SP 4449 excursion up the Columbia River Gorge on 7-3-2011

Railfanning steam trains is a whole different game. Fast paced crazy action is hard to keep up with, but I try! Following the 4449 and Amtrak Heritage unit 156 on an excusion from Portland, Oregon to Wishram, Washington on July 3rd, 2011. While waiting for the westbound return from Wishram, I caught a BNSF Unit Grain with units 5520, 4403 and 5269 at Avery Road. Next, a stack train passes with units 4826, 4500 and 4487.
