@@ModItBetter Thanks to you, cheers man :)
i opened it up and the scroll wheel broke a little on the side and a little piece is stuck inside - rip mouse 2019-2020
crappy ,got to wonder how cheap the plastic is even getting for that to happen
@@ModItBetter nah I have a glorious model d and the same thing happened to mine.
I've been using it for about 2-3 years though so that probably has to do with it..
A small chunk of the plastic got stuck inside and the other part isn't connected. So now I probably have to glue the two pieces together and see if that works..
@@truestrose234 Hi i did a quick google and found somebody said the deathadder scroll wheel might fit
here is a link so you can check out the pictures of the wheel.. No idea about the seller or if it will actually fit your mouse..

Holy crap. It actually fixed it. Thank you
your welcome.. And thanks for leaving a success comment..
the metal piece on the left is not connected I see the problem but when I put it together it just wont scroll kinda frustrated so please get back to me on it
so the metal thing broke off the traces on the bottom? You will need to put the variable back in place.. and scrap around the pads until you see copper and re solder it on. or put in place glue it and attach wires to each leg and find a new location to solder to.
You can always take a pic and send it to bangs696969@gmail.com or post it here . it will just be flagged until it pops up in my spam folder on yt
OMG tysm it worked first try I thought I’d have to get a new mouse ty
your welcome.. and thanks for leaving a success comment =)
the scroll wheel down of my model o feels really stiff in comparison to scrolling it up and it wasn't like that when i got it. Do you reckon this would fix the issue?
Hi I don't think this will help that issue ..however if you can safely take it apart i would check for a hair all caught up in the wheel and maybe inside the variable.
@@ModItBetter thank you will do
blowing it worked already omg tysm

@゚ ゚ ゚ ゚ ゚ thanks as well for taking time to post a comment..
Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it but there is no screw under my mouse and if I blow into it, it doesn't work. Pls help me
Hi , you will have to figure out how to open it . you might have to pry the 2 parts apart. But you also might cause more damage.
make sure to see the rubber did not come off the wheel and is just free spinning.
No way! thx i just pushed the wheel to the right and it started working.
heh.. Cool glad it worked out for you and thanks for taking time to leave a comment..
How the hell you're looking at that led turned on?
heh..It was not that bright i think the camera making it look a tad brighter. Also all i have in my house now are led lights so maybe getting use to being blind every once in awhile..lol
I purchased a new mouse, its redragon mouse, after i plug it the wheel does not work after 5-10 seconds,if i unplug and plug it works again for some seconds
Other ppl have the same issue with this redragon mouse
@@martex6977 I have a couple Redragon M908 in my house I have not ran into that issue with them .. If you got it from amazon I would just return it. ,if its a known issue with a hardware bug. Try to contact support at redragon and see if they will ship you a new one...
redragon support page is here ..might help
redragonshop.com/pages/contact-us
I'm not sure if that mouse has a media mode .. Some mice if you hold the dpi button down in converts the mouse into a media mouse.. however I believe the volume should move up and down with the scroll wheel only... ..
If you can't return it ..You could just buy another one and switch it out as defective if redragon won't help you.
out of curiosity what model is it? I can try to look around later.. Its possible its a bad trace but if its a new mouse its not worth taking apart to find out as that will wreck your warranty.
@@ModItBetter its redragon M607
Also i cannot return it:((for now is working again

You solve my problem. Thanks
Thanks muhammad for taking time to leave a success comment..
i have same Mouse, it on but it stop working, what can i do please?
the mouse does not work at all? if so most likely its the cable.. If just the bottom does not work at all then the wheel might be broken or the encoder / variable is dirty or defective.
I bought a new mouse and the scrool wheel dont work and i blowing didn't work and i dont have screw driver and glue so i was wondering If i can glue it with a tape
Hi make sure your mouse does not have media mode and disables the wheel.. besides that check to see if the rubber on the wheel is glued down and does not free spin on the wheel. .. If neither of those are your issues you will have to return it or open it up. It might very well be defective.
@@ModItBetter when i put the wheel to right side it sounds and presses like when you Press middle mouse button
When I scroll my mouse downward it will scroll down the page but then all of a sudden starts scrolling back upward while I'm still scrolling down, does the same thing while scrolling up. Do you have any recommendations?
try to blow in it..if it fixes it then u might have to fallow the video. Its what my mouse was doing as well.. going up and down when moving it downwards ect..
@@ModItBetter Unfortunately none of the methods worked but the nail polish does help tighten the wheel if it is loose.
@@mateopiliero5596 the only other options are to take the variable apart and clean it but that involves soldering and patience taking it apart and the gamble of not breaking it completely . or finding a donor one in another cheaper mouse.... when you were pushing the variable like in the video did it all help? maybe check for bad solder joints on the pins for the variable(broken pad lifting off the board) as well doubtful but worth looking at if its already apart ..
My mouse won’t scroll the left side piece of the wheel seems broken
you mean the metal thing it slides into // encoder or variable..
If it is that you can move it side to side and see if it has come off the traces on the other side ... also try to push it towards the wheel and spin the wheel to see if it works.. besides that you would have to get the numbers off of it and see if you could find replacement or take it apart and see if you can fix it. might be just really dirty inside .. Now if its the plastic part of the wheel that broke off .. all you can really do is see if u can glue the broken piece back on or find a wheel that will fit..
His voice is like HEDWIG from SPLIT :)
Well thank you for the comment . All the voices out there ya landed on me sounding like Hedwig .. lol.
i legit spent 2 years with this problem, i blow into the scroll wheel for like 10 seconds and it works perfectly smh
lol... cool it worked out for ya.. happy scrolling..
Wow blowing on it actually fixed it XD
thanks for leaving a success comment..
Pov you punched your 80$ gaming mouse 😢
What will i don if i don't have an nail poolish ?
not sure what else you can use .. crazy glue maybe if you let dry solid.
havent bought a mouse like this but if the scroll wheel goes boom then i will surely try this gg for making this video
p.s you earned a sub
Thanks Fluent_Pika.... gl with your channel as well.
nah these comment gotta be fake or something. everyones saying that just blowing air into the scroll wheel just fixed it but it doesnt do anythiung for me like wtf
hi it actually does work if your having the same problem.. but for me on that style of mouse was only a temp fix worked maybe a day or 2. But after i pushed the encoder over and glued into place it worked fine.
besides that the encoder can be full of hair ect.. couple of ppl had the rubber that goes around the wheel was actually free spinning or it could just be broken some other way. But blowing actually really works on most scroll wheel problems as your blowing out the hair and dirt from the encoder.. Sadly that is not your issue with a easy fix.
BREHHHH why do i keep finding this things i need help with my mouse it dislocated the whole scroll wheel
Most likely its because once the wheel is broken you can't really put it back on unless you find the piece that broke and glue it back on.. but that might not hold long..
my mouse doesn't have screws on them :(
You might have to pry the 2 parts apart with a small flat screwdriver . However you might do more damage to your mouse in the process where it won't go back together . If its a more expensive mouse you can try to google the name of it example .."razer mouse disassembly"
thank you so much
and thank you for taking time to leave a comment.. glad it helped out.
I kept waiting for you after you said you're going to fix it, to pull out a hammer and smash it and say "Buy a new one!"
lol i remember a really old youtube video of guy showing how to fix a tv lcd.. and 100 percent what he had done heh..
my mouse wheel for some reason turns the higher or lower but won't any othey thing than that
I'm not sure what you mean .. it scrolls up and down.. but won't click?
@@ModItBetter it does click but i fixed the problem already so the problem i had before I fixed that the scroll wheel was changing the volume but but any other thing so i had to unplug and plug in again
@@pearlduz ah weird .. if you have a dpi button on your mouse.. it might change it to control the volume if you hold it for 3 seconds or more,. Next time it does it try to hold the dpi button down for 3 seconds to see if it fixes it... maybe its sticking.
Some mice have 2 modes. normal and media
@@ModItBetter ok
My scroll wheel doesn’t even work help
It could be just broken .. the first thing you can check is to see if the rubber on the wheel is not free spinning.. besides that you will have to open up and see if its broken some how.. move the variable or the sensor for the wheel slightly back and forth and see if the pins on the other side have broken from the trace...You can sorta test that by moving the wheel up and down while putting slight pressure on a angle usually to the left, if you get movement with the scroll wheel it might be that.
Could also be a build up of hair around the wheel
I should note.. before taking it apart , If you can test it in another computer to confirm its not the o.s somehow.. Or something to do with software that might of came with your mouse that can disable the scroll wheel for other functions like media control
I got angry in minecraft and hit my mouse and broke the scroll wheel and I’m 12 so I don’t know what to do can you help it’s not stiff it feels like a small wheel it doesn’t scroll anymore
You probably broke the pegs on both side of the wheel.. ..if only those broke you might be able to crazy glue them back on. You will have to open it up and see the damage..
It’s a version tech mouse with no screw holes
@@mythicalpaprika0000 the screws are probably hidden under the sticker or the pads. If its your only mouse at the moment you might not want to take it apart in case you break it more.
ModItBetter I’ve checked under stickers and no screw hole and this is not my mouse it’s my bros but he doesn’t use it but it’s fine I only use it for minecraft I can use numbers
@@mythicalpaprika0000 yeah might be best not to try then.. I'm sure you could pry it apart they used clips I guess. however you might break the clips trying to get it apart.. then have to tape it all up ect..
thanks
Np Lester .. and thanks for taking time to leave a comment..
@@ModItBetter it took me a couple of tries in disasembling the thing but it worked at the end :)
bruh my mouse it self was fine but it was the case that was causing the problem
how so? somebody posted that the rubber that goes around the wheel was his problem.. It was free spinning lol.... how is your case affecting it .. ? pushing it the wrong way or rubbing? I'm just curious so later in life i can add that to the list of things to check when helping people in the comments..
@@ModItBetter idk man i removed the case on top and it worked just fine. now i unscrewed the 2 screws on the top so now it works just fine. but im going to be upgrading my mouse to g703 lightningspeed soon so it doesnt rlly matter to much
@@Magenta3377 cool well thanks for leaving a reply regardless... I have not used my mx5000 in years now .. ever since i got some disconnects during clutches in fps , keyboard did it as well..... sooooo hard to go back..I'm sure they are 10000 times better now ..Be nice not to have the cable hung up on things again.. anyways gl with your new mouse..
I don't have hot glue...tell me what I have to do ??
well move the variable over like i did in the video and see if that actually helps you.. if no glue you can try roll small piece of cardboard or something and wedge? you can usually get hotglue gun and sticks from dollar stores
thanks man blowing air worked
Your welcome ..and thanks for taking time to leave a success comment..
how to buy new scroll wheel for gamming mouse
hi I have never done that .. so your best bet is to google "replacement wheel for mouse" ali and ebay have some ..but to find the one that matches yours might be hard, unless they are all basically made from one place..
actually i just tried replacement razor mouse scroll wheel and got lots of hits heh.. so yeah if yours is a name brand you might be able to find one.. Encoders are pretty cheap as well..However you have to know how to solder..
i have a work one none work
how does putting hot glue fix it?
Hi in my case because it did not rip off the trace on the bottom . it centers the variable for the wheel axis . You can simply try to push the variable and spin the wheel to see if it helps.. Most likely during the manufacture assembly they push and bend the legs while putting in the wheel. Now if it does work by pushing it, The hot glue simply keeps it in place.. a folded up piece of cardboard or anything else that can be stuck in that spot would have the same effect ..
@@ModItBetter oh i see.. i guess my problem is the encoder itself. Cuz it's really loose and jumpy. I might just solder it and replace or just buy a new mouse.
@@kgt8742 crappy.. well good luck on fixing if you go that route.. You could try to take the encoder apart and see what failed if you can pinch back together .. .... or if it is a broken trace under it.. ect.. sorta curious on what failed..
thanks man
np.. hopefully it helped you out..
it worked kinda it ty but when i was playing a game it was kind alike not working
tysm
update i just had too do it longer
@@spideye8115 .. ah ok .. like I said in my other comment you might have to move the encoder if it keeps happening every 20 or so mins.. ..
bro please helpme. mouse doesnt have screws. im screwed up
yeah sadly if no screws under the pads or stickers..you will have to stick a flat screwdriver on the side or back then pry the 2 halfs apart. work around 3 sides most likely the front might still have hooks., however if you break the clips your mouse probably won't go back together again.
@@ModItBetter thanks for replying to a twelve year old idiot. But anyway I had a super old Logitech mouse(very old where there is a ball instead of sensors. I knew how it works. But it had some problems. Now I'm proud that I fixed it.
@@6px Cool that you stuck with it. what was the problem dust and hair? Those old ones were pretty good for tracking up dirt heh.
My scroll wheel doesn't work at all it just spins
Hi could be the variable resistor/ Rotary Encoder is broken or the wheel. you would have to open it up to see if its something simple
I literally just fixed my wheel with this issue. I have a Red Dragon Centrophorus. So basically what happened to mine is that the rubber wheel on the plastic housing on the inside started to loose its grip and then the rubber just slides on the plastic without actually turning the plastic housing (which is needed to control the scroll function). So all you have to do; is really carefully, apply some glue between the wheel and the rubber just so that they stick together. So many thats the same problem you're having on your mouse.
@@cameronfell4415 Cool thanks Cameron Fell for taking time to share your fix.. I would of never thought of that one.. If you re post a new comment I can pin it as well . In case other ppl have the same issue..
@@ModItBetter no problem ma dude.
i got the exact mouse but it doesnt work
sorry it didn't work out for you.. ..
i should try this , i have the same mouse
if its the same mouse and you have the same issue it will probably help you out.. However take more time then i did taking off the pads so you can re use them.
@@ModItBetter it's really helped me, thank you
didn't watch the rest of the vid blowing hard worked for me what the fuck. Thank you gaming mouse prices are bullshit and this mouse is fine minus the wheel problem
thanks for the success post.. yeah gaming mice are sorta bs.. You really have to do research on them.. You can find a webpage that lists which sensors come in a mouse.. so say a 200 dollar mouse can have the same sensor in a 30 dollar mouse!!! .. and its all about the sensor the rest is glam ....well unless the mouse is square or something heh.... I ended up getting a cheap razor for 30ish..however the 300mb software I did not install ..seeing to me the software should be no bigger then 1meg and 2 meg at most..
@@ModItBetter My mouse is a cheap cyberpower one and despite all these name brand reviews talking "legit" gaming mouses up I constantly feel fine with mine, again minus that wheel problem I had. Looks like the gaming scene as a whole is filled with overpricing because I've heard about gaming chairs all being made from the same place and branding deciding the price. Be careful out there guys they want us for all we've got
I need optical mouse T9 scroll wheel
who makes it? because i tried to look around for you and lots of company's have "t9" in the name
@@ModItBetter OPTICAL MOUSE T9
my mouse wont scroll, even i move it it dosent scroll,
crappy . one person found that the rubber grip actually came off and was free spinning on the wheel.. doubt its that but worth a check .. besides that. It might be the variable/ or encoder , same location the wheel rests in Is defective. or dirty. You can also check for broken traces by moving the variable/encoder gently side to side and watch the 3-4 solder joints on the bottom to see if they move. .
Hot glue means super glue or another some glue 🤔
lol noooooo .. hot glue = hot glue..its meant to push against the encoder/variable after it cools, using a piece of cardboard or something as a wedge might work as well.
@@ModItBetter ok yhank you !
My scroll wheel doesn't even move
u mean the wheel it self is jammed or nothing happens at all when u move it? ... One person in the comments had a issue with the rubber just spinning on the wheel ..but that is sorta noticeable ..
also it could be stuck in media mode depending what kind of mouse you have.. but that would turn the volume up and down usually.. besides that wheel is broken/clogged with hair..ect..
keeps working then stopspls help
is that with the blowing trick?... If so you might have to move the encoder/variable like i show in the video. and if that only works for awhile then the encoder/variable has to be taken apart and cleaned or replaced..
thxxxxxx
omg blowing fixed it
thanks for posting a success comment.. Glad you were able to fix your problem..
Its hard to scroll
you might just have hair wrapped around the scroll wheel?
I love you, kiss me (jk)
Thx you so much!!!!
lol ..your welcome..happy gaming .. =)
Idk why
U gotta push
my guess is during the manufacture/ assembly they push the scroll wheel in moving the variable off center. or just during wear and tear and pushing down the the scroll wheel causes the variable to off center.
didnt work :(
crappy ... ..If you happen to figure out the issue with yours and you got time let me know how you did it.. Might help others.. Most likely you will have to get a new mouse though..
