I bought the Therabody RecoveryAir JetBoots. They worked for 2 days and then the power would come on, but they would not start. They were paired and the app on my phone recognized them. I tried to contact Therabody and they only do chat and have no one that can help you with the product. I am so frustrated. I will never buy a Therabody product again. I also did not have the split charger. Could only charge 1 boot at a time.

Great comparison review thanks. Real shame you didn't include the Sharper Image Air Boots as they are half the price than the cheapest ones you review here and by all accounts they hold up rather well, but maybe you can refresh this since it's over a year old now.
Great stuff. Definitely helped with my decision making. Would love to see a similar comparison with compression boots that just cover the lower 1/2 the leg. For example, spryng's, google sprynme, and ifitking's cordless rechargeable foot leg massager, ft-059a, are two that I looked at. It may need to be preceded with a video beforehand on whether they are effective before wasting time reviewing for comparison. Why buy one of these when I just bought some compress boots?
- Looking for something portable to put on immediately after a tennis match or workout. - Small enough that I can bring with me to the tennis court or for traveling by airplane. - Something I can use in the confines of a small car. - Something that is comfortable enough to fall asleep while wearing. - Boots like Spring's are appealing because I can still walk around or drive. - Boots like Fit King's are appealing because it does the foot as well.
Hey man! Love your reviews on UA-cam as I am in the market for compression boots. Curious to know, as the normatec 2.0 price has dropped to $699. Which would you recommend, Normatec 2.0 or the therabody recovery prime, with both being at $699?
It means that each air chamber closer to your core the pressure is 1mmHg less. This is important because it ensures all fluids are flowing back toward your core and there is no opportunity for back flow toward your feet. Think of it as directional pressure versus one universal pressure - if you squeeze something with more pressure on one side, it will go in the opposite direction versus if you squeeze something equally/evenly, it will go in multiple directions. Hope that analogy makes sense.
Cannot help but notice you tested variations on a few brands. And ignored several others. Question: were you paid by these companies to give a review? Because I bought your highest rated boot, and found the compression weak. Then the air leak light became illuminated. Returned them to Best Buy. Found your review cursory, incomplete, and left wondering if it was on the up-and-up.
I am struggling to choose, the Normatec 3 and the Therabody prime air is now on sale. If you had to choose one, regardless of the price, which one would you pick?
Hi and thank you for this great video. I'm a step aerobic instructor in the market to purchase a recovery boot set. Can you please recommend the set(s) I should consider?
rapid reboot hits 200mmHg. normatec, therabody, etc max out at 100mmHg. the deflate feature on the rapid reboot is awesome, price is now $995 for rapid reboot which is competitive with the others
Do any of these boots let you configure how long they hold pressure? The ones I've tried, they let go of pressure after 5-10 seconds, which is shorter than I prefer. Thanks!
So this is my only complaint is the fact that you did a review of 3 different RecoveryAir boots, but did not once do a review on the Reathlete air compression leggings (in case you're wondering, yes Amazon does sell them so that's an oversight on your part).
Strictly based on my scoring system the 2.0 ranks higher, with the main thing making it rank higher being it’s priced under $1,000. Depending on what specs you value it could be perceived that the 2.0 pro is “better”. In terms of overall value (focusing on average viable features), which my scoring system optimizes for, the 2.0 is “better”.
@@BestMassageTech I ordered the 2.0 pro myself. Waiting on them to arrive. Do you know how to tell the difference between the boots? Or are they exact same, with the only difference being in the device unit itself ? If so, how can I tell if the set is the pro or not? Apart from it being written on the box ofc
@@banned_user I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The boots are the same. The only difference is the unit itself. The units are slightly different looking. The 2.0 has grey buttons and the pro is a smooth all black interface.
Do you know if these boots come in different lengths or if they continue to work if not zipped up fully? Or do you have any recommendations for those who are vertically challenged?
If you’re looking for shorter pairs, consider getting a brand that allows you to deactivate chambers. Then you can deactivate the one closest to your core and unzip them to the desired length.
Normatec 3 is the worst of them. They have reduced the pressure and the compression effect does not exist. My athletes use pressure between 140 and 170. Normatec reach a maximum of around 100 or 110. It's so low that they removed the information about the pressure. Try Avanutri with 8 chambers and up to 260mmHg pressure. This really works for athletes with large muscle mass.
@@haroldpinteresque4460 There are no leaks. Normatec's technical specification is a maximum pressure of 100, which does not work for athletes. If anyone has any doubts, offer the athlete a higher compression and you will notice that they will not want to go back to 100.
@@BestMassageTech i have watched many of your videos and each and every time there is a comparison between Therabody and Hyperice you always find a way to lean towards TB....

I concur with your assessment. Many brands ignored.

We love our AIR RELAX , After sales was great. Customer service is superb!!
Can you do cheap ones like Quinear and fitking to these top ones from like hyperice and therabody

there's a voice that the pressur must be higher than 120mmHg, is that correct?
Please can you make a video about which one is the best for people suffering from RLS? Thank you.
How does the Leg Compression System by Vive Health compare to these compression systems?
Should I get the therabody jet boots or the normatec pulse 2.0? I need something that I can easily travel with too

do these compresone boots help shin splint and leg cramping in the middle of night

No, unfortunately not
What about the super cheap ones any videos on them
Agree. GThis review seems incomplete.
What compression boots are the quietest in your opinion? I have rapid reboot, but it's gotten louder and louder with time.
What does negative pressure gradient mean and why is it important?
It means that each air chamber closer to your core the pressure is 1mmHg less.
