so sincerely beautiful, what a joy to hear . thank you for the record and sharing. I live in rural Wisconsin and videos like this may be the closest live I will experience. Lankum is such a favorite of mine. Cheers!
I played in a session with these musicians donkeys years ago in Drogheda shortly before they became a group. Believe me they are well able to play (pure) Irish trad if they want.
I return again and gain to Hunting the Wren. Today it reminded me of early encounters with the music of The Velvet Underground. so very long ago. Is that so strange?
Unfortunately had to miss their recent Manchester gig through illness but pray that I will be able catch them next time around. Traditional Irish music meets The Velvet Underground. This is as good as music gets
How bad musicians try to hide their unabilities to play properly traditionnal irish intruments by a supposed experimental approach...let time work and I bet they will reach quickly their own limits. Lankum irish music for whom does not try by lack of time or courage to listen a better Irish Music. Une musique pour "bobos" So funny !!!

putting the "We Work the Black Seam" lyrics into "Pride..." was genius.
