Hello. It's been a year since you made this review. Do you still stand by everything you've said about the seasucker talon? I'm interested in finding a bike mount and because I have a hatchback, it seems my only option is one of these suction cup types since I don't have a roof rack and I don't want to spend a lot of money on having a hitch receiver installed to the rear of my car. My biggest concern is the suction cups failing. I drive mostly on freeways in a city with bipolar weather. It can be torrential rain one day and blistering heat the next. It gets really hot in Houston so I am really concerned about the rubber melting on the hood of my hot car in the summers.
@@scorpionoir4952 Yes, I have not had any issues. I think it would work well in those conditions. I have never had the seasucker come loose in rain or in freezing temperatures. Aside from occasional lubrication, I have not had to do any maintenance or replace any parts.
@@tcv4 Thank you. I'm sold. I've been racking my brain and someone said something about Seasucker and I had to do research and your video really helped me.

Of course, you could buy the rear mount separately and mix n match brands!

Do you reckon Searsucker can retain an E-MTB adequately enough given the higher weight?
Up to 45lbs, then they recommend their minibomber.
If the parts are basically the same can you interchange the pump mechanisms between the brands?
Maybe. They seem to fit together but not sure if they seal as well. I didn't test it fully screwed together.
One is Chinese made and the other American made.
What kind lube do you use in it?
