I'm about to buy the Roland TR-8 but while watching your videos I wonder if I could make a real techno Detroit track with Drumbrute. What your opinion would be? Also what would be the pros ad cons for both drum machines?
That was very helpful mate. Band here, we lost our drummer, and we re thinking of switching to drum machines. A question: Each part, let's say from the 4 you created, how long can it be? They seem to be short, that's why I'm asking. In a band situation the intro could be like a minute, verse 45 secs, chorus something similar etc :)
Do I have to pre-program the whole song or can I switch between patterns on the fly? When I’m actually doing my set I’m not always sure how many bars of each pattern I wanna do before I move on, so sometimes I do -say- 8 bars of pattern one, but sometimes I let it play for 16, so I wanted to know how to switch between patterns “live” (I don’t own the drumbrute just researching to see if I should)
Hos long can each pattern be? I am coming from the Korg EMX-1 which allows you to chain waaaay more patterns together and Im worried that the type of music my band plays, 16 pqtterns wont be nearly long enough. Is it possible to save a rock song thats about 6 minutes long and a tempo of 140 bpm for instance? Thanks.
@@baudelaire6647 just hit shift and the arrows from pattern lenght (16-32-48-64) then its done. To program it press the arrows and insert Kick, hihats, etc. I dont have the Drumbrute anymore but you can find videos of it on yt easily. UA-cam "Drumbrute pattern lenght"
How long can you make a song? I tried programming one song and I quickly run out of patterns, one pattern 8 times, another pattern 8 times, first pattern 8 times... and you've pretty much run out of executable patterns.
I second this! I bought this specifically to be able to create a few backing tracks and be able to fiddle on the fly as well... but can't find much info out there of how to really utilise the song mode well yet. I am assuming that an option could be making the tempo half time, so say take 100bpm to 50bpm and then that way all loops will be much longer, so if you were repeating a pattern 4 times you would only need to twice or something like that! But yet to see a really good in depth video on the drumbrute yet! Little bits and pieces everywhere haha! Probably cause it can do so much in so many different ways.
@@spudthompson1434 shit!! did any of you guys find out how to make longer patterns???? i thought maybe the directions arrows with the 16, 32,48,64 numbers have something to do with this but i dont know a shit. please let me know if you finally get over this problem!
you use the arrows to scroll through the pages. so the first page is steps 1-16, second page is 17-32, etc. then you have to hold down the "Last Step" button and scroll to the page you want and press the button for the step you want to be your last. As for longer songs, you can't. Maximum of 16 patterns linked, which is crap.
Finally something that makes sense on how to use song mode. Thank for posting this!
Thanks for watching!
Clear and helpful, thanks🎉
Let me know if you want me to cover a different function of the Arturia DrumBrute. Thanks for watching!
This was really really helpful! thanks
Thanks for watching!
Arturia's synth sounds is also really cool‼️
Wonderful instruments.
Fantastic

Can you write songs that are more than 16 patterns long?
1:53 Ice Ice baby !

How can I make the song longer than 16 patterns because it seems like the songs will all be really short
sweet! is it just me or does anyone else feel like the drumbrute is a hardware version of ReDrum from Reason?

Each pattern 64 steps! And you Can have 16 patterns of 64 steps per song!
@@MicaelAzevedo how in the fucking world do you do that? i can only program 16 patterns of 16 steps!!!
