Very much needed. DJI O5, Hdzero vtx V3 with audio will be sick and next level in FPV.
Unfortunately DJI is like apple. Where other FPV makers are adding features, DJI are stripping features away. Look at goggles 3, they removed the audio feature present on their previous goggles. They killed support for audio on the previous goggles with a driver update. Goggles 3 lacks hdmi and audio out.

This could also be used on a racing event by hiding it out in the track somewhere to capture audio of the drones zooming around for the livestream. Just gotta make sure you have the range and keep it powered in the field.
@@headsupfpv I've done it with a shotgun mic attached to a track cam pointed towards the launch blocks, but what I hated was getting feedback audio from the PA speaker, so I mute/unmute it for launch.
Sorry I didn't see this prior, but great minds kinda think alike, does the mic mini do onboard recording to sync in post? Then range isn't an issue. Not sure myself as I'm just watching your video. Sounds good 👍

@headsupfpv it will... and get a 3.5mm jack splitter cable, and you should have live drone audio while flying with an earbud

How did you do it? Have an action camera on board ?
@headsupfpv no I used tiny sound recorder. A bit like the dji mic mini, but with internal memory and no transmission. A lot cheaper too.
