- Part 12 of 13 for completing the Halo 2 LASO playlist in the Master Chief Collection which will grant you the "Back for More" achievement.
Level - High Charity
Difficulty - Legendary
Skulls - Skulls will automatically be selected when you select the Halo 2 LASO playlist. They are as follows: Anger, Assassin, Black Eye, Blind, Catch, Famine, Ghost, Grunt Birthday Party, Iron, IWHBYD, Mythic, Sputnik, That's Just...Wrong, and Thunderstorm.

I love how I watch these fully knowing I'm never going to do them.
I said the same thing, and am caught up now. It definitely sucks, and there are days I am stuck on the same part (fuck you sniper jackals). But if you watch the tips he gives, it's a pretty straightforward experience. After a while you'll learn the level/spawns and just rush through yourself. I'd definitely start with besting legendary under 3 hours though to get practice and learn the levels, a lot of similar strategies are used between the two. I'm just hoping to get this done and never have to think about doing it again.
Source: I have more D thank K in my KD, and am only Rank 2 on MP. A crowning achievement was me finishing first in a matchmade game. I suck, it just takes practice and repetition.
More people have beat halo 2 laso than beat it under 3 hours probably because of how long gravemind and regret take alone.

@@True2ChainzLilWayne not true, that's because of the checkpoint sharing exploit that was in mcc for years which let you get the achievement even though you didn't do the whole game on laso. No exploit of that caliber exists for the speedrunning achievements

I'm sure you've heard this a lot but the strategies for completing these levels are just incredible. I dont think I'll ever attempt LASO (I mean maybe I will since these guides make it look a lot more doable) but just seeing what you do for each mission is really entertaining. Keep up the great work Silver!
I beat H2 on vanilla legendary and now H3 feels like heroic because of the broken difficulty
Halo 3 legendary feels like normal with the anger skull and thunderstorm skull(basically any skull that boosts enemy stats by a little)
After playing Halo 2 LASO, vanilla Legendary feels easy just because of recharging shields LOL

I'm giving up on the 2x over shield at the beginning, I've been trying to melee those carriers for half an hour and I haven't gotten it once 🤣
I did Cairo station in 4 hours 12 minutes so I 1/12th of the way there
Good news and bad news. The bad is you're only 1/13th of the way there. The good is Cairo Station is one of the hardest missions so you're done with that noise!
10:50 I was sat in the hallway and the flood spawned, turned around and rekt me. They certainly do not IGNORE you :P

I see you are making a entire new Laso guide. Funny thing is I finished the MCC yesterday. So its kinda funny I get a notification about a LASO guide to a mission I finished two days ago.

@@HaloCompletionist Well if you come out with a new Halo 3 LASO Guide I'll do it again. Just on my 360 version instead. Since I don't got anything left to do other than get all the tiers on the MCC. I would do ODST or 4, but I don't own a separate copy of either than the MCC! lol
I had two sniper flood forms spawn in the room at 5.30! So glad to have even made it this far.
This was THE easiest mission for me. The nightmare is almost over.
Because of you I've beaten ODST and Reach LASO. I'm on Gravemind in Halo 2 and I'm trying to find the motivation to finish
Keep at it! The butterfly jumping in the grav lift was one of the hardest things to get down in all of LASO across all Halo games. The only thing close to it was maybe getting the gun behind the door and bubble shield jumping out of the map at the end of Reach
Finally, here we go, The last one, complete the mission!
What’s funny is that the bug from vista and now mcc, helps you. The bug being the carrier forms scripts failing to make them drop further from the pelican, decent stroke I’d say.

You'll get through it brother. I restarted 4 separate times at the prison skip section. We struggle together haha

@@Didact357 I ended up saying fk the skip and just did the whole prison section. Took me 2 hours to figure out the perfect path to not get spawn killed.
Now I know how I'll be spending my memorial day...

Just finished Gravemind and Uprising in the same day, going to run the last 2 tomorrow and be onto Halo CE to finish the MCC (Besides multi-player achievements)
For the first part, my partner and I didn't do any fancy platforming, we just cleared the room. It's just easier that way in co-op for us. Once the enemies were all dead, we beat down the nearby Flood corpses for shielding (with the rocket launcher which I kept for later) and moved on.
I used the rocket launcher later on mostly to knock that last group of Flood in the Drone room into the pit. My partner went up, lured them out for me, and I shot the two shots I had to knock them out of the way. Worked like a charm even though I thought I messed it up.
We didn't bother with the brute shot for scaling over the next part. Or my partner grabbed it and used it to keep up, maybe, but I just used a plasma grenade to get over that bit and then restocked on shields with the abundance of blobs later (lost my shield and nearly died by getting shot, but made it through well enough that I'd say you could probably do it too, if you're reading this and don't have one). Then I didn't follow over the next bit because I didn't want to accidentally plasma my overeager partner and then I couldn't really catch up. Which is fine, because the next room was better solo, to avoid getting caught. Once he got into the elevator and made his way up it was pretty simple to deal with.
Didn't have anything to snipe the Jackal with, so I just revealed one of the nearby Flood for it to fight and my partner wound up sniping it (guess he kept a beam rifle). From the top, you're not in much danger and can walk straight to the end of the level without even being shot at if you're lucky like me.
Compared to what we've dealt with in the past, this was nothing. The next level might be a pain, though... we'll see.

Small thing but for future laso guides is their any way in post to just put a small dot where the reticle would be It would help when judgeing where we need to look to grenade and rocket jump
Go into a custom game, grab a sniper, mark on your TV with tape or something where the retical is
Not for setting my reticle I already do that I'm saying for his more specific tricks where it's like move the reticle here and throw a grenade for a jump. Like if he did the Keyes bump we would need a reticle to line up to make the trick.

Silver the elevator does go down if you press the button again, it takes some time
7:10 sometimes its easier to fight thru if you got bad RNG on spawns :)
Another one bites the dust. No flood spawned for me when I was hiding in the tunnel either, so I just booked it. Completely lost my shields, but mad it through the door. H2 section is almost over! 24/46

I've been begging 343 to add in 4 player Coop to CEA and 2A campaigns now because of the other Halo campaigns in the collection, which allows 4 player Coop (Reach, 3, ODST, 4). I know it might be unbalanced but I think it would be worth doing it now to experience the whole collection with 4 people. Even Halo 5 (and assuming Infinite) supports 4 player online Coop as well.
H2 and CE weren't built for 4 player co-op, 4 player co-op would change things too much and prob break the game
i haven't tried laso much but doesn't chief have access to active camo aswell with the envy skull?
It exists, but that skull isnt included in the LASO playlist, unfortunately.

Halo Completitionist I saw a world record video about this mission. The guy flies with a combat form by continuously punching it till the end of the mission. I don't understand how to do it. Wouldn't that method, though, be faster (mission completion in 1 minute) and a cool skill to show off?
It's very difficult to master so not really worth it unless you're going for a world record speedrun. This mission isn't too difficult anyway and I wanted as many people to get through as possible.

My friend and I haven’t even started Halo 2 LASO yet, but I was wondering, is the flood flying thing possible on Laso?
I suppose this one must be somewhat easy though seeing as the video is quite short and learning the flood flying would be a pain
It's possible, but not worth it to learn. It's pretty difficult, easier to just go through the mission if you don't already know the trick.

In the part where you hide in the corridor after you go up the elevator I always get spotted if the flood spawn infront of me lol

Of course the combat forms don’t turn around in the little hallway for Silver but they do turn and kill me EVERYTIME wtf?!
The room at 9:16 you can de spawn those enemies I don’t know how to do it exactly. So look it up

Why dont you use the flood flying glitch to skip the entire mission?
That's a tough trick to master. Figured it's easier for most people to just play through the level. The level itself isnt too tough and is fairly short.

4:33 when I went there a bunch of flood spawned and killed me :/
actually they were just hiding there, couldnt get a shot at them at the first platform but you can shoot them without getting to close on their own platform, there's only 3
Just look up the butterfly skip on this level to make it easy
Didn't use that cause it's not that easy lol. I know the skip but this level isn't very difficult so it's not really worth learning that skip for the average player.
Halo Completionist still it’s a nice skip for the par time
Shadow wo1f05 I spent 3 hours trying to do that skip and only got close twice while doing monopolized. Ended up just speed running through it way below par time

How do you have a flashlight when you’re supposed to have camo?
You only have camo when you're playing as the Arbiter. When you're the Master Chief you only have a flashlight.
Halo Completionist but there’s a skull in halo 2 that swaps out the flashlight for camo and that’s usually on when you play LASO because its an OG halo 2 skull.
The H2 LASO playlist in MCC has all the original skulls minus Envy (the skull that gives MC camo).
