You guys are playing Breaching wrong. It doesn't auto wound like rending does, so the breaching (4+) warpfire cannon firing at S6 into a T7 contemptor would only get breaching on a 5+, since those are successful wounds. Love the batreps :>

When the 2nd sicaran exploded (the big explosion) the big blob of marines (with erebus, fighting the costodes) surely where in range of the explosion?

Love the Heresy content keep it up bois. Some of the best heresy content on the web. I love this match up Argal tal and his love hate relationship with his custodian buddies before betraying them and killing them after Istvan in the book the first heretic got me into Warhammer. So this is two of the army's I play that have a special place in my heart facing off super exited. Go gal vorbak but I hope Erubus dies for killing my boi Tal

I thought that the Pallas were in a squadron, meaning that they cannot split fire so would have to both target the same unit at 27:30, not that it had any impact with those rolls....
1:08:40 you talk about bracing with a vehicle, but since it requires a Morale test to Hold the Line it means that vehicles wouldn't be able to do it, however the Punisher Rotary Cannon is only strength 6 so counts as a defensive weapon so can be used in Return Fire and Overwatch.
I love the fire you have for explosions, looks great on camera.

In turn 1 the pallas' would only be able to hit units that the weapons are pointed at as they are hull mounted, like the sabre, so would only have had shots into the tac squads (from what I could tell). They don't have turrets or sponson firing arcs unfortunately, so they always have to directly face their target. Still a really fun game and obligatory "F*** Erebus!"

Achillus spear only has Ap3 so the Mara Gal gets a save but it has Ws6 so it does not hit it on threes.

Btw. all Marines have two close combat weapons.
Edit: Basic close combat weapons - All models are considered to have some form of basic close combat weapon. So even Terminators have them and that means that every model gets +1 attack unless they use breacher shields, specialist or two handed weapons. Tell me if I got that one wrong and basic close combat weapons are also excluded.

There are no special rules for Ws0 so an immobilised vehicle is not hit automatically but on a 2+.

Why was the scatter roll for Mhara Gal just 1 dice plus the scatter dice? I always thought that the scatter for blast is 2d6 and the scatter dice. Is there a rule I am missing?

Rending doesn't improve the AP of the weapon for the purposes of explosions! Also, I'm sure that the 2nd Pallas would have had cover saves from the container in front of it

Leviathan didn’t have line of site to second Pallas so you can’t hit what you can’t see
"Assassinate me harder daddy" - Konrad Curze. (I don't think nemesis works like that, I think it's only used if the unit has the stat above 5 in it's entry).

@@SNBattleReports at 1.03 the custodes player uses Nemesis against the buffed tactical unit, but I think it only comes into effect against elite units that have natural baseline 5s rather than a unit where something has buffed them via a power or equipment.
@@SNBattleReports Aha! Just confirmed in the FAQ, Nemesis ONLY applies to a basic, unmodified stat of 5 or over. Not to anything raised by powers, equipment or rules.

Just one thing, why such small point value games? Horus Heresy is recommended at 3k points. Is this just being stuck in 40k habits or?
Just building the armies up at the moment. We have done a couple of 2500 which is the recommended for this edition by the play testers.

Yer would like to do 3k games or even bigger in the future. I actually quite like 2k though - as I say in the video I’m on my way to 2.5k for a legal list 😊

Sorry, I'm quite new to horus heresy, but when DC fires the Warp Blaster? from the Mhara Gal and it scatters, why does DC only roll that 1 dice and not two?

"Change the first sentence of the second paragraph to:
'However, units containing one or more models with the Fearless special rule cannot use any Reactons that grant a Cover Save, Armour Save or Invulnerable Save, and cannot choose to fail a Morale Check due to the Our Weapons Are Usesless special rule"
Ah but then they've also FAQ'd the Shourded rule with wording that confuses me now.
'Shrouded rolls may not be taken against Melee Attacks, against attacks with the Ignores Cover special rule or for models with the Fearless special rule'
