meh snorkels kill your intake. the lifted disco at the beginning could've easily made it if he'd gone slowly. water doesn't even reach the grill of the vehicle but this fucking moron thinks it's a good idea to go full ramming speed into water...i'd bet he's just bought the car used and had never gone off-roading in his life.

I used to do a lot of off road driving inc. in competition and that was exactly how NOT to drive in water. Total amatuer. He deserves all he got.
After every mod that he's done to it... He forgot the most important piece for taking it for a dip, the snorkel!

@@JAMESWUERTELE ITs not quite necessary to get over the bonnet. Most cars suck air from the side front pannel, above the wheel. If u dont have a proper wheel arch cover to isolate the water splash from the space that the car uses to suck air, it will suck water.
The best way to cross this things is slow to not overflow the water into the wheel arch.
A lifted disco with all the off road gear (except a snorkel 😂) and he still managed to bin it

Snorkel is good (especially if he remembered axles breathers, etc), but won't prevent various components getting ronnied when he hits the water at 30+mph! 😟

That is what happens when you put a warm air intake on a discovery. Probably would have been okay with the standard air intake or a snorkel.

How is it possible to drown a raised Disco in a puddle like that? Bad driving that's how. I have had none modded land-rovers through deeper water than that. All the gear and no idea.
6:00 this is proper technique, look how low the water level is near the front wheels are (and hence it'll be lower under the engine too)
You will have a far better chance if you push a bow wave like this, too many people go too fast because they are revving the engine, but if you let the clutch slip you can get the right speed and keep the revs up
This is what I keep saying but people on here don't get it. They think as slow as possible without pushing a wave is the way.
@@trainman665 it's a balance but the majority of people are going waaaay too fast.
Like I said there is no fixed speed as waves travel at different speeds in water of different depths, but you just want to be going the same speed as the wave, that way the low is near the intake, but too fast and you'll catch it up and swamp your car.

That disco has one or more bent rods as water won't compress - Revving the nuts of it won't make it "clear" - damage is done ! I am not going to slag him off but he should have thought that one through first.
I once got stuck in one of these. It was shallow in then steep out so I got accross easily. Then coming back it was nose first into it and conked out straight away 😖
