Yep this is is the best. I run the 2 section elevate the invert60 ball and the revise battery pack. For tournament hunts it dont get any better. I got mine first and all my hunting buddies got the same setup soon after. One thing to add that wasnt covered here is these ballheads will will work with arca or pic rails.
I went with the Vortex Radiant and purchased both heads. In the end I chose Vortex for the Warranty since I had to purchase without seeing. I’d like to try the fat boy down the road for sure. Wish someone carried them so I could see one in person. Great video.
@Nocturnalsandthermals Vortex is very well known for their unconditional warranty. They have a great reputation for replacing or repairing if something breaks- no matter what happened or how. Not to say that Fatboy's isn't the same, just that they don't have the reputation or track record yet. So, if they're the same price and similar quality, Vortex will take the win for a lot of people JUST because their warranty.
I have two of them, definitely the best tripods I have owned. Had some issues with legs getting loose, had two re-torque and locktite the bolts and never a issue again and that goes for all the tripods I have owned did the same thing. I run the invert 60 heads due to hunting in the mountains and need that extra mobility. Very informative video as always!
haha, I'm laughing cuz I just saw your other video that you posted a year ago about the 2 Vets. I'm not knocking you, just thought it was funny that you're now talking and praising the FBs! I also have FBs and got both the Elevate 2 and 3 section. I did A LOT of research, and by that I mean watching YT videos on all the different tripods, and finally settled on the FBs. I'm with you, I think they are The BEST tripods right now for shooting and glassing! Who cares that they're not made here, like you mentioned to the other guy if they were made here they'd be like $1500! I absolutely love my FBs. They're super solid and just overly built, and excellently built too. Just from a design standpoint, this tripod has a lot of good and smart designs from all the accessory ports, non-crossing legs, bottom hook, ratcheting locking arm, built-in spikes, and just badass looking! They're heads are just as amazing! I got both the Invert 60 and Levitate and I have no complaints on either of them. I didn't think I would like having just one adjustment knob on the Invert 60, but after using it I absolutely love it! No more dealing with separate knobs for pan and tilt! And that Levitate, man who knew you could get such a rock solid lock-up with that short throw! Fricken amazing! Good video man!
Nice review. The only question I have is, can you adjust the height of the legs at any height, or do you have to extend the legs out fully to lock them in place?
@OwnTheHunt of cool. Does the barrel of a cross screw in like a reg barrel or differently? I thought I saw somewhere where It was different, but I wasnt paying super close attention.
@@jrbullockit’s quite different. There are some special tools you need to do a barrel swap on one. There are some amazing aftermarket “pre fit” barrels being made for them. Check out straight jacket armory
@OwnTheHunt Very cool. I just bought a zermatt origin action, proof ss prefit barrel in 6.5cm and an mdt acc elite chassis. I've heard good things about proofs stainless prefits so we will see
Made in the USA and cheaper are never going to be in the same sentence sadly. If these were made in the US they would cost $1500 and even more people would complain they were too expensive.
@OwnTheHunt two vets is not only more supportive an finer adjustments its lighter on the ball head price is similar and the money goes to veterans and is american owned
I am not impressed I own two of them. They are very fucking loud. Do not get them Dusty. I live in Iowa. Travel a lot of gravel and let me tell you what they are fucking loud. You better carry a can of WD-40 with you and they are not smooth. Do I have to post a video?
I bought an innorel gt324 tripod with a sunwayfoto ball head It is a beast. Very happy!
Those are decent tripods. Not even in the same ball park as fatboy but they are definitely good for the money.
@OwnTheHunt I am just starting out. Maybe when I have a couple dozen coyotes down I can upgrade.
@ there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that man! Those tripods will work well for you! Good luck it’s definitely an addiction!

What was vortex warranty vs fat boys lifetime warranty?

I didn’t know what I was missing when i reviewed that two vets 😂
Yep definitely best on the market I use 2 section elevate with level head I think they call it.
@@Trapper-tr3sd great setup!
I've got a fatboy 3 PC and a warrior 2 PC. I use the fatboy for day hunts when I'm sitting down and the warrior for night hunts. Both are great
Nice review. The only question I have is, can you adjust the height of the legs at any height, or do you have to extend the legs out fully to lock them in place?
Any height they can be locked in place. You don’t need to use the full range of motion
Im with ya on this one and the ball head is where it's at.
Great review, and great tripods!
What chassis is that. I saw a rifle that looked like that in my gun shop
It’s actually just an sig cross rifle.

Sure wish I had the money to buy one !
Manfrotto had twist out spiked feet like 15 years ago, not really a new thing.
@@orthchris does manfroto make a shooting/hunting tripod?
@ they do, the Alpha S.H.O.T. series.
@ thing is junk! I wouldn’t want to hunt from that!
@ I didn’t say it was any good. But they were the innovators of it on tripods, not Fatboy.
I wish they was made in USA and they where cheaper to buy
