- Lets take this awesome self propelled artillery and destroy everything with it. I wanted to shoot at the ai tbh... But I usually get destroyed by their aircraft. So, in this situation, I spawned my tank inside. The aircraft also didn't exist...

Custom Creative Mode

Career Survival mode
Career mode focuses on progression and an overarching plot of starting your own search and rescue service from humble beginnings and building it up to cover the entire Stormworks world map. You will have to manage your finances, build space, and your own safety as you complete various missions to finance larger, more complex vehicles and new land bases.
Survival difficulty options
Survival difficulty options add an extra level of difficulty to your search and rescue operation with the most in depth and advanced game features including: advanced engine and fuel mechanics, LUA based micro controllers, vehicle damage, spreadable fire, and a variety of player damage types that can result in player deaths including:
fall / impact damage
fire damage
prolonged exposure to the sea resulting in hypothermia
mechanical damage (rotor blades)
water pressure damage
...and sharks!
Construct vehicles by placing blocks in a rich editing suite, customize them with your own design and program their behaviour using the powerful in-game logic system. Choose from a wide array of components to assemble your own rescue helicopters, boats, submersibles and more…
Take to the sea, land or sky in your newly created vehicle. Navigate through over 15,000 square kilometres of ocean and islands in an amazingly dynamic world. Players will need to ensure that they create the right vehicle for the job as every mission is unique.
Design specific vehicles to respond to challenging missions across open oceans, island facilities, remote rigs and more. Introducing the more environmentally friendly M109 Self-Propelled Artillery. Now powered through the courtesy of Fred's two feet.
The reason there is a hole in the bottom is that the seats are quite tall in Stormworks and they don’t have a reclined driving position. This means you have to improvise like this for tank drivers, especially small tanks.
Also having the engine to the side of the driver instead of the back isn’t too uncommon, with stuff like the Marder IFV, TAM mbt, AMX-13, and BMP IFV using this design

Oh, this is the Flintstone's M109 Paladin. You power it with your feet. But you take over islands by standing in those control trucks you keep hiding under forever. Like the open back ones with the radios in them. You look at them and they'll say "Capturing X%" you wait for it to be 100 and it's yours.
I got to say I love the m109 paladin especially since I got to see one live fire today for the first time and see one in stormsworks makes incredibly happy
I think the laser rangefinder automatically aims the gun since the gun moved a bit when you turned it on

Loved the video @Frantic! The M109 Paladin has a 155 Millimeter Gun that can fire a Round from about 18.5 Miles (29.77 Kilometers) away. It first made it's debut during the Vietnam War and continues to see service with the Armed Forces today, as well as being exported to many NATO members or even other countries looking to augment their Army's Inventory. The One here might've been one of the M109A4's used by the Royal Canadian Army, which replaced them with the M109A4B in the 1980's. You probably should've gone inside the AI ship just to see how bad the interior looked LMAO!

That's a fairly accurate paladin model. Just one thing, they are not tanks. They are self propelled howitzers with zero armor.

My only issue is that the AI dont seem to rely on radar or sonar. they seem to just track player location regardless of anything. I got 150 meters under in a sub and had aircraft just fly overhead and start shooting and sinking me as if they could see me clear as day.
that is because everyone knows that the ocean is soooo clear and clean

i have a challenge for you frantic, make a tank using the birtha cannon but keep the size down to 100x50x30 blocks so 100 long, 50 wide and 30 tall, additional challenges: add a small automatically reloading and aiming and firing machine gun turret, make an auto load system for the tank but keep the tank functional, make the tank fast and controllable,use a small or medium engine, make it amphibious, make it self caring(fire,damage, jammed system,etc), make blast armor(armor that is on the outside that falls off if damaged too much that has a large gap between it and the inner armor), make tread protectors, fill the back with a compact mobile base inside, put a deployable silo with ammo and stuff in the back, increase each of the size values by 20 or less blocks and put a humvee or separate emergency vehicle in it. I look forward to seeing something like this or at least a tank with the bertha cannon on it.

I will take a second comment to point out while the guns are all kind of universal, they do have some projectile weight to them. Like the Bertha, artillery, and heavy auto cannon rounds all fall faster than their counter parts, but the fact that they all still fire in a way that we'll never see their max range is a bit absurd. We need some kind of adjustable propellant rounds like IRL. Like we put in the projectile head (AP, HESH, HE, Incendiary, or whatever) and then we put in bags of propellant (another hand held item like coal) or we load the shells with bags of propellant up to 5 bags or something and that increases or decreases the range of the shot depending on how much we put in.
I'm just asking for this because it's ridiculous that the only major differences between the battle, artillery, and bertha cannons are the size, the time it takes to load the rounds, the bigger the gun the more the round drops after a certain distance, and the damage they deal on impact. But all 3 of them have the same projectile speed, which is very abnormal going from an AT field gun to a howitzer.
But wouldn't the difference in drop rate be a result of a difference in projectile speed? That's how it works in real life: everything falls at the same speed, faster moving projectiles move farther in the time it takes the projectile to fall so they impact higher.

Oh,your legs are sticking out, because the creator tried to make the 1st person view realistic and functional, without changing the bank's look. In reality, tanks are pretty low -laying.
