I love this so much. I recently had to put my mother in a nursing facility and to dress up her room I'm going to do this to make it a bit cheerier for her.
@@padmeskywalker1537 Unfortunately, COVID happened before I could even start the project and the facility was locked down. By the time the lockdown was over my mom was on palliative care and died a few days after we were allowed to re-enter. Thank you for asking after her.
Thank you for doing this. So cute and the colors really make it! I thought about using up scraps and so made one. FYI if anyone thinks of using odd bits that I took approx 70" per flower (with generous ends) and that's pretty loose stitches. I think you could get by with 3" less easily but 2 yds. per flower is an easy rounded amount to remember.
I forgot to mention that I am making these for a seniors home - I am housebound b/c of health so thought it might be nice to donate items to nursing home. Again tk u for yr great videos - really luv the way u make them & the items u make. Tks again for donating yr time and talent.
Thank you I am making yellow and white flowers on variegated sage/pale green chain. This will compliment my daughter's yellow and white gingham/you are my sunshine themed baby shower!
Love this! I want to hang strings of these in my bare winter trees…. This gray winter is getting to me and I need some color. Thanks for the how to and inspiration to make it.
With the color changes made by the yarn I thought those flowers looked a lot like pansies, where not all of the petals are the same color. Very cute. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you for this simple design and showing how to attach chained garland to flower backs. I made 1" flowers using size 1.75 hook and #10 cotton Curio thread from Knitpicks.❤❤
This is super cute - love it a lot - am making items for RAOCK & want to make some of these - I thought maybe 3 & 5 per garland - I am not good at judging - I was thinking of leaving 12 chains twix flowers but don't know how many to leave on ends - cud u pls help me out. Many tks. I've subscribed to yr channel b/c I luv the items u make & yr teaching technique is great - just the right pace & we can see yr work clearly so it is easy to learn or pick up fm u. Many tks again for yr great videos & yr help.
I love this...and wish I had a place to use a garland...sadly, it does not suit my decorating scheme , but who knows...maybe I'll get an inspiration for its use.
I do love this project & saved it for future. You should create a Yarn Bomb playlist and show us all about that!! I’d tune in, sounds fun, creative, sooo interesting, how do I get involved? 🤩Perhaps as a local community project, during the pandemic 🤔
Depending on where you live, I'd advise getting permission first (it's classed as vandalism I think) but you could do it solo and sneaky or with a group as a large project! I love it, it really brightens things up and makes people smile - be prepared for it to get removed / stolen or ruined though so don't get too attached to your work 🤣
@@southerngirlhandmadeknit this is a great article which explains it better than I ever could! www.emmaleith.co.uk/tutorials-power/2016/4/19/ten-tips-for-a-sucessfull-yarnbomb
@@HookedbyRobin amazing! The end result is GORGEOUS and clearly gets lots of attention. With Breast Cancer awareness month coming up it gives me many ideas which I'm seriously going to think about and research to see what Yarners can maybe do in my area. It may be a bit late to start for an October thing but plenty of time for planning something big for next October. I really really love this!

This is lovely. I’ve been searching for a tutorial like this. Can I use these flowers as arm decoratives?
Thank you Scarlet! 🥰 I am not sure what you mean by arm decoratives I am afraid? x
@@HookedbyRobin I’m sorry about that I’ll explain better. Can I use it as sleeves by tying it around the full length of my arm?
I love this! What hooks do you use? I'm just starting out and I like the look of yours! Thank you
I use Clover Amour hooks 😀

Lovely! 🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷
Was wondering how to add these flowers onto an existing chain?? like the leaf garland
You could sew or crochet them on.😃🌸
Hi Robin ....if I won’t a small a flower do you go down in size hock thank you x
Thinner yarn and a smaller hook will give you a smaller flower yes :-)
These are so adorable! Im struggling to find a written pattern in your site for them though, help a girl out?
Thank you! I don't have one for this I am afraid.🤗
I’ve just made this but when I hang it the flowers tip forward. Do you have a solution for that ?
how many flowers are on your garland? just for reference, i want to make one for my mums birthday and i don’t know what’s a good length
Could I add more petals so it crunches more or is that silly?
Hi Andrea, not silly - give it a go!😃🧶
Thank you!!❤️
🥰🤗
Love love these! I'm just curious though..what is a "yarn bomb"?
It's sort of like yarn graffiti! It's when people secretly decorate public spaces with yarn installations 👍
@@HookedbyRobin Thank you Robin. That sounds so cute and fun. I have never seen anything like it here in the US but I feel like I want to do it!

Do you also have leaves, such as maple or oak?

Hi love this can you tell me the brand name of yarn and color please thank you

I love the tutorial it’s gorgeous but I struggle with it 😅
Ah no!🤗 Why?x
@@HookedbyRobin I just really struggled with the magic circle a lot 😅
So So cute. By chance, do you ever experience pain or discomfort when crocheting? If so, what do you do for comfort?

Hi, this is adorable:-) what is a yarn bomb? Thank you:-)
it's when knitters, crocheters and fiber artists cover public and private spaces with yarn, like benches in parks, or bicycles or even trees!
@@atrinka1 omg! That's a super cool idea:-) love it!
@@natbugart92 I have a video showing some of the yarn bombs on my recent visit to a yarn festival
@@natbugart92 ua-cam.com/video/7TYQVzWG-48/v-deo.html
is this a weight 4?
I can’t remember off the top of my head but you can use any yarn you fancy!😃
I thought a treble was yarn over 3 times not 2. Isn’t 2 a double crochet stitch ?
A double is just yarn over once before starting your stitch (USA terms) :) x
